Shit i hope its not more painful than childbirth. Felt like i died and came back. ouch!!!!
Dont mean to scare anyone off. I had no drugs and iam a wimp so now i feel tough
RD that is exactly right why do they always need to have an answer to everything and if there is no answer its "well fu*k it then"
Gee that sounds like a great idea see if we can get our dh so just type up something to say how they are feeling with this ttc stuff it would be interesting to see how many of us could get our dh's to do it wouldnt it hey they may even get chating amongst themselves and start there own thead that we could sneak on and read.
I also think a christmas thread is a good idea. For us homebodies.

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 11:08

(((Tania))) sorry you had a fight . You know men, they always think if you talk to them about a problem they have to come up with a solution and find it hard if they don't have one. The amount of times I have said to DH I just want you to listen while I get something off my chest, not sit there trying to come up with an answer when there may not be one. I think that's why MN and talking to other women is really good as they tend to let you just blurt stuff out more.

DH is out (shopping ) atm but will ask him if he can pop in later and let you know how it is for him. (I think I know but would be interested to read what he'd say!!).

runtus · 22/12/2004 11:04

Well good luck Tania, sounds a bit scary but you can do it, I know you can! Can it be more painful than childbirth and I am guessing you did ok at that! Have you got someone to hold your hand and give you support? Remember we are all here for you honey.

I say we start a christmas club for all those enjoying the festive spirits! I'm in for starters!!!!!!!

Tania2 · 22/12/2004 11:03

Had ANOTHER fight with dh tonight.
Iam so stressed out....he thinks that i spend too much time talking to you girls and not to him about it all. but i feel that when i talk to him about it he just seems so not interested and really doesnt know what to say to help me through. really wish there was some dh's out there that can pop in and let us know really what they are thinking about this ttc stuff my dh just doesnt seem to understand me atm. But then again neither do i.

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 11:00

Good luck for that Tan. It does sound painful - do you not have any sort of anaesthetic / painkiller whilst they are doing it??? Do you know how long you will have to wait for it?

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 10:59

maybe that's a beter question to be asking atm - (rather than who will be testing over Christmas -) who will be drinking over Christmas?!!

Tania2 · 22/12/2004 10:58

Runtus see my gyno tomorrow and he will book me in for a levervist ultrasound where they put the dye through a cathidar {sp?} that is inserted into my uterus and push the dye throu my tubes hopefully i can withstand the pain i have been told that it is very painful but sometimes they can unblock the tubes if you are strong enough [scared icon face] if not i will be doing ivf
Thanks for asking.

runtus · 22/12/2004 10:57

I'll be joining you in the xmas booze up! Hopefully I won't be able to partake for much longer (although I have been saying that for 6 months now!) so I best get stuck in!

runtus · 22/12/2004 10:54

Thanks Tan, I am really hopeful this month! Trying to keep a lid on it as I kow it is def going to work but can't help being excited again!

What's happening with you now, are you waiting for another appointment or do you just have to decide whether or not to go for the IVF? Really hoping you get some good news this month too!

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 10:39

Moschops glad to hear about the darker line. If it makes you feel better when I was pg with DS I did 8 test in the first week as I was worried it would somehow 'go away' . I knew when I O'd so when I went to the docs told him I was 2 weeks pg - he told me that I couldn't be as no-one is ever 2 weeks pg - ??!! From my LMP he worked out I was 5 weeks and it felt so nice to have jumped from the fragile sounding 2 weeks to the much more solid sounding 5! Wouldn't worry too much about the docs appt, ime they won't do anything apart from book you into a midwife team and hospital (if that's what you want). They then leave you alone until your first appt around 12/14 weeks and when you get the first scan appt. Have to say I was a little disappointed not to get a "now you are pg" pack of some sort but his attitude was that it wasn't a medical condition and that there was very little for him to do! Hope you can relax over Christmas and enjoy being pg and enjoy the Schloer!! I'll be making the most of the champers in the hope it's my last blow out for a while

moschops · 22/12/2004 10:26

(((Hester))) thankyou xxx your words have made me feel better, and indeed thankyou to everyone else who offered words of support. i know why i feel this way.......it's because i tested so early...i was only 13dpo when i got my bfp and have been painfully aware of how 'only just' pregnant i am. i did the other test i had in my drawer this morning to make me feel a bit better and there it was, still bfp and the line was very dark too.

because of my awkward cycles i keep thinking of myself as nearly three weeks gone when really if i'd had af two weeks before i would be 5 weeks (i'm told thats how the docs work it out)......that sounds much better doesn't it!! haven't made an appointment with my dr yet because it will be impossible to get one at this time of year, will try and get in early as poss in the new year. Does anyone else have a doctors surgery who refuse to book appointments over a week in advance?

i will be around over christmas, we tend not to do visiting (although we do work christmas morning) so i'll shall be sat on my backside drinking Schloer and pretending it's wine.........

Sorry you had such a bad run runtus really hope the clomid works 1st month for you, you might even get twins 6% chance i think of twins on clomid. dh auntie fell pg first month on clomid now has twins boy and a girl. Best of luck to you.

runtus · 22/12/2004 10:04

Morning ladies, sorry for not posting for a while but I've been laid a bit low by all the chemicals goign round my body. The period pains I have had this month are like nothing I have every had before and in the end I had to take some super strength painkillers, which although stopped the pain - caused a few problems of their own. Namely; dizzyness, slurring my words, dropping things, sleeping at the drop of a hat etc. I went into work on Monday and had to come home again becuase I felt so bad. Did the same again yesterday and now I am home until after new year........

Not sure after all that what effect the Clomid is having but right now I feel better than I have for ages so it can't be doing any harm! Today is day 3 of the 5 day course, with Jan 1st being day 14 of my cycle so I guess I caould be testing mid Jan! Now that would be a nice present to go off to OZ with!!!

Not really had a chance to read all your messages but caught a few - Fab news Tania on your test results and the offer of help with IVF, that must be such a weight off your mind!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you this month anyway though .

StNickschik · 22/12/2004 10:00

Morning all - Have not posted for a while as been really busy at work and don't get much of a look in on the computer at home! This will probably be my last post for a while as away over Xmas etc. so festive sprinklings of baby dust all round let's hope 2005 is the year of the baby for us all. Comiserations for all those with af and Good Luck to Tania and anyone else with medical appointments - hoping for good news!
As for me I'm on CD 11 and due to OV on Boxing Day! However, my calculation could all be totally up the creek since last cycle was 34 days instead of the ususal 28/29 - am a bit confused now. Well that won't stop the bding that's for sure. DP asked me last night if we should be getting more active now - at least it proves he's been listening to me bless him!!!

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 09:40

glad you're feeling better Twiga. fingers crossed AF doesn't show...

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 09:36

jb it will be one big break after today! We are doing lots of travelling but we are seeing lots of lovely family and friends and I really enjoy it. Last year we stayed put which was nice but I like this way as other people get to do all the shopping, cleaning, cooking, making beds, etc and I get to laze around as a lazy ole guest Well, I'll mainly be chasing DS around and trying to stop him destroying people's 'precious things' but it certainly won't feel like work. Oh, and I had a bet with DH and think I've won the New Year's Day lie-in - hurrah! hurrah! Results to be confirmed tomorrow but I'm optimistic!

if it's not too nosy jb - what do you do, workwise that is?

Tania2 · 22/12/2004 09:31

JB you make me laugh
To be honest i admit i did doubt dh a little iam one of those girls that has trust issues. DH used to be a model and i have had alot of bitchy models trying to prove that they are better than me and cause trouble between us and he is one of those guys that are nice to everyone and the girls then think that he is being nice for a reason IYKWIM. But i soon set them straight.....nicely i mean

Twiga · 22/12/2004 09:30

Morning all!

CD29 here, expecting af today, nothing so far. Trying not to think too much about it as being ill may well have effected things. No particular symptoms, hard to tell as have been feeling sore, sick and tired all week anyway!

JB - I'm feeling heaps better this morning, yesterday things were still a little rough, am still feeling quite tired but relieved that things seems to be very nearly over. Have a nice Christmas away, will you get a chance to check in? Taboo, now there's one I've not had for a long time, seeing you talking about it has put me in mind to buy a bottle if af shows!

Tania, what a lovely offer from your mum, hope you don't need to take her up on it, but really nice to have her support. Great news on test results!

Jeds, really pleased you got an earlier appt, great news!

I'll be around over Christmas, am working on and off, as is dh until the 30th so will pop in and say hi when I can.

jingleballs · 22/12/2004 09:24

jingleballs · 22/12/2004 09:11

(believe me workin here we need it! lol) apparently thou the boss has a bottle of red wine for out tea break at 11! - not much work going on later on then! he he. it's funny yes counting in AF's, (It started off as weeks but now AF's)

RudyDudy · 22/12/2004 09:07

taboo??? Oh god, she's on the loopy juice already - looking forward to your posts later jb . You must be so excited about your DH coming home - don't you think it's funny that you count it in how many AFs left??!! We're off to my folks in the Midlands then Warrington, Preston and onto Edinburgh for Hogmanay. I'm sooo excited! Supposed to be working today but not sure how productive I'll be...
