@El1988 I think I can see faint lines on them both, how many dpo are you? I'd be tempted to say test again in a couple of days, but if I was you I'd try and get a boots early detection or some frer (£10 for 2 on Amazon) as I don't trust blue dye ones at this stage 🙈

I would normally say ignore out of the time but I find with the cheap test strips sometimes as they dry darker that's the only time you see the lines to begin with 🤭

El1988 · 22/10/2023 09:16

Ok I am really sorry for the triple post but I can’t seem to edit old posts… but I’m not imagining this one I don’t think, but I read it like 5 mins after I should have when I went to throw it in the bin…

Update - can anyone see anything here or am I going crazy and willing lines into existence that aren’t there?

i feel so bad now if this did work because I was like “feck it, I’m not pregnant this cycle anyways” and had a small bit of wine Friday night and had a bath yesterday…

Good morning ladies… I did a clear blue early response (10mlU/ml) morning and there’s a very very faint line… I think??? I can’t get a photo! And then the digital reads negative and the natural cycles test reads negative but they’re both 25mlU/ml so maybe there’s not enough for them to show up as positive yet? Help! DH is coming back tonight and I feel I should wait until he’s home to tell him but I also don’t want to get his hopes up for nothing… or my hopes up for nothing…11DPO…

Thank you @CurlyWurly1991. Were both already taking coQ10 but I'll be researching the others you mentioned. I think cutting out alcohol here is unlikely too, but my partner isn't a huge drinker (it's usually a small whisky after dinner a couple of times a week or the occasional beer). I've cut out caffeine and alcohol entirely while we are trying though. Always feels a bit one sided, doesn't it?

H0pefull · 22/10/2023 08:32

Thanks @CurlyWurly1991 ☺️ going to test on Thurs if no AF so looking forward to hopefully trying them out!

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/10/2023 08:28

@H0pefull I use the wondfo test strips, based on lots of positive reviews. Only had a bfn so far but I’m assured they are very early detection!

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/10/2023 08:27

@VJFord my DH takes Proceive (most days…)
Im planning on encouraging him to take CoQ10, Maca root and possibly fish oil as my reading suggests these are all great for the older blokes. Diet changes - same as for us - plus reducing alcohol right down (ideally zero - not going to happen here).

VJFord · 22/10/2023 08:15

Earlier in this thread some folks were talking about vitamins (@El1988 @worldwidetravel2017 @FigandHoney and others). I'm taking my vitamins pretty religiously and my partner is thankfully good too (if I get them out at breakfast time), but wondering what vitamins you've found are most often recommended for men when it comes to fertility? Were already taking quite a large range but wondering if I might have missed something

Angelsrose · 22/10/2023 00:57

Sorry @H0pefull I've not come across those strips before.

H0pefull · 21/10/2023 21:19

Evening ladies 🤍
does anybody have much experience using the Wondfo test trips? I ordered a box on impulse without reading any reviews…just curious to see if anybody has found them to be sensitive or particularly bad with indent lines? X

Fullofconfusion · 21/10/2023 19:33

Wow plenty to catch up on!!
I’ve been away on holiday for a week of glorious sunshine so have spent a good while catching up.
I’m on CD30. This is my first cycle since coming off the combined contraceptive pill so no idea what to expect! As I’ve said before it took 6 months for me to have a period after coming on the pill to conceive baby number 1 so I have no idea what will happen this time around.
I’ve had crampy pains and very sore boobs for the past 2/3 days so I assume this is my body preparing for AF

@VixFromThe6ix @Catson @happytobemrsg huge huge congrats!!

Catson · 21/10/2023 16:45

Thank you @FigandHoney @Cressie2 I just feel very fortunate, but equally in disbelief it has happened and just praying it's a sticky one.

I'm just trying to think of all my tell tale signs/symptoms, but in reality there were few. Just in case it helps anyone else now or googling in the future:

We dtd at 11dpo and I got really bad cramps afterwards which never normally happens.
Doing my tesco food shop, the bakery section smelt really strong and almost mouldy, to the point that I couldn't believe staff were happily working there (normally it doesn't smell bad at all).
My boobs are always sore after ovulation but the soreness goes. This time it didn't, but equally it didn't get any worse.
I have craved raw carrot for about a week now.
I bought sprite and sparkling water when I was in Tesco. I don't normally like either but I fancied some.
My Fitbit resting heart rate has gone up, not down as I said on my previous post. I don't really trust my Fitbit totally but it's a good guide
My blood pressure has dropped. It's normally lowish, but this morning was 97/61. I don't test it massively regularly though
I've had nausea on and off for a few days, which is not like me
I had lower back ache for no reason at 12/13dpo
I had some ewcm type discharge a couple of times when I wiped, but nothing major and I probably wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't 'looking' for it.

With my first I was exactly the same. No real symptoms at all, and I got a positive. Didn't stop me symptom spotting this time though

Don't buy one step early detection test strips. They don't work.

Cressie2 · 21/10/2023 16:00

@Catson so so happy for you! Lots of BFPs from people this month. You must all be doing something right. Really hope your second test reads just as well and in the meantime, have a mini celebration ❤️

FigandHoney · 21/10/2023 15:02

Congratulations @Catson So happy for you. Wishing you a sticky bean and a lovely 9 month pregnancy.

@H0pefull Sorry you feel like you are out. But cramping and CM can also be a positive sign. Fingers crossed it is.

Sorry about the BFNs @El1988 and @VJFord . There is still time.

CurlyWurly1991 · 21/10/2023 14:28

@Catson i see my RHR track my BBT too - very handy when I’m not waking at a consistent time etc

Catson · 21/10/2023 12:57

Something else I've noticed with my Fitbit. In previous cycles the day AF arrives my resting heart rate dips (literally by one or two BPM). My heart rate has been at 70 for a few days, then 71 for 2 days and is up at 72 today.

Thanks @JustTrying1 ❤️x

i have woken up this morning honestly feeling like AF was coming with the cramps I’ve had..it’s not due till Thursday / Friday could it be arriving this early?? this paired with the increasing CM I had yesterday I’m feeling a bit deflated 😔

I had light cramps when early preg

You never know

@Catson oh thank you for that link! I've been taking conception plus for about 3 month but stopped last month. I'm also on folic acid prescribed by the doc after my blood tests, so I might take those you suggest alongside them too. I'll be rattling by the end of this with the amount of tablets I'll be taking 😂

@happytobemrsg oh wow cycle 1! That's great! Did you fall quickly with your other children too?

Sorry to hear you feel like AF is here @H0pefull ... But you aren't out until she's here!

Raisins - apricots and peas 4 iron too :)

For those talking about vitamins, I've been taking these that I got from Tesco https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0013G6FSG?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_dp_0C38BG2GXP7VA3RZ5RHT&language=en-GB

And Tesco own make high dose vitamin D. I haven't been taking them religiously but they might help. The iron tablets have B12 and folic acid too as well as various other things

Thanks 4 this
Im getting my feretin checked mid nov
To see if a month on oral better you iron spray has made a difference - if not - il try this next.
I think maybe i have some gut issue.
Although my body has absorbed the folic acid and vit d tablets

I tentatively joined it this morning @happytobemrsg, only because I didnt want to lose it 🙈 they seem to be chatting about a FB group, definitely not joining that!!

happytobemrsg · 21/10/2023 10:05

@Catson sounds sensible. How are you feeling? Yep I did the due date calculator & its 27th June. Not quite ready to join the June thread yet. Will be booking a viability scan mid November

Thanks so much @JustTrying1 ! This was cycle 1 for DC#3 for us so very lucky.
