Hello! I'm 36 and TTC no. 2. This is cycle 6 but I only weaned from breastfeeding a couple of weeks ago so feeling cautiously optimistic as I think it was wreaking havoc with my hormones. Know it may well take a few months for hormones to regulate but remain hopeful!

Premom has me down as 1dpo. Anyone want to keep me company during what I suspect will be a painfully slow two weeks?! DTD 6 times in the last 8 days so i don't think I could've given it anymore if I'd tried - especially with a 2yo to look after! 😴

@etaketak1991 I'm using the one step ones too! CD 12 and got a high reading of 1.37 so far!

Wondering if it's false readings due to letrozole? DTD last night and may aswell go again tonight 😂

@secondtimelucky87 Oh that's good that the cbfm confirmed the peak! Good luck for the last stretch of BD, hope it makes a difference.

What OPK strips have you been using? I've been using the cheap one step ones and I've never gotten a positive higher than 0.8. I've always wondered whether its the strips or me, and I need to get some more for next cycle so might dig a little deeper in my pockets this time!

Thank you! Fingers crossed.

These are the ones I use as I like that the Premom app reads them. Had the darkest one I've ever had this morning I think, so hopefully the weaning has helped 🙏 Still thrown by my low temps but we'll say if they go up after ovulation.

@secondtimelucky87 Ah I guess you're in the TWW now then, yes? Good luck 🤞

Thank you both ❤️ Whatever this illness is, it's kicking my bum, and my DD is only occasionally sympathetic 😂 I'll be glad to see the last of it.

That sounds so horrible sorry! Hope you're not unwell for too much longer! 😊

Ended up getting a higher peak over 1 on LH strip yesterday and today I got my first peak on the CBFM, which tallies up with Premom saying I ovulated today. Temp was still only 36.53 today though so no coverline on my BBT chart. Last month we stopped on ovulation day so I guess we'll see if carrying on for one more day makes a difference!

I feel a bit more chilled out about it all this month though. Maybe just because the toddler meltdowns have been so tricky I haven't really had a chance to fixate on TTC. Probably a good thing anyway as it can become a bit all-consuming otherwise.

@secondtimelucky87 good to hear all normal but defo understand that limbo feeling 🥴

@etaketak1991 oh no! Hope it's not that, rest up plenty hot honey and lemon! Xx

etaketak1991 · 13/10/2023 18:24

@secondtimelucky87 That's good that it's all in the normal range! Hopefully that can give reason for your DH's test being fast tracked.

I've been written off work by the doctors for next week and they want to take some x-rays in case I have pneumonia, so going to take a step back from TTC this month now. Onto cycle 6 when I'm hopefully feeling better 😂 Keep me up to date though, I want to know how everyone is getting on!

Oh my goodness you poor thing! I hope you're OK and that it's not anything serious. Sounds like a good idea to let your body heal first so just focus on that for now 🙏

Not sure what's happening with my body this month. I had a lowish 'peak' of 0.84 yesterday on OPK and back to negative today as of 630 this morning. Didn't DTD yesterday as my toddler is going through such a tricky phase with tantrums atm we both just needed to chill out with some crap telly after bedtime. Will try for a few days but I'm not feeling hopeful tbh. I wonder if stress is wreaking havoc as it has been a WEEK between work and the toddler meltdowns.

Got through to doctors. Only spoke to receptionist but all normal apparently so that's good. I hope they fast track my husband's sperm analysis though as otherwise just feel like we're in annoying limbo of not knowing whether there's anything wrong there!

Oh how annoying @secondtimelucky87 🙈 I have gab clue either 😂

So I got these but no other info or insight into what these numbers mean so will have to do my own research until the GP calls me! 🤷‍♀️

@Daniki You couldn't have timed that better haha!

@secondtimelucky87 Oh fingers crossed for good news, let us know how you get on. I hope your DH hears back from the doctors soon too. Interesting that your cbfm has only given high readings, is that just off your estrogen?

Yeah it's detected estrogen rise but still no LH surge...which in fairness tallies up with my OPKs too! Thank you - will be really useful to have those results so hopefully back by tomorrow. Only managed to BD once this fertile period so far so need to make up for it this weekend I think. 🤣

Hi @secondtimelucky87 , how are you doing? Any sign of ovulation yet? Premom is predicting my peak tomorrow and Fitbit is saying Sunday so who knows 😂 No sign of peaking on my OPKs and I've only got 3 left!! Might have to wing it.

@Daniki how is the letrozole going?

Hello! All good here, thank you! I'm hoping I'll get my bloods results tomorrow. GP surgery said they actually arrived on Tuesday but maybe it takes a while for doctors to get around to looking at them and phoning back. No peaks here yet but I'm only CD12 and it seems to happen day 13/14 here. Still only highs on the CBFM so far too. May well not get any peaks first month using it though! Otherwise all OK. Nothing from doctors yet about an SA for my husband though which tbh is annoying me a bit. I'm having regular cycles, seem to be ovulating and I know there's only ever the teeniest chance of conception each month but I just want to know if there's anything we can optimise! He's going to chase up again tomorrow..

@etaketak1991 went well! I had my HSG this morn aswell and tubes looked clear he couldn't see any blockages so delighted with that. Can't have sex for 48 hours, which will bring me up to day 11 so just in time for the fertile window 😂🤞🏻

Daniki · 10/10/2023 21:29

@secondtimelucky87 only took half an hour so that's not so bad 😂 I'm always the one to do bedtime as my husband farms in the evenings but we take it in turns with the monitor and the night wake ups, which thankfully are getting less 😖 god I remember the ease of when he was little and he was just feed right back to sleep 🥹

Daniki · 10/10/2023 20:12

@secondtimelucky87 I think we're living the same life atm 😂 my son takes AGES to go to sleep at night I struggle to keep my patience 😢 I have to lie beside him last night took 1.5 hours. A few weeks ago I cut his nap and it helped but he was falling asleep in the floor and all in creche and was really cranky when I collected him and for the whole evening and falling asleep in car on way home. So we reintroduced a 45 min nap but it's not really helped. The last week he has been having 2 hour naps because he's unwell so prob why it's back to been up for hours 😖

Aww I totally get you! Up until last month I had the magic of BF to get her sleepy - even though she didn't feed to sleep, it definitely helped! Yeah we lie down with her, cuddle and sing songs until she falls asleep too. Just takes a while!

Tonight was actually quite quick at 40 mins and it was my husband's day (we take it in turns) so I got to chill on the sofa! 🙌

Definitely affects their sleep when they're poorly though! Hope your bedtime wasn't too bad tonight.

@secondtimelucky87 Haha I hate when that happens 😂 Did your DH not come wake you up? I agree, might be time to start capping those naps! My girl dropped her naps at just past two but we had building work on at the time which basically forced it 😩 I miss the days when she used to go for 3 hours!!

Nah it's just been taking so long to do bedtime I think he assumed it was just that. 🙄🤣 In fairness I'm not sure I could have faced it last night with how exhausted i was!

Ah mine is at the stage of definitely needing to drop it from a bedtime point of view but also needing it to survive the afternoon! I quite look forward to it being dropped soon!

secondtimelucky87 · 10/10/2023 07:20

Well no BD for us last night. Instead, I fell asleep putting my toddler to bed and woke up very confused at 9:30. 🤣🤣🤣 Still nowhere near an LH peak though so despite Highs on CBFM I think we're OK to start tonight. It's just taking FOREVER to get my LO to sleep atm. She's having mega naps until past 2pm at nursery so I think it's time to have a word about capping them 🤣

@secondtimelucky87 A continuation I think! Saw the doctor and got some antibiotics so fingers crossed I'm feeling in better shape soon! I got a very negative OPK today so hopefully still time 👍 Good luck with gathering the energy for your own BD 😂

@secondtimelucky87 is this your first time using the monitor? Wondering if I should bother with LH strips this month being on letrozole will it give funny readings!?

Hmmm yeah good point! GP did say to me that usually aiming for 2-3 times a week is enough.

Yeah first time using it. Have had two lows and first high today so should really start BD today I guess. I think we stopped too early last month though so tempted to skip tonight as we're both so exhausted and just try to go for longer this cycle. It's tiring work this TTC!
