Hello! I'm 36 and TTC no. 2. This is cycle 6 but I only weaned from breastfeeding a couple of weeks ago so feeling cautiously optimistic as I think it was wreaking havoc with my hormones. Know it may well take a few months for hormones to regulate but remain hopeful!

Premom has me down as 1dpo. Anyone want to keep me company during what I suspect will be a painfully slow two weeks?! DTD 6 times in the last 8 days so i don't think I could've given it anymore if I'd tried - especially with a 2yo to look after! 😴

@etaketak1991 god I could never get into the temping! I have tried to monitor my rhr but I'm not organised to keep track of it so forget what's normal and why's elevated 😂
Haha Il be 10dpo on Saturday so I'm sure if I was pregnant I'd show up then! I had a dream last night I tested (at 6dpo) and had a blazin line 😂😂

etaketak1991 · 26/09/2023 08:23

@Daniki Haha I tested the morning of a wedding back in August! Reckoned if a pregnancy was too early to show on a test then it was probably fine to have all the a few drinks 😂

Resting heart rate hasn't dipped yet but I've had quite a stressful few days so might have to discount that this month. BBT has spiked up again this morning! Doing ok so far 👍 Can Sunday hurry up yet 😂

@secondtimelucky87 yes hopefully get some
Answers! Have to go for an X-ray of my tubes next month aswell but if I get pregnant this cycle then I won't have to so 🤞🏻 god it's so difficult this time round 🫣

Hi all can I join? I'm 5dpo today so should be similar to you all! TTC since jan had a chemical in may but otherwise nada 🫣 going for a 21 day progesterone test on wed so that be interesting to get the results!
When will you all test? I try to hold out but I know rightly Il be testing from 7dpo 😂

Morning and welcome!

The progesterone test sounds like a really good idea. Hope you get some helpful results from it. 😊

@Bey Oh I feel the wobbles all the time 😂 I've got a 3 year old and ohhh my, the threenager age. No idea how I'd cope currently if I had a newborn as well, but I guess I just would!

@secondtimelucky87 Still above the cover line and still very early! You're doing just fine 🤞

My chart is still looking fine, but I drop around 10DPO so early days. Managing to actually not symptom spot this month as no difference to last month 😂 Can't believe I didn't realise how I'm bloated for a whole 10 days a month before TTC.

Back up again to 36.65 today at 7dpo! Still spiky but glad it's gone up not down. 🤷‍♀️

I don't know about you but the combination of nausea from all the supplements I'm on and then sticking a thermometer in my mouth too really makes me gag! 🤢 I can totally see why people invest in the wearables!

@etaketak1991 you too! Iv a wedding on Saturday so would really like to know before that 😂😂

etaketak1991 · 25/09/2023 21:04

@secondtimelucky87 Mine was super spiky last cycle but quite smooth this time? I've made sure to test when I first wake up in the night (usually at 3am, thanks DD!) instead of worrying about testing at the same time each day and I think that might have made a difference this time. But who knows 😂

@Daniki Hello! Hope your test goes well and you get some helpful results. I'm hoping to test on Sunday (12dpo) but will likely crack and POAS on Friday (10dpo) 😂 As long as my BBT hasn't dipped by then anyway. Good luck for this cycle!

It's so spikey though, no? Yours looks very promising indeed! I wonder what causes so much variety in BBT charts?

I'm really curious to see if stopping breastfeeding a few weeks ago lengthens my luteal phase. My average based on last 6 cycles has been 11 days which seems to be on the shorter end of normal...

Hope you're all good. I've been grateful for a madly busy day at work to take my mind off things!

I’m the opposite. I ovulate really early in my cycle (day 10 or 11) but then have a really long luteal phase (17-20 days).

My periods have been really light, short and painless since having my son, I’m a bit concerned my uterine lining might not be thick enough to actually support implantation and a healthy pregnancy.

I’m slightly jealous of your busy day at work (never thought I’d say that). My kids are at nursery today and I’ve been doing really boring cleaning/life admin jobs. It has not taken my mind off it at all!
I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of looking at websites that compare pregnancy tests and which dpo each one is likely to give an accurate result (I didn’t finish the ironing 😂)

Thank you for the responses, glad it's not just me that has the wobbles. But yes the desire for another child definitely outweighs the worry about how we'd cope.

6dpo today.

Fingers crossed it’s an implantation dip!

I’ve had some slightly pinching/fluttering sensations. Although it might just be that I’m noticing things because I’m thinking about it. 5dpo would be early for implementation (although I’m not 100% sure when I ovulated so I could be 6dpo).

Morning all. My 2.5 yo was quite challenging this weekend so can totally relate to the wobbles. Still desperately want a second though! But yeah it's a tricky age.

How are your charts looking? I've had a huge dip almost to coverline today but read implantation dips only happen rarely so who knows what it means if anything?!

Going to be absolutely gutted if it doesn't happen this month tbh.

Hey ladies just checking in, our littlest is poorly at the moment so it's been a stressful couple of days. I must admit there's been a couple of moments where I've thought what are we doing trying for another when we have zero family support and little ones VERY attached to me.

i just know if we don't try I'll regret it.

im trying soooo hard not to obsess/symptom spot. Really hoping I can hold out for my period being late before testing.

Those of you trying for a 2nd or 3rd child do you ever get wobbles like I have? I'm sure it's one of them that you just cope and get on with things once they're here.

Edited

We’re in a similar situation, poorly toddlers (and me) and family live too far away to offer much support.
I’ve definitely had a few wobbles and questioned whether this is the right thing over the last few weeks (especially last night when my 16 month old woke up every hour).
I felt the same between number 1 and 2 though. It was definitely the right thing for our family and I can’t imagine him not being here (mostly because he is never quiet so I don’t get the chance!)
This will definitely be our last though (hubby will get a vasectomy and I’ll get the coil after he’s born). And if it doesn’t happen then we’ll happily settle at two rather than pursuing fertility treatment etc.

Hi @Bey ,

I'm in cycle 2 of TTC baby #2, D4PO today but low hopes as we only managed to BD twice in my fertile window this month, and yes I was having major 2nd thoughts when my 20m/old had a major meltdown in the supermarket this week. Honestly it was mortifying, he was screaming like a banshee and I still have no idea why!
Of course he's been good as gold for his dad this weekend whilst I've been at work...

Bless you! They pick their moments to have huge meltdowns don't they. Sure they just like to keeo us on our toes. Good luck it only takes once 🤞so you're not out of the equation yet

Also, has anyone decided what tests they’re going to use (especially if you test early)?
I loved FRER in my previous pregnancies and really trusted them, but I’ve heard they’ve been really bad for false positives recently and they’re impossible to get.

I hope you feel much better soon! That sounds horrendous!

I've got about 6 Easy @ Home tests. I think I'm going to be good and not buy any other tests as those seem to be quite sensitive from what I've read. But ask me again in a few days... 🤣

Can't BELIEVE it's only 5dpo. Grateful for work tomorrow so that I'll barely have a chance to pee, let alone obsess about being pregnant or not 🙈

@Monkeymonkeymoo I got some boots early detection, heard they were good. I also got some ICs (one step and easy@home) but not planning on testing unless AF doesn’t show this time.

clearblues are terrible and FRERs are also very hard to get these days.

Morning all! Is anyone keeping an eye on their resting heart rate? I normally see 3-4bpm increase after ovulation, but mine has increased by 7bpm this month. It usually starts to drop today, so I'll be keeping an eye out.
I checked what it was like during my last pregnancy and there was almost no change in resting heart rate the whole nine months, so I may just be finding a new way to work myself up 😂 BBT is evening out but still increasing so at least there's that! Hope everyone else is doing well x

I’m not watching it particularly carefully this month but I do have a diary from my last pregnancy and had a 4-5 bpm rise after ovulation that lasted until I got my positive test at 10dpo (and stayed higher than normal for my whole pregnancy). Hopefully it’s a positive sign for you.

I’ve come down with a horrible cold over the weekend and I’m so miserable (I’m trying to avoid taking anything other than paracetamol just in case). I’m actually quite relieved I’m not temping this month because they’d definitely be out due to illness.
I’m also nauseous, exhausted and hot but I have to keep reminding myself that at 4-5dpo implantation hasn’t actually happened yet and so there’s no HCG and no chance that these are pregnancy symptoms, I just have a horrible virus. This week is really dragging. I’m desperate just to know!
