Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@graceinc22 aw a lovely line! Congratulations! 🥰

Bali200 · 01/12/2023 19:31

I agree @Ladyinpink1 it’s definitely been a lucky thread so far 🍀 how long are you going to try and hold off testing for? X

@Wise0wl eek so exciting, glad everything is progressing well! I also have my next scan around the same time, mine is the 17th 😬 x

Bali200 · 01/12/2023 19:25

Congratulations @graceinc22 💗! A great line considering it’s not fmu so try not to worry if it’s fainter than last time although I know it’s difficult not to compare x

Ladyinpink1 · 01/12/2023 17:21

Woohoo @graceinc22 I think you might be pregnant 😄 that's a great line, congratulations 🎊 x

We have had so many bfp on this thread, I feel like the ratio is really high in a short space of time, it's great, I hope it will rub off on all of us.

I am 5dpo today, going to try to wait until af is almost due and not test early, for my sanity, I haven't succeeded in waiting... like ever. Lol. x

@graceinc22 Well there's definitely a line on that one! Congratulations, crossing fingers for a sticky bean for you.

ThelastRolo20 · 01/12/2023 16:19

@Haylsttc not too bad! 1DPO so world's longest two weeks coming up 😂 I think we caught the right days though so fingers crossed @graceinc22 ah that's a fabulous looking positive 😍😍 congratulations!!

graceinc22 · 01/12/2023 15:44

!!!!!!

this is on boots early detection…

lines are much fainter than last time around… not getting too excited yet as I may start bleeding and it all be over x

Haylsttc · 01/12/2023 15:27

@ThelastRolo20 thanks, I’m not gonna get my hopes up but I’m happy with the effort we’ve put in 😊 how are things going with you?

@graceinc22 Omg I see a faint line 👀 Could you make it to boots to get one of their early response tests? keep us updated 🤞

graceinc22 · 01/12/2023 15:12

Hopefully tomorrow will make things clear after all!

graceinc22 · 01/12/2023 15:12

Oh man! My husband encouraged me to take a test and I caved!!! I think it’s a v v faint line… why do I do this to myself 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

ThelastRolo20 · 01/12/2023 14:28

@graceinc22 I'm so impressed you've held off testing! I have everything crossed that AF stays away and it's a positive!!

graceinc22 · 01/12/2023 14:12

ahh it’s 13dpo today, I usually start my period at 13dpo (last month was 12dpo), no sign of it yet but it could start anytime. Yesterday I thought I felt it starting but it was just white discharge. Hanging out and not testing even though I so badly want to!! Tomorrow morning it is, if I haven’t started bleeding by then… 🤞

ThelastRolo20 · 01/12/2023 14:09

@Haylsttc sounds like you've given it a good go this month with the vitamins etc 😊 fingers crossed x

@Bugdem123 excellent work squeezing a sesh in before MIL arrives 😂

Haylsttc · 01/12/2023 13:23

@CluelessInLondon I really like to try and have things to look forward to too if I get a BFN! January would have been my due date month so I know it’s a month I’m going to really struggle with so we’ve booked a week away so there’s something else to think about ❤️‍🩹

@Bugdem123 Strange about the clear blue digital ovulation tests! I’ve used it this month and I got two days of blank circles, four days of flashing smilies then peak! However I did use it a couple of months ago and that cycle it went straight from blank circle to peak, so it must depend on how quick the surge is maybe 🤔 Sounds like you’ve got your work cut out trying to navigate around the MIL 😂 hope it all goes to plan 🤞

@Wise0wlthank you for confirming! Yeah I’ve read a few threads about pregnacare apparently extending people’s cycle but it didn’t put me off as I also have a short LP so wouldn’t mind extending it by a few days haha! That’s exactly what we’ve done this cycle, I tracked ovulation with the clear blue advanced ovulation tests and almost followed SMEP just did the three days in a row starting from the day before peak instead of peak! Also got my partner on the wellmans conception vitamins too! Really hoping it works for us, this is probably the best try we’ve given it since the MMC🤞

Wise0wl · 01/12/2023 12:11

@Haylsttc you’re right, I did take pregnacare before getting my bfp! There is a thread about it delaying ovulation/making cycles longer (I don’t know how much science there is behind this though) but I think if it did have that effect it worked in my favour as I had short cycles and a short LP after my MMC. I also tracked ovulation and loosely followed SMEP - it was a month where I really wanted to feel like we’d done everything we could!

Bugdem123 · 01/12/2023 12:10

@CluelessInLondon it does tend to peak quite quickly and then stay there for a day or so. I'm just a bit surprised as it's a few days earlier than normal. The strip test is darker but not quite positive yet, saying 0.61 on the Premom app so I'll do another tonight and possibly another digital one. The digital one says it's supposed to detect an oestrogen surge before the LH and you've to use FMU so who knows what's going on. We've managed a quickie before the MIL gets here 😂 so can hopefully manage another tomorrow morning.

That's so good you've managed to book a holiday and can get some planning done. I found it really helpful to have something nice to look forward to. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better too. It's such a rollercoaster of emotions just now.

ThelastRolo20 · 01/12/2023 11:33

@CluelessInLondon so pleased you're feeling a bit better and such a good idea to have something to look forward to. I'm doing the same whilst in the TWW - trying to focus on Christmas and not the potential test date x

CluelessInLondon · 01/12/2023 11:29

@Oxalis00 Good news on the positive OPK! Hope you get yours soon as well @Bugdem123 - do you know if you normally have quite a sudden LH surge? That might be what's going on and why the digital one is still showing low.

CD4 for me and feeling a bit more positive than I was earlier in the week - think the hormones are now settling down after my period! Also agreed with my husband that we need to have some things to look forward to - we pretty much always have our next holiday booked and with the miscarriage we didn't do anything in the autumn, so we've agreed that if TTC doesn't work this cycle we're going to get away for a week in January. Already feeling like that gives me something else to focus on, I can do some holiday planning in the next couple of weeks to distract me from the constant waiting to ovulate, and if it's disappointment again I at least get to book a holiday and have something fun to look forward to. Wish I could afford to book a holiday every time TTC doesn't work... 😅

SnookyPook · 01/12/2023 11:26

@graceinc22 thank you 🙏🏼 I've got an early scan booked on 21st December.... At least if it's bad news I will get the distraction of Christmas I guess. I'm just trying to take it day by day and keep the hope going until there's a reason not to.

@Ladyinpink1 thank you! Haha work night was fun. My boss did look a bit put out when she offered to buy me a drink and I chose a ginger beer!! Haha! Before that I'd managed to order mocktails but we'd moved to a pub with very limited options. Think she was too tipsy to analyse it much anyway 😂

@Wise0wl love those words and that's how I'm trying to approach the pregnancy too - in hope not fear!

@Bugdem123 haha typical timing! Hope you manage a cheeky horizontal tango before the MiL gets there! 😂

@Oxalis00 I think I'd probs move it to 7 days past peak opk as others have said but always good to chat to GP anyway. Hopefully it will start a convo about your cycle at least.

Hope everyone else is ok. Xx

ThelastRolo20 · 01/12/2023 09:54

@Oxalis00 so happy you got your peak! Definitely speak to GP, I reckon they'll push it back or maybe test twice? Hope your temp does what it's meant to x

GeorgeR28 · 01/12/2023 09:23

@Wise0wl thankyou so much. I love that, really needed to hear that today. I hope you’re okay ❤️

Bugdem123 · 01/12/2023 08:48

@Wise0wl I also like to know the reasons for things so totally get that. Hopefully time flies and your scan is here before you know it.

I've woke up this morning with lots of EWCM, but a low on the digital OPK. Haven't taken a strip one yet. This of course happens when my mother in law is arriving at lunchtime 😅. Can hopefully squeeze in a try before she gets here just in case the digital OPK is lying to me.

Wise0wl · 01/12/2023 07:58

Congratulations @SnookyPook - what a lovely line! ♥️

@Bali200 @CluelessInLondon @Gem0302 thank you. I like knowing the reasons for things so knowing I have a haematoma stops me second guessing why I’ve got spotting, and the progesterone makes me feel like I’m doing something about it. Next scan at EPU is on the 18th, so I’ll keep you posted.

@GeorgeR28 welcome and I’m so sorry about your terrible experience. DH had wise words which were that you have to TTC in hope, not fear - easier said than done, I know. Wishing you lots of luck.

@Oxalis00 my inclination would be to go to the GP anyway and ask them? Worse case you get two sets of bloods and a convo about what’s going on? Good luck xx

Ladyinpink1 · 01/12/2023 07:10

@SnookyPook aw what a lovely surprise for you 🎊, you really deserve it after this past year 💜 Hope you are keeping well so far and your work night out goes OK mahbe you could become designated driver to throw everyone off as to no drinking 😄x

Yay for the positive opk @Oxalis00 I don't know much about the tests but i think rescheduling fir a little later might be better x

@SnookyPook wow, absolutely lovely news. Especially after everything you’ve been through this year, really really hoping this is a completely straightforward pregnancy. Because of your losses this year, are they going to offer you any support in the pregnancy? I remember you were waiting for a fertility clinic referral x
