Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@SnookyPook That's good your cm is changing now. And that means not long to wait for positive opk hopefully then! 🙂 x

Hi @Bali200 That was a tough experience finding out at your scan, I'm sorry. If it's any comfort my periods were alot lighter after my first miscarriage too, but we still conceived again x

@Oxalis00 Yes exactly no choice in the gap, do you find the time that's been used up so far hard? I struggle with that, especially to be back at square one again.

After yesterdays light spotting It has came back ! So I'm counting this as cd2. Yes my bbt dropped the day before the spotting too so hopefully today at some point yours will come back too for you.

The last few days (sorry tmi) of bleeding from loss, I had alot of ewcm with it, and I didnt start my opks until after the bleeding stopped so I think I missed it. x

Hi everyone, so sorry for all of your losses.

This is my first cycle of ttc after my MMC of my first baby, discovered at the 12 week scan on the 12th august, with an MVA carried out on the 14th. Baby was 8+3.

I’m currently on CD10 but have been experiencing brown spotting since CD7 which is a bit confusing. My first AF was the same as it was pre-pregnancy, two days long and light, so not sure why I’m spotting.

This is the first time ttc as the first pregnancy was a happy accident. Not holding out much hope for this cycle but we are going to try so shall see what happens x

tife1234 · 20/09/2023 12:54

@Ladyinpink1 thanks I hope these is your cycle too

SnookyPook · 20/09/2023 11:38

@Ladyinpink1 yes I'm using opks. Nothing yet but I normally get quite a quick rise. If the CP bleed just reset things like AF then I should be about CD9 today - normally get my peak around CD12-14 so we'll see. I feel like my CM has begun to increase/change a bit so hopefully on track.

@Oxalis00 we've definitely spoken on other threads but I'd forgotten just how similar our timelines are (MMC in April and my DS will be 3 in Jan). I've also had a tough time coming to terms with the bigger age gap. I know there will be some benefits, and I keep telling myself we will get the right gap for our family etc... but... it's just not what I'd pictured and I am struggling a bit and just longing to give my son a little playmate etc. It's one of those weird things as I know thinking about it won't change anything and I really need to focus on the positives to it all, but as the due date draws closer I just keep looking at my son and thinking what a lovely big brother he'd be to a little baby right now (we've got two other babies in the family who he adores). It's hard isn't it. BUT when our rainbow comes along, I'm sure we won't be able to imagine things any other way. 🤞🏻🌈💕

Oxalis00 · 20/09/2023 08:12

Yes there are benefits to a bigger age gap if you choose to look for them, you’re right @Ladyinpink1 I guess it’s feeling the choice has been taken away that’s hard.

I’ve had unusual (for me) spotting this cycle too - two days of it so far and still no sign of the flow increasing. My BBT dropped this morning though so hopefully it’ll come today. Otherwise it’s back to worrying about what on earth is going on in my body! I hope it sorts itself out for you quickly. Were you tracking ovulation at all?

Ladyinpink1 · 19/09/2023 21:40

@moosey89 That sounds so good, it's all just so long isn't it.

What I thought was my period starting today has now stopped so I'm wondering is it spotting. 🤔 feeling frustrated with it. Did anyone else have this after? x

@Oxalis00 I'm sorry that on top of your loss things have also been so complicated for you. A year has past since we started ttc now, so my age gap is also constantly growing too, but i'm trying to think to myself it will be nice to have a little bit of a bigger gap and one on one time with the baby while other dc at school.
And I bet your dd will be such a great help and loving helping with baby with her being a little older x

Similar story here 🙋🏻‍♀️ MMC end of April, found at what should have been 12 week scan than baby only made it till about 9 weeks. It’s been a horribly drawn out physical process (medical management, two surgeries for retained products and a blood transfusion) and am now on the first period where I feel physically ready to give TTC a try again. I have a DD who’s nearly 3, and a bit sad about the growing age gap sometimes - finding it strange how grown up she’s getting before I’ve even conceived her sibling. Fingers crossed! I’d be glad to journey with others. (And I see some familiar names and stories from the MC boards.)

moosey89 · 19/09/2023 15:19

@graceinc22 it's horrible isn't it! This was my second loss too, but my first was with my ex and we didn't try again after as the marriage fell apart. I'm really tired of the whole process now, wish I could just fall asleep and wake up with a baby! 😂

Ladyinpink1 · 19/09/2023 15:15

@graceinc22 I am so sorry, even more devastating when you have had that reassurance that everything is well. Mine also began I'm August (19th was day 1) and the bleeding stopped on the 8th this month... and my period just started today so hopefully that is helpful that yours won't be long coming. x

@tife1234 I'm really very sorry to read this, I hope this is your cycle and you don't have long to wait. xx

@moosey89 I'm sorry 😞

I also had a miscarriage in December and read so much about being fertile the first 3 months after, it took until the 5th cycle to get my bfp (this last pregnancy) and it felt like the longest time ever so I know what you mean. x

@SnookyPook aw I'm so sorry, how gutting for you having that happen immediatley after the last one. Hope third time is the charm for you! This is dc3 that I am trying for.
Are you tracking or anything to check for ovulation? x

Hey , joining these trend Cycle 2 trying after an infant loss

graceinc22 · 19/09/2023 14:51

Hey, joining this thread. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks 6 days in August. Really upsetting, especially as the baby was still alive (with a heartbeat) at 11 weeks 2 days.

Have now stopped bleeding and have a negative pregnancy test. Still not quite sure what’s happening with me hormonally as things feel a bit all over the place. Really hoping I’m able to get pregnant again, ideally quite soon, as it was a bit of a journey to get pregnant the first time round (I have PCOS). Lots of best wishes to you all!! X

SnookyPook · 19/09/2023 10:33

Hello - so sorry for your loss. I had a MMC in April and been TTC again since my first period which was May. Just caught on my 4th cycle after the loss but unfortunately it was a chemical which I lost 5 days after my BFP 😌 So... back to square 1 again. Counting my bleed as a period I'd be about CD8 now and hopefully coming up to fertile week - hoping the CP hasn't messed ovulation up.

TTC no.2. I have a wonderful DS who is 2 1/2.

Good luck to everyone for our rainbow babies 🌈🤞🏻💕

moosey89 · 19/09/2023 10:21

Welcome! Sorry you've had to join the shitty club of TTC after loss. I'm into my second cycle trying again since MMC at 10 weeks in July.

I'd love to take the relaxed approach but unfortunately because we have to do home artificial insemination I have to track properly 🙄 not feeling massively hopeful this month, I was really upset when I wasn't one of the lucky ones who gets pregnant the first month trying after loss, even though I know I shouldn't have expected it!

Ladyinpink1 · 19/09/2023 10:10

Sorry for your loss too @Anotheranxiousone it's a really horrible and sad situation isnt it. what baby number are you ttc?

I was thinking of not tracking too as it's meant to be better to be relaxed about it but decided I will at least for a cycle or 2 to see if my rough ovulation date has changed. x

Hi! I’m in similar position, had a loss a few weeks ago and will be TTC but trying not to put pressure on/letting things happen without tracking etc. sorry for your loss x
