Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@Oxalis00 That's really helpful information thank you! I did look up endometriosis and don't have many other symptoms of it but still a chance I guess, the RT scares me a bit! If you don't mind me asking, how do they check for it and if they find some what do they do for it?

Used to hardly have any pain before, maybe an hour or 2 at the start of AF and then nothing for the next 3 days and now it's as if I can feel every single little thing going on in there!

Oxalis00 · 12/10/2023 08:14

@Wise0wl How are you getting on? Did your period show up after the spotting a few days ago? I totally relate to getting super invested in a particular cycle and building up loads of expectation. I’ve got the timeline in my head for conceiving this month, due date x, mat leave till x…not helpful but very human!

Oxalis00 · 12/10/2023 08:10

@wyto I second seeing a GP just in case - they should absolutely take you seriously, a MC is a significant event both physically and emotionally. NHS app even categories it as such! With the abdomen sensations you’re describing I’d be querying the possibility of infection (endometritis) and/or retained products after the medical management. (I was still ovulating whilst having RP.) It may well just be hormonal re-adjustment but if you don’t feel right you get to say so. You know your body. And they should listen to and work with that knowledge.

Oxalis00 · 12/10/2023 08:06

I haven’t been temping for long @Ladyinpink1 so I don’t have much experience/knowledge but I’d say there’s a very clear rise post-ov and you’re still above the cover line - probably one of those frustrating situations where you just have to wait and keep testing! I really don’t think you need to worry about anything at this stage. (Easier said than done I know…)

I’m wondering whether to keep temping in TWW or just wait for period. Not sure the half-knowledge/incitement to worry helps me!

Ladyinpink1 · 12/10/2023 07:46

Thank you for your comments about the rise @graceinc22 I do at times get a jagged line going down for a day but not normally for 3 days in a row. I will Google "estrogen surge" and do some more obsessing instead of getting ready for work lol.

How are you getting on now? Any closer to figuring out where you are in your cycle? xx

graceinc22 · 12/10/2023 07:37

@Ladyinpink1 hey. I’ve had my temp drop mid luteal phase and then come back up again. I think can be hormonal (I think linked to estrogen surge?). May well be that your temp comes back up again - does look like you had a clear shift up following ewcm and a positive opk x

Ladyinpink1 · 12/10/2023 07:31

Any BBT ers... has your temp started going down this early before? Mine normally stays up until just before my period, Google said it could signify an anovulatory cycle x

@wyto sorry you feel that way, do you normally get the lower back pain before af? x

RubyCat06 · 11/10/2023 19:29

@SnookyPook massive congratulations, that is just wonderful 🩷

wyto · 11/10/2023 14:29

Congratulations @SnookyPook Such good news and keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

I'm CD23 and don't think it's happened, getting cramping and back ache, I never used to get painful periods before the MC.

Thanks for your reassurance about the gp @RubyCat06 I'm definitely going to go as I just don't feel myself, constantly bloated and feeling lower abdomen pain.

Ladyinpink1 · 11/10/2023 13:28

Oh my goodness, what an amazing line @SnookyPook congratulations 🎉🎊❤️ so nice to have good news on this thread! x

@RubyCat06 Yes I am the same cd as you 🙂 and I feel the same, we didn't dtd enough this cycle and plus after my last miscarriage it took 5 months to conceive again so I can't imagine this being "the cycle" x

Hi @GemRose sorry you haven't been feeling well, hope you are feeling better soon. I am 6dpo today so quite similar... I always early test but going to try not to this time (ha ha who am I kidding) x

@graceinc22 @Oxalis00 ah thank you! Yes I think I will probably book a scan for 8weeks (my MMC was 7+5...) if I get that far 🤞🏻🤞🏻 May see if EPAU will be kind and consider one although my area seem to be sticklers for the '3 losses before we do anything' so not sure if I'll have any luck! However, a bit of good luck this morning, I'd already got bloods booked to check prolactin/thyroid etc and I asked the nurse if she could throw HCG in as well and she did! So whatever happens, at least this will be documented and worst case scenario, this would be no.3 so at least I'd qualify for more help then.

However... I'm cautiously optimistic. Want to try and celebrate this as I would have pre-losses. 🤞🏻🌈

Oxalis00 · 11/10/2023 10:16

Ahhhhh @SnookyPook this is AMAZING news!! So pleased and excited for you! That is a phenomenal line 👌🏼 Will you have an early scan or anything? I can only imagine how long the time till dating scan must feel right now. Congratulations and please stick around to bring us hope!

graceinc22 · 11/10/2023 08:50

@SnookyPook congratulations!!!!! Amazing news ❤️❤️❤️

SnookyPook · 11/10/2023 08:29

Morning everyone... bit of hopefully good news for the thread... 14dpo... well, this just goes to show you are truly never out until AF (doesn't) appear... really didn't think this was my month and have literally been expecting AF every time I've been to the toilet the last couple of days with the cramps etc.

We also only DTD twice this fertile week. One the night before peak opk and one the night after.

I'm feeling extremely cautious after the year I've had but 🤞🏻 This line is also stronger than my CP last cycle ever got....

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been quiet! We’ve all got flu or covid or something nasty!
Hope everyone is doing well 😊 I’m 5dpo today (or 4dpo, I ovulate at night so never know whether to count day one as the next day?!). Don’t feel any different than usual yet but obviously still very early. Got sore boobs but I always have them straight after ovulation regardless of pregnancy or not.
Is anyone testing yet? If not when will you? I usually start day 8 or 9 haha.
Baby dust xx

RubyCat06 · 10/10/2023 16:23

@Ladyinpink1 oh you didn’t at all 🥰 I don’t know exactly when I ovulate as I’ve haven’t tracked that this month, mid cycle ish made sure we covered every couple of days. I agree it gets exhausting although my husband does not mind 😬 I think we are the same stage of our cycle, I’m on day 21. For some reason I just don’t think it’s going to happen this month, just a feeling.
@Haylsttc with my daughter a few years ago I used the cheapest possible strips off eBay after a few unsuccessful months of trying. It did work, I was ovulating day 16-18 so a little later than I thought. The cheap ones worked fine x

Ladyinpink1 · 10/10/2023 11:50

@RubyCat06 no no, not at all, and i'm sorry, I hope my reply didn't sound rude, i typed it fast just before I got up🙂 and I am the same as you we only dtd the days before this cycle and then I ovulated later than I thought but I think by that stage we were too worn out to be doing the days after too 😅 definitely I have read when you have fertile cm before ovulation is the best time.
And I obsess terribly, I think you feel the need to be doing something don't you x

Thanks ladies ❤️ Trying to stay positive and hope October is the month 🤞

@RubyCat06 I too wouldn’t know where to start with the bbt charting, I wish I had the commitment to do it though! I tried natural cycles before we started ttc but I kept forgetting to take my temperature at the right time 🙈

@Oxalis00 interesting you mentioned taking a new prenatal might have delayed ovulation for you! This happened to me a couple of cycles ago, I bought a new prenatal and my ovulation was delayed to cycle day 20 when normally it’s around day 15 or 16! So I stopped talking it and went back to the vitamins I was actually using when we conceived.

Decided I’m going to start tracking again this cycle using ovulation strips! Which brand do you guys recommend? I have some easy at home left from a couple of cycles ago but need to buy some more! I also have the clear blue ovulation test kit too but like to do strips alongside that when I’m tracking

RubyCat06 · 10/10/2023 09:20

@Ladyinpink1 im so sorry I must have missed that 🙈 was thinking I may have missed my chance this month as only managed a few days around mid cycle.
@Oxalis00 thats so interesting! I’m so sorry your miscarriage was so complicated. It’s so hard and I’m really sorry. I’ll keep watching your charts, I feel I would become obsessive. I try and say im staying chill but I’m reality I am not at all 🫣

Oxalis00 · 10/10/2023 07:58

@RubyCat06 Personally I find it helpful to have as much information as I can about what’s going on in my body, as my MC was quite complicated and the uncertainty was hard. But…it can become obsessive, it can create worries unnecessarily if you have an odd reading or miss a test, and it probably doesn’t help with the ‘just relax!’ vibe for TTC 🤦🏻‍♀️ Everyone’s different I guess, and what works at one point doesn’t always suit… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ladyinpink1 · 10/10/2023 06:07

Hi @RubyCat06 Yes I totally agree with you, you must of missed my previous comment ... I think dtd days leading up to ovulation is most important so the swimmers are waiting for the egg too 👍 🙂.

I had just posted that screenshot to show ovulation can happen a little later after opk to help account for @Oxalis00 's delay in temperature rise

How are you getting on? x

@Ladyinpink1 thats a really interesting post. I was of the understanding that it was most important to have sex in the few days before ovulation. It all blows my mind.
@Oxalis00 your chart is amazing, I wouldn’t know where to start. Do you find it helps to pinpoint things?
@Haylsttc make sure you have lots of chocolate and put your feet up 😘

Ladyinpink1 · 09/10/2023 22:27

I seen it here ⬇️ but then after reading your reply I checked another site and it said 36 hours so... 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for your thoughts @Ladyinpink1. Red line is ovulation test, yes - the app looks at the test and calculates the strength of test line as a ratio to control line. I didn’t realise ov was up to 48 hours after LH peak, I thought it was 12-24. Interesting! We’ll see what temp does tomorrow then…
