Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

CD13 here too but OPKs are loooooooow so not sure what’s going on - usually it’s up by now. Annoying as DH is away several nights next week so could do with a nice prompt ovulation please!

ThelastRolo20 · 25/11/2023 09:09

@Ladyinpink1 it finally stopped yesterday so hoping that's it. Cycle day 12 but basically blank OPKs but realistically not expecting anything until next week. Honestly this is the world's slowest cycle, feels like it's lasting for ever 😞

Ladyinpink1 · 25/11/2023 09:02

@ThelastRolo20 sorry AF is still about. What about today, is it still there? Yes as you said, by the time you ovulate it should be away and as have nice fertile cm instead 🙂

I got my peak opk this morning (cd13). The easy at home tests showed it clearly so I will buy them again, hopefully tomorrow will be ovulation day. x

@Ladyinpink1 I'm cycle day 11 too but my period is unfortunately still on the go after a day's break. It's very light and looks like darker/ older blood so hoping it doesn't stay long but it's making me worry it'll throw off my cycle 😞 I don't normally ovulate until CD15 so hoping that's enough time for my body to sort itself out

Ladyinpink1 · 23/11/2023 22:03

Thank you @Vic231 I will keep checking for them coming back in x

@SunSparkle Great that all is good and no major issues, sorry that you have to wait, that is frustrating. Hopefully it won't be for too long x

The nausea is horrible but I think it's a good sign to have it, hope all goes well on Sunday, I'm sure it can't come round fast enough! @Bali200 x

@Haylsttc I am just using the cheap test straps but no positive yet, cd11 today. What cd are you again? I feel like this cycle has went a little slower so far, hoping to get my peak within the next few days x

@graceinc22 Yes I get a yellow tinge sometimes in my cycle... I assumed it might be from different supplements, like I take a b complex and sorry tmi but it makes your wee bright yellow lol so I thought maybe it could do the same to the cm. x

graceinc22 · 23/11/2023 20:03

Everyone - today (at, I think, 5dpo) I had lots of cm - some creamy, and some yellow but stretchy (sort of like snot like ewcm!) has anyone has yellow stretchy cm before - never had it!

Haylsttc · 23/11/2023 19:39

@Ladyinpink1 that’s good to know about the SMEP! I got another flashing smiley face today, based off this I’m guessing peak will be Saturday for me which would be good timing so fingers crossed 🤞 😂 Any sign of peak for you yet?

@CluelessInLondon @Vic231 thanks for the heads up about the first response. I used them for my last pregnancy and got a positive before my missed period! So I’ll order some more now they’re back 😊 I do have a pack of boots one in my cupboard too as they’re quite a good dupe for them!

@SunSparkle that sounds mainly positive, I’ve heard of people taking specific vitamins to try help with AMH levels so might be worth researching those to add into your supplements 🫶 Don’t stress too much about the 8 pounds you could probably lose it quite quickly with a calorie deficit 😊

Bali200 · 23/11/2023 19:34

Sending lots of positive vibes to those approaching ovulation, hope you have lots of energy ready for SMEP 💪🏼, and to those already in the tww, I feel really positive that we’ll see some more BFP’s in the next couple of weeks 🤞🏼

I used the boots early tests and can also recommend these.

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well @Aaliyahrae, I’m also struggling with the nausea so you’re not alone. I’m having a private scan on Sunday when I will be 7+3 if going off lmp or 7 wks if going off actual conception date. Feeling very nervous x

SunSparkle · 23/11/2023 17:07

So... I had my fertility appointment today. Some good news, some bad news.

My AMH levels are lower end of normal for my age so my egg reserve is a bit low.

My womb is fine - no signs of anything going wrong there or on my ovaries.

Partners sperm is fine.

But, while she would be happy to prescribe letrozole, but only if I lose 8 pounds. and she wants to see my progesterone tests that the GP has ordered as well.

So tips on losing 8 pounds really quickly please!!

Also it will be privately funded so I need to see what a guided cycle of letrozole would be and if we can afford it. She did say that some people get it on the NHS but the wait time would be considerable and it's dependent on each PCT.

so...good to know that no PCOS or anything like that, but I'm annoyed my weight is holding us back.

Vic231 · 23/11/2023 14:43

@Ladyinpink1 @CluelessInLondon these are the ones I got a few weeks ago - albeit they were £9.99 back then! First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, 2 Count (Pack of 1) amzn.eu/d/dhDGRHv

Ladyinpink1 · 23/11/2023 14:26

@CluelessInLondon I am always worried about starting a new brand incase of false positives so am glad for a recommendation, I will definitely buy some, thank you 😊 x

OP posts:
CluelessInLondon · 23/11/2023 13:55

@Ladyinpink1 I ordered some in my last pregnancy but they must have been the end of a batch as they had a really short expiry date on them so I couldn't use them all before they expired! So annoying as you obviously can't look at the date when you're buying online.

The Boots early tests seem to be quite popular at the moment as an alternative to FRERs. I haven't bought any yet as I know if I have tests in the house I'll use them when I said I wouldn't, so I'm not buying anything until the beginning of next week!

Ladyinpink1 · 23/11/2023 13:47

That's great, thank you @CluelessInLondon I have been looking for them, I have 1 test left from my last pregnancy but would like to have a few stocked up x

OP posts:
CluelessInLondon · 23/11/2023 13:43

@Ladyinpink1 I haven't actually looked for them myself, just saw a post on another TTC thread about them - will let you know if I spot them though!

Ladyinpink1 · 23/11/2023 13:41

@CluelessInLondon I just checked amazon, i can't find the normal first response, only the first response check 3 ways tests, if you find them could you post a link please x

OP posts:
CluelessInLondon · 23/11/2023 10:22

@Aaliyahrae Hope you are starting to feel better today. I'm 9DPO today, currently managing to steadfastly resist any temptation to test! AF due on Monday so no testing before then for me...

I saw on another thread that First Response tests are back in stock on Amazon so now might be the time to stock up if anybody needs any!

Ladyinpink1 · 23/11/2023 08:05

For all who we were chatting about using SMEP, I just had a notification on an old post from my last pregnancy and I read the last few comments, we had loosely used SMEP for that successful cycle which I hadn't remembered so now I feel positive for everyone and also a bit more determined to stick to it 🙂

@SunSparkle I'm sorry you are having cramps, I hope it's not AF. Your cycle lengthening is good though.
I use cheap tests, one step and another ebay brand and if I see any sign of a line then I buy dearer ones like first response (if they can be found they are like gold dust atm) x

That's good you have got a negative test now, hope you feel OK about it. Hope you get a clear positive opk soon! x

@Aaliyahrae as someone who’s had Hyperemesis with both my pregnancies, I’m here if you want to ask questions about medication.

so, I’m CD25, 9DPO. My cycles are anywhere between 23-25 days. Had a negative test yesterday and today and have been cramping so I do think my period might be coming just perhaps my cycle might be lengthening by a day. With short cycles, it took me being about a week late last time to get a positive result because I think it needs that many days past ovulation to turn positive

what pregnancy test strips does everyone use?

Yeah I know the feeling about cycle being everywhere. I finally got the negative PT so been trying to DTD and my OPK readings are a bit all over the place so a bit hard for me to pin point when ovulation will be.

i prefer to use Easy@home strips. I find the readings pretty on point for me. The Clear blue kits I found pretty unreliable. I purchased 2 boxes and didn’t get a signal positive, not sure if it was me or maybe I got a damaged kit.

@Aaliyahrae Sorry you have been feeling so rough. I hope the tablets have an effect soon! x

Thanks @CluelessInLondon and @graceinc22. Not with my DD or my miscarriage but with my DS I was so poorly but it was a different type of sick. Really trying hard to be grateful because this was so wanted after my miscarriage but I feel so unwell.

How are you both feeling? Where are you in your cycles?xx

graceinc22 · 22/11/2023 20:07

@Aaliyahrae so sorry to hear about how sick you are. Have you had this before? Sounds awful. Hopefully the meds will work x

CluelessInLondon · 22/11/2023 18:24

@Aaliyahrae Oh no, sorry to hear you are feeling so rough - keeping fingers crossed for you that it improves with the medication.

Also thinking positive thoughts for lots of BFPs in the next few weeks!

Aaliyahrae · 22/11/2023 17:44

Good luck to you all trying new methods this month! I keep checking to see how you all are. Fingers crossed for you all. I’ll check back in in a couple of weeks to see how you’re all getting on.

I’m really poorly at the moment. The morning sickness is absolutely awful I can’t even drink water and all foods make the nausea worse. Been given some pills by the GP before I need to be sent to hospital. Taken two and they’re still not working but fingers crossed they start to work soon.

Gem0302 · 22/11/2023 15:16

Loving the positivity today, lots of BFPs incoming this month 🤞🏼.

2dpo today, had a rise on bbt yesterday so confident ovulation was Monday. Currently on antibiotics and the gp tells me they shouldn’t affect ttc but I still worry there’s a lot of stress on my body at the moment.
