To be fair, most of the whiskey wasn't drunk this week (think he opened it valentines night) about half of the cans were from last week (didn't seem worth another trip to the recycling bank for a few cans), but you are more than welcome to come round today, as long as you being a feather duster, just dropped mine in a bucket full of water which was ready to mop the floor, now how am I going to reach the curtain poles/ceilings?

So Party, today at mine, bring a duster OK?

Yeah or Saturday. I am going to test tomorrow. Im going crazy already.

MoosMa · 06/03/2008 11:35

Kay, is AF due tomorrow? I've lost count! You're testing tommorrow anyway aren't you?

kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 11:28

I felt pregnant with ds. I just dont now.

Speaking of Pox, my niece has got it and its ds's christening in 11 days. We've been told she shouldn't be contagious by then.

calsworld · 06/03/2008 11:28

NJ - that's an amazing amount of alcohol! Can I come to your house, it sounds like fun!!

NatalieJane · 06/03/2008 11:25

LG&T how's the Pox thing going? All gone now?

Kay, I was still saying 'I don't feel pregnant' after two BFP's with DS2

So I have just sorted out the recycling, for the week, 1 bottle of bailies, 1 bottle of grants whiskey, 7 bottles of wine, 18 cans of stella, 6 cans of boddingtons, and 2 bottles of Newcastle brown Do you think we drink too much?! At least I can blame the whiskey, boddies, newky brown and most of the stella on DH

On with the housework.... before you all tell me to fuck off LOL

OP posts:
kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 10:55

Hi LG&T, I felt ok this morning but feel a bit queasy now. I now think I'm not pg, dunno why I just dont feel pg

kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 10:52

She is quite demanding.
Ds cant walk yet, but he can stand up if he has hold of something and he kinda walks around his cot and playpen while holding on and she think that is late, despite my books saying most babies walk alone after they turn 1!

largeginandtonic · 06/03/2008 10:52

15 mths is not late to walk, they all do it at different times. Mine have all been between about 12 months but 15 months before they are ready for shoes. I have lots of friends with babies and some dont walk till 18 months. Nothing unusual really. Incidentally children that bum shuffle instead of crawl walk later. Beau crawls and bum shuffles so will be interesting to see what he does.

Natlie hope that G is ok, the nose bleeds dont sound nice poor fellow. Glad you are seeing the GP, it is surprising how much blood they can lose through a nose bleed. Hugo has them occasionally too.

Kay how are the symptoms? Nearly Friday!

How are you all?

Diege · 06/03/2008 10:48

Moos, we had single words until dd3 was two, so I really wouldn't be concerned

NatalieJane · 06/03/2008 10:48

Glad you have a plan Cal It is worrying when you can't be with them, (even when they are well in my case , me? Over protective? Never..... )

Right I really must make a start on the house work.... if I come back in less than an hour, tell me to f off please

xxx

Kay at your ds being behind at 11 months - as per my post, my DS says no real words! everything is 'da', he just uses different intonations and from all other things I've read today, he's not behind at 15 months!

Perhaps your HV is a little demanding!

Diege · 06/03/2008 10:47

. I was like that when I met Mick off Brookside . And then started talking at great speed about absolute rubbish
Right, off for tour of dd1's new school for September

MoosMa · 06/03/2008 10:47

DD2 is 12.5 months and can say ahhhhhhhh when she cuddles - that's it! I'm not going to worry though, I think she's fine and she certainly understands nearly everything I say, expecially if it's 'milk' or 'biscuit'

kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 10:43

Diege, I could never be a crazy-stalker person. Dh would never let me.

I met Duran Duran(my fave band) once and couldn't even speak to them let alone be a crazy fan. I just stood there with my mouth open looking like a nutter.

kayzisbroody · 06/03/2008 10:39

My HV said my ds is a bit behind with his talking. He is 11 months old and he cant say proper words really apart from Dad, Mum, Dog, No, Hiya and Murph(name of my mums dog)

calsworld · 06/03/2008 10:38

NJ that is very good plan and exactly what I will do.

Diege · 06/03/2008 10:37

Calm yourself Kay!!. Just to help with your Cieran fest, he laughed very nervously about the babygrow request and muttered about paternity claims etc . So there you go, I think that counts as sleeping with him . I just laughed and said, 'oh don't worry, she's not the crazy-stalker type, just a big fan' .
CAL: NEVER ring nursery...cardinal rule!!! You onloy end up feeling guilty, and think they sometimes lay it on a bit thick for their own sakes sometimes. Whenever I've rushed there after a call saying dd doesn't seem herself, she's always been laughing and smiling before she's even seen me arrive. Seriously though, you do need to get better. Fingers crossed for the GPs!
Re: walking/talking stage, I was told that the average for walking is 15 months. They refer at 22 months here. Wait til you're on no.3! DD3 walked at 12 months, but is only now stringing a few words together (she's 2.4). They sat it can be because with later siblings, they simply don;t feel the need to form words so much because the others speak for them (plus maybe not as much reading to..certainly the case in this house!!).
Will be dipping in and out today (stop it!) so will try and keep up the best I can

calsworld · 06/03/2008 10:37

MoosMa, I think I've been very naive about your list...

when you said about favours I thought you were planning a wedding...have just worked out that its not what you meant at all!

well, i may be an idiot but its cheered me up a bit!

NatalieJane · 06/03/2008 10:37

Cal, you are not a bad mum! If you were, you wouldn't be so upset and worried now would you?! Let him have his sleep, maybe ring back just after lunch see if he is any better?

Moosma, Spoilsport!!!

OP posts:
calsworld · 06/03/2008 10:35

Now I've written and read it again, I'm wrong, I don't feel like a bad mum.

He'll be fine, I'm being silly coz I'm run down.

Ignore me. I think I'm being hormonal and oversensitive at the moment - even without AF!

Thanks for reassurances. V kind of you all.

x

MoosMa · 06/03/2008 10:34

I agree, 15 months is late rather than early, but not Late ennough to worry about. My DDs walked at 14 and 12 months, DD1 didn't say much until about 18 months and DD2 hasn't said a word yet.

I'm not telling you what's on DH's our list! Most of it's normal stuff that we just haven't done much of for a while, but there are a couple of things that I won't be sharing!

Playingthewaitinggame · 06/03/2008 10:33

I am sorry to her that your DS in unwell. If he's ok then maybe leave him at nuresery as you are so unwell yourself? He would be grumpy and tearful if he was at home with you as well because he is poorly.

calsworld · 06/03/2008 10:32

I'm sure he'll be fine, I said on the phone that he'll only be grumpy if he's tired or hungry and asked what he'd eaten.

He had a milk bottle at about 6.30 this morning, which is unusual but he asked for it, nursery have given him weetabix and toast and ate all of it, and he had a biscuit and some banana at about 9.30. Its lunchtime in about 45 mins.

She said he might be tired, is it ok to put him to bed?

I've told the nursery manager, and his key worker (who is also head of baby unit) that he's to have naps on demand. We had previously been trying to get him down to one nap a day but it just isn't working - particularly since he's been walking. So I confirmed again yesterday to let him sleep whenever he needed it.

Hopefully they'll put him to bed and he'll feel a bit happier afterwards.

I feel like such a bad mum.

Playingthewaitinggame · 06/03/2008 10:31

Morning all,

Sorry to hear you are still poorly Cal. I wouldn't worry if your bloods come back normal, gladular fever doesn't always get picked up and sometimes "just a virus" can last for weeks and make you feel rotten.

I am surprised about the nursery's reaction though, surely they could have worked out he was still feeling a bit poorley.

Oh and I am sure there is nothing to worry about on the language fron, children learn to speak at different rates. Does he understand what you say to him, because that means he is learning language too? I think if he is not saying any true words at all my 18mnths then it is worth going to the doctor but before then there is nothing to worry about. Its a long time since I studied who children learn to speak so dont quote me on that!
