Hello!!! Back from the school run, though had a bit of a run-in with a motorist which has made me very . Idiot stopped on the crossing on green, and the traffic was so busy we couldn't get round the sides (not ideal anyway with 3 los). So of course I was in the wrong for daring to want to cross a pedestrian crossing on green and got a load of abuse from him when I dared to question him being there!! Arghhh, what is it with men and their little metal boxes!!!
Good thread Cals btw . Will be interesting to see if anyone beats 6 weeks . My longest before bfp is 11 days, though that was the chemical pregnancy. tested 4/5 days with others

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 15:46

Done

6 weeks..... gorden bennit, I'd be climbing the walls (and sending DH up them) by then!

LOL NJ!

Thanks everyone - I feel like I have friends.

Have just started a new thread in 'chat', i've never started a thread before so bit nervous that no-one will respond...

NJ - you have to go on for me coz I know yours is 9 now!

I think this is the link

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 15:29

Blimey Cal, you can chat!! LOL

OK, first things first, your poor little DS It does make a bit of sense what your HV said. Do you think he'd be happier in with the toddlers?

And it is very very very rare DS2 will come for a cuddle, DS1 (as a baby) loved cuddles, DS2 would rather smack you round the head with his shoe.... but he did sit for quite a while, his cold is having a bad day today, think he is feeling effects.

I have thought now and then about printing it, but I've never got round to doing it. I did really want to print out the labour threads, but well, the forest didn't have enough trees to make enough paper!!! I think a lot of them dissapeared because when other people started a new one as the old one's got full up, they were in Chat, rather than Child Birth. Actually dissapearance is probably the best I could have hoped for!!

The MW used a test cassette when she did my 'just to make sure' test What on earth did she think? That I had a beach ball stuffed up my top? I didn't know that was what they were called though...!

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 15:22

Cal, sorry I dont know.

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 15:21

Cal - I think that makes sense. Your poor little one getting himself worked up like that

I feel much better now. My super Mum old school friend isn't a super mum as it turns out!!!! All the photos all over her profile of her and her DP with LO's were actually her neices. I just assumed they were her dc's as every pic in her profile was off them. I really am sad I know, I know I shouldn't care but I feel a little more comforted for some odd reason! I must be a bad person

calsworld · 07/03/2008 15:17

Have had a reply from the website:

Thank you for contacting Access Diagnostics

The product is made by the same manufacturer and contains the same test membrane (same accuracy)

Only the test proceedure varies, each is packed with a small pipette to add urine to a test well on the cassette. results show just as on the midstream.

LOL LOL LOL at me with a pipette dropping wee onto a plastic tray !

calsworld · 07/03/2008 15:15

where have you all gone.......

calsworld · 07/03/2008 15:01

oh crap.

I've ordered test cassettes (what are these?) instead of the normal in-stream ones.

what have i done?

calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:53

NJ - sorry, like I say, brain ALL over the place it is a lovely thread - meant to ask if you had thought about printing it (can't remember if there were any rude bits) but might be nice for DS2 to look through when he's older?

DS2 is on your lap? Mine would be thumping the keyboard and bored within two secs...needs to go and fiddle with things all the time!

When he wakes up, I think I'm going to take him round to the swings to give him some fresh air.

calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:51

don't know why I didn't just look it up like that last time... Brains all over the place at the moment.

After DS was sick last night, its been puzzling me, coz he was sick on Fri, Mon and Thurs...which didn't seem to ring true for a tummy bug. He was begging me to give him milk this morning but I didn't want to upset his tummy...but had this niggle that something else was wrong.

I rang my HV, who is Wonderful. She had been doing some research for me because a while ago, James had been coming home and hitting me, so it was a good chance to catch up.

I talked through his recent poorliness and she said it tied in with what she'd found out...he's frustrated and upset by something that happens at nursery during the day, and then comes home and 'tells' me by hitting me. We have a particularly good communication between us which is has been observed by the HV on many occasions which is why she feels it is about him telling me something rather than just being stroppy. He'd always been a very placid baby.

With the recent sickness, she feels that this too, is being caused by stress. I just found out this afternoon that his little friend who he played with all the time left nursery nearly two weeks ago. I think this may be why he's so stressed that he's throwing up. I've also noticed that he's absolutely exhausted alot of the time that he's home and this is contributing. My poor little boy. I need to try and find a way to make him happier and I wonder if going down to toddlers might actually help him? Hmmm.

Sorry for long post rant....just nice to get it off my chest and you lot are so good at letting it all pass by...I'm not trying to hijack or anything...just to get it out of my head.

OK, as you were...

group therapy anyone?

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:47

Right time to get DS1, he is going to go spare when he finds I've written the invitations, but it took me best part of half an hour to write them, it would have taken him about 6 days..... I have left the envelopes for him to do, so I'm not all bad!

See you all later

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/03/2008 14:47

Awww Natalie, I was nearly in tears reading that thread, twas lovely.

calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:44

I thought 'in vitro' meant 'in glass'...

According to Wikipedia its latin for 'within the glass'..but refers to the technique of performing a given experiment in a controlled environment outside of a living organism; for example in a test tube

So, we're all right - in a way!

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:32

Strange to think he is sat here on my lap now, my little colourless dot

LOL at fanjo comment

OP posts:
Diege · 07/03/2008 14:32

yes, in vitro means 'outside the body' (like IVF, in vitro fertilisation).God I'm such a nerd!

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:30

Yes that's the site, they arrived the next day for Kay I think

OP posts:
Diege · 07/03/2008 14:29

Awww, what a lovely thread. Nearely had me welling up there too
Right, off to do school run back later
Oh and Cals, think 'in vitro use only' just means don't stick it up your fanjo

calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:29

Found the site (I think) that was referred to on the other thread - www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk and have purchased some of their ultra tests, that go from 10whatnots instead of the tesco/cbd that test from 25.

SHould be here either tomorrow or monday...

(Come on shipment dept at accessdiags....put them in the post!)

Off to read link NJ...

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:25

And as for not feeling pregnant, read this (scroll down to the post at 20:39:03 and 21:16:13 and 21:17:14 etc. etc. etc.

Awww, nearly made me cry finding that thread.... what a sad sack I am!

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:21

I think you do ahve to do whatever the test says, some you have to pee on the stick, some you have to dip ( stop giggling at the back!!!) in the wee.

OP posts:
calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:19

Oh. I've just remembered something I meant to ask you all.

Does it make a difference to the outcome of the test if you wee on the stick instead of dipping it in a container of wee?

I have to confess to not reading the instructions fully on the tesco one I bought and it says, in bold, For In Vitro Use Only

The control section that shows the test worked seemed clear enough.

calsworld · 07/03/2008 14:16

But the big problem with it all, is I don't FEEL pregnant.

Am fairly sure that AF is going to turn up...at some point...

And don't want to look like a prat when it does.

NatalieJane · 07/03/2008 14:14

Cal, we know you are pregnant, the doc knows you are pregnant, you know you are pregnant, it is just the test acting like tossers

Well, it would make sense to me....

OP posts:
Diege · 07/03/2008 14:07

Yes, lack of appetite deffo one (for me anyway), just before when af would have been due
