@Tigger1116 you're the same dpo as me. I'm also having twinges on the sides and period type pain, night sweats but not going to the bathroom.

I'm terrible for symptom spotting! I'm only on third cycle trying for 2nd but finding it really hard this time and really trying not to get my hopes up.

When are you going to test?

Sleepysheepish · 12/10/2023 22:07

Looks like my period will be done either today or tomorrow, then I’ll start testing around CD10 with OPKs and Mira…….I usually ovulate between CD18 and CD35……so if it’s the first I’ll ovulate late October. Is there another thread for November? I need you guys to freak out with 😅😅

PS of course the only time in months DH tries to initiate BD I’m on my period 🫣🤪

Tigger1116 · 12/10/2023 20:53

I’m roughly 5dpo and I’ve been having twinges and period type pain constantly going to the bathroom and feeling hot all the time painful boobs I hope it’s looking positive

Confusedddddddd · 12/10/2023 18:27

Does everyone abstain from alcohol in the 2ww? I like a weekend glass of wine, and it's the main reason I end up testing early.

Confusedddddddd · 12/10/2023 18:26

@Lushfanatic123 I think that's the earliest you can implant. But it can be implantation and it can also be nothing.

Lushfanatic123 · 12/10/2023 17:41

Ttc baby number two, cycle 3.

Had a day of light spotting, like a light pink/orange colour which was roughly at 5/6dpo.

Is that too early to be considered as possible implantation bleeding?

ceruleansky · 12/10/2023 14:57

@hicketypickety
Oh my, that's a lot more serious then. I understand why they need to monitor the levels now.
You've been through a LOT and it's great to see your resilience. You can see this through to the end. It's going to happen. 💓 Do message me whenever you feel like talking! :)

Thank you!

hicketypickety · 12/10/2023 13:44

@ceruleansky thank you, I have periods of being very upset about it but seems to be "one of those things" they said they just need to know if you might be legitimately pregnant as otherwise rising HCG can mean the molar has reformed (in which case you can need chemotherapy) so they like to monitor to you to make sure it's low (and if it goes up and you've told them you could be pregnant then you have to have lots of scans etc).

I hope you get the news you are hoping for tomorrow x

dg3131 · 12/10/2023 12:47

Does anybody else get a very heavy pressure type feeling in their lower abdomen around ovulation or implantation time? I'm not sure when / if I've ovulated this month. I'm on CD15 today and the heavy feeling is very much there. My opk stick I've just done is also darker today (had a peak of 0.7 on CD10 then have been getting lower) so will do another later to see. My cycles have kind of been on the shorter side since coming off the pill so I thought I would have already ovulated on the previous peak (although still a little low but everyone is different).

ceruleansky · 12/10/2023 12:31

@hicketypickety
I had to look that up. I'm so sorry that happened to you. How will it affect you if you get pregnant and your hCG level goes up?
I totally understand, it seems like a waste of time to wait 6 months to try.

hicketypickety · 12/10/2023 12:08

@ceruleansky my cycles are usually between 32-35 days. My sample next week is to test for HCG following the molar pregnancy removed in April (they said I had to be monitored for six months from samples going back to <4 HCG after the surgery as they didn't reduce to the right level within 8 weeks). So I shouldn't even be trying yet technically BUT as it took six months to conceive following the first miscarriage last year (even tho it didn't end well) I didn't want to lose that six months on the off chance if you see what I mean Smile

ceruleansky · 12/10/2023 10:53

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
I always had a confusion about this. I'm supposed to take it day 2-6 too.
I read that if you get the period by noon on a given day it counts as day 1. I got it in the middle of the day this time. I wonder if I should have counted the next day as day 1. Last time I got it at night so I took the next day as day 1.
Maybe I was wrong this time..
If I calculate it this way, I'm cd-1. Maybe everything is one day off.
If you can't tell, I'm spiraling.🤣

bumptobean · 12/10/2023 10:00

@wanderlustre that’s the exact word to describe it: consuming!

It’s on my mind 24/7 now but my hope has gone and now it’s just depressing for me. I feel the same as you too, almost like the time is starting to run out and I’m worried we are just hurting ourselves every month but also really scared at us taking a break! I’m getting quite upset about pregnancy announcements at the moment, they seem to be everywhere!!

The 2 kids dream isn’t silly either. We’re all on here because we all have a dream, a life we’ve planned out and we’re all just trying to make it happen. When we had our first mc it was really early on and I felt silly for being upset and grieving but I was grieving the life I had already dreamt for me and a little bean!

Your fertility appointment will give you some hope and a step forward which will be brilliant. Fingers crossed you can get some plans to go forward.

I’ve got 1 friend that was also struggling to conceive due to endo and had to go down the IVF route. She fell pregnant via IVF and a few months after her baby was born fell pregnant naturally and now has a lovely little girl and a beautiful boy! It’s really hard but we have to just keep going don’t we, until it’s our turn. 🤞🏻

MrsHousePlant · 12/10/2023 09:57

Hope you’re all okay. Sending lots of love to those who are having a hard month, I feel you! Took a few days away from here after AF arriving as I felt really down.

CD7 for me tomorrow and back to the routine of the CB ovulation tests. Here we go again…!

wanderlustre · 12/10/2023 09:11

@bumptobean It's really getting to me this month too. It feels all consuming. My DH keeps asking whether we should take a break but I'm 33 in December. My mam and her sister both went through menopause at around 38 so it feels like my window of opportunity may be pretty narrow. We've been trying since August 2021 and my cycles are pretty short (23-25 days) so we're on 18 failed cycles now. It seems like theres barely any time before AF hits and it starts all over again. I've always wanted 2 kids. I'm an only child and longed for sibling. Sounds daft to be thinking of 2 when we haven't managed the first but it plays on my mind and makes me feel like we have even less time to lose.

Everyone around me seems to be falling pregnant at the drop of a hat with minimal effort. My two best friends got pregnant their first month of trying (one has just announced #2 just as easily). They've never heard of OPKs. They weren't taking prenatals. They did none of the prep or work I've done. I'm doing everything I can, getting my body as ready as possible, and it's still not happening so it just makes me think "how bloody infertile am I?". We have a follow up with a fertility consultant scheduled for 31st Oct so I'm just focusing everything towards that (although I don't expect answers). We think he'll probably ask if we want an IVF referral and we'll just say yes at this point.

Wow. Sorry for that ramble 🙈

WishingUponARainbow · 12/10/2023 09:01

Well I hate hate hate to admit it but I think AF is coming. Did a test last night 12DPO which I thought had a hint of a vvvvfl but ultimately it was negative.
Was convinced this month would be the month. We'll see. 😓

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 12/10/2023 09:00

@ceruleansky 2-6 but actually my period started on Tuesday afternoon so I would count today as day 3 but my clinic call it day 2 because they only count your period as day 1 if you wake up bleeding. So I kind of think it’s actually 3-7 this cycle but the clinic would disagree…. Sorry, extremely long winded answer!! How about you?

ceruleansky · 12/10/2023 08:57

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine Are you taking clomid days 2-6 or 3-7?

ceruleansky · 12/10/2023 05:35

@hicketypickety
That's interesting. How long are your cycles usually? Is it always the same number of days?
Ah I see, what are you testing for specifically with that sample?

bumptobean · 11/10/2023 23:35

@ReginaPhalange12 it’s such a horrible feeling isn’t it!! Some months I manage to stay positive and carry on and then months like this one.. it’s just so hard to carry on with a smile.

ReginaPhalange12 · 11/10/2023 22:50

@bumptobean I really resonate with what you're saying, I feel defeated even before I get a BFN. I didn't think it would be this hard TTC. I'm not even itching to test because I'm so sure it'll be negative & can't stand the disappointment

KM8 · 11/10/2023 21:29

@MissSB18 wow! We can do this, we are TTC baby number 2 (my little girl is 2 nearly 3!) I fell pregnant within a month of trying first time round so each time I've come on I've felt a bit deflated but this is only month 4 so I know it may take a while yet.

I've had a cheeky glass of Prosecco tonight after hardly drinking since we've been trying!

I'm trying not to obsess over it all, ovulation testing, dates, and of course.....trying to have sex etc! Sending baby dust your way lovely!

MissSB18 · 11/10/2023 20:44

@WishingUponARainbow thank you!! That makes sense 😊 baby dust to you too lovely, really hoping we see some BFPs this month!!!

@KM8 exactly the same as me 🤣 we can get through this together 🤞💪 aww how are you feeling about it all? Is this your first? I'm TTC #2 this is my 10th cycle.. I was so lucky & caught on the pill with my son so I was expecting to not struggle but not so easy this time round it seems! X

KM8 · 11/10/2023 20:33

@MissSB18 mine are around 30 days? How long are your cycles? We've been TTC for 3 months

WishingUponARainbow · 11/10/2023 20:32

@MissSB18 hey! I would say if it's not 'full flow bleeding' just log spotting as a symptom and not a period day (if that makes sense!)
Baby dust to you ✨
