@bumptobean
yeah its difficult to not test isn’t it.
just want answers asap. And it’s easy to let it drive you mad. Stay strong

bumptobean · 16/10/2023 10:45

10dpo and another BFN.. if we do try next month I’m going to pledge here that I won’t be testing at all 😂

KLK94 · 16/10/2023 09:37

@dg3131
day 0
as it’s Days PAST ovulation
DPO
so counting each day past it

dg3131 · 16/10/2023 06:54

Does everyone count day of ovulation day as day 0 or day 1 when talking about DPO?

KLK94 · 16/10/2023 06:48

@Confusedddddddd
seems like the follow up appointment you can get some concerns off your chest

ceruleansky · 16/10/2023 06:02

@wanderlustre
I think doing a SA is always a good thing. We didn't expect DH to have any issues on his side since I've had pcos since I was a teenager. But he has low motility.
So if you've checked and there's nothing it's one less problem!
I agree, they are taking a lot of time and delaying the process for you..
I hope everything works out and if you go for ivf I hope the journey is seamless compared to the experience you've had so far. It must be so frustrating to be dragged along like this.

Confusedddddddd · 15/10/2023 23:46

@KLK94 nope cycle has always been very regular. I always ovulate cd15/16, and confirmed with opks, bbt and ovulation pains. Until the last 3 cycles I always had an 11 day LP.

I haven't been on contraception for about 15 years ! I did have an ectopic pregnancy in July where I lost a tube, so my luteal phases might be irregular from that. I have a follow up from my op soon so will be able ask the gynae consultant, but I doubt it. My cycles remained regular after giving birth to dc as well.

KLK94 · 15/10/2023 23:38

That’s odd, seems like your cycle is a bit all over the place. Are you checking your ovulation with sticks? When you have different cycle lengths your ovulation will be hard to predict.
you say 3rd cycle of trying, is that since coming off female contraception?

Confusedddddddd · 15/10/2023 23:35

Fairy sure I'm out already. 7/8 dpo and already feeling like AF is about to make an appearance. AF came at 9dpo last month which was just cruel. Month before that it was 12/13 dpo but I'd had weird very very faint lines around this time so I don't know if it was a very early chemical or something strange happened with implantation and that's why AF started late.

I'm only 3 cycles in and already feeling depressed by it all.

KLK94 · 15/10/2023 23:32

Hey,
just joining on, I forgot these forums existed from when I was trying for my first, 8 years ago.
so I have 1 DD, she is 5, it took 2 and a half years of TTC before it happened naturally, any longer and I was going to seek help.
since then I have still not been on contraception, and not ttc but not avoiding it either and had not even an incling of an ‘accident’ so I don’t hold much hope of trying this time round.
this is month 3 of tracking my ovulation and doing the tango like rabbits (within reason)
today I am 7dpo and due AF in 8 days 🙏

WishingUponARainbow · 15/10/2023 23:20

Well AF arrived today 💔 I really thought this month would be the month so it's a tough day today.

I hope there are lots of BFPs coming on this thread and for those of you that are out this month, I'm so sorry and I hope you get your BFPs soon! I'll probably start posting on the November TTC thread soon so I'm sure I'll see some familiar names in there!
Baby dust to all ✨

ReginaPhalange12 · 15/10/2023 23:03

Thank you @MrsHousePlant @wanderlustre and @ceruleansky I think we've possibly been BD more before my peak than after so I think we'll try a different tactic this time & hope for the best.

Good luck to everyone in the TWW, I really hope this is your month 🤞🏽

ceruleansky · 15/10/2023 19:18

@ReginaPhalange12
My Dr advises to dtd for 2 days after you've ovulated and every other day before ovulation during the fertile window. We end up dtd 8 days in a row with maybe one day off in between since we don't want to miss it lol.

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 18:26

@ReginaPhalange12 Our nurse at our initial assessment said every other day is as effective as every day. She recommended 2-3 times leading up to the day of your peak/up to one day after.

@KM8 I currently take a sachet of Proceive Max a day, one Omega 3 tablet and I take one 300mg CoQ10 twice a day. All of this is off my own research though. Haven't been told to take anything by GP/clinic yet.

MrsHousePlant · 15/10/2023 18:06

@ReginaPhalange12 ahh so sorry. Even when you know it’s coming it’s not fun.

We’ll BD every other day until I get a static then try for 3 days in a row this month I think. I think we’ve maybe been going for it too much too soon? I’m no expert as this is our 4th cycle trying and I’ve never been pregnant before. Just hoping for the best. Back to exercising, taking some supplements and BD when we can without it being too much!

KM8 · 15/10/2023 16:39

Thanks @wanderlustre @TTCNumberTwo23 I will probably do both morning and late afternoon as I'm using clearblue but they're so expensive so will try to figure a pattern 😂😂so I don't waste any!

Has anyone tried the Seven Seas Trying for a Baby supplements? I already take 5mg Folic Acid which is a high dose from my GP daily due to my body not absorbing enough. But wondered if anyone else takes 5mg and also these supplements on top? Can you do this? Is it even advised? Doing anything I can!

ReginaPhalange12 · 15/10/2023 16:23

@MrsHousePlant unfortunately AF is making an appearance 😔 I already sort of knew a day or so ago so it's not a complete shock but that last bit of hope. Onto the next month (although apparently my fertile window starts a week today!)
A flashing smiley is always exciting. Is this when you start BD?

I'm not sure if I'm timing things correctly. When is the best time to start & finish BD (in terms of TTC) ? Is it a day or 2 after a peak ovulation test? I wonder if I stop too early?

BelBabe · 15/10/2023 13:59

Jumping off the fence definitely now for baby no 2. I had been back and forth as I applied for a few new jobs bit got rejected from them on Friday so frig it! Taking it as a sign

I just did an ovulation test, does this look peak? I was planning an early night but I'll horse the coffee into me and entice the hubby tonight if it is lol 😆

TTCNumberTwo23 · 15/10/2023 12:00

@KM8 I use Premom OPK's and they say to text between 10am-8pm but I think Clearblue is FMU. I've JUST tested and got my peak about 10/15 mins ago so will text again probably 3 hours and once again before bed to check if it goes any higher :)

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 11:56

@KM8 I usually test twice a day, about 2 and 6pm. That said, the only time I actually got a strong positive off one I took it at 11pm because I'd forgotten to do one earlier.

KM8 · 15/10/2023 10:37

With the OPK's do you all test with first morning urine, some say to and other say to test between 10-5 etc? Going to start testing on Tuesday 😄

MrsHousePlant · 15/10/2023 08:48

@ReginaPhalange12 hope that you’re okay and AF stays away for you 🤞🏻 I have 25 day cycles so completely understand how you feel. It’s good because there’s no long waits but it also feels a bit relentless sometimes.

I’ve had a flashing smiley face on the CB ovulation test today, one day earlier than the last couple of months that I’ve tracked (where everything has been identical timeline wise). I’m fully on the rollercoaster of wanting this to be our cycle for a BFP, reminding myself not to get my hopes up too much and knowing only a week ago how crushing the feeling of AF coming is.

Sending you all love ladies, it’s so hard sometimes especially when we all go about our day to day lives overthinking while pretending nothing is wrong!

wanderlustre · 15/10/2023 08:21

@ceruleansky Nope, they literally just took bloods and gave me a pelvic scan (both of which my GP had already done for me at 6 months of trying and said were all fine). The only new stuff was that I had a vaginal swab done and my DH gave a sperm sample. So highly doubt there will be much to go on there. So frustrating that we've waited 6 months for tests we know 80% of the answers from already. I was referred slightly early (at 9 months of trying instead of a year) because I've had a couple of out cycle bleeds my GP can't explain but I can't imagine those tests would give much info about that either.

ceruleansky · 15/10/2023 02:47

@ReginaPhalange12
Hope she doesn't show up! :(

@wanderlustre
Hmm, it might be worth getting another opinion.. I would assume they'll try things like clomid, IUI or do a tube check first. Did you have the test which checks your tubes already?

@MsDeanna36
Congratulations to you!! Hope things work out for the better this time.

Katexx091 · 15/10/2023 00:10

Hello

I have been trying for baby number 2 for 2 years now, but been off contraception for 5 years, just started clomid on day 3 so hopefully it will help. X
