Just caved and tested at 8/9dpo. Of course BFN. Especially as it's too early plus afternoon wee.

I'll try again in a few days.

ReginaPhalange12 · 03/10/2023 17:25

Thanks for confirming @hicketypickety

@ceruleansky I've had a static smiley on the CB but no peak on my easy@home but I'm worried I missed it as I only tested once yesterday. Have you?

@Aaj04 I've had this but on an IC & thought it was faulty. Maybe try again in a day or 2. Good luck

Aaj04 · 03/10/2023 16:55

So sorry, forgot to mention that I'm 11 dpo today
Going absolutely crazy
Tia xx

Aaj04 · 03/10/2023 16:51

Hi All, jumping on this tread if that's okay :)
I need help
I got a very faint bfp on a cheapie yesterday morning and then again in the afternoon. Checked again at night, and it was negative. So I tried again this morning - negative again
I bought CB early test and the tests turn out faulty 😭😭😭😭😭

I've had symptoms like nausea, bad taste and cramps and it's all still there

What does this mean 😭😭😭😭 not very hopeful at this point

hicketypickety · 03/10/2023 16:15

@justkeepswimming2701 I find it impossible not to test. I just think of my old headteacher pulling boys and girls apart and shouting TOUCHING MAKES BABIES, I wish they'd have told us how hard it can actually be Grin

wanderlustre · 03/10/2023 15:46

I took another test this morning (12DPO). The brand I used says it's 99% accurate at 4 days before a missed period (which I am today - short cycles). It was a BFN so counting myself out for the month. No more tests. Just going to wait for AF on Friday now.

justkeepswimming2701 · 03/10/2023 14:47

I think I’m 9dpo/10dpo today and I caved with the tests. I took a frer Monday morning and I definitely imagined a line that only appears when I twist it every other way under a bright torch 😂 I’ve taken another one, Clear Blue, this afternoon and fairly certain it’s a shadow/an imagined one again. Anyway, I’ve made myself crazy. I’ve got one left which I’ll take in the morning as by then I should have a line without having to twist and turn it, otherwise I’ll need to accept that I’m out again this month. Wish I could be one of those calm, wait to see if AF shows up people.

Mi3mi · 03/10/2023 12:31

Yes! Every other day until positive lh test then everyday. For four days. I think we did it 10+ times - very exhausted. Hope it works!!

hopingfor23 · 03/10/2023 12:26

Hello everyone can I join?

TTC baby no2. My son is 9 months old but we struggled to get pregnant with him due to PCOS and long cycles. Finally cracked it by going private and had my metformin increases and taking inositol. I literally got pregnant the month after the private consultation! This was following 2 mc's and 18 months of trying.

I have been breastfeeding so only just got my period back last month (oh how I've not missed that!) and I'm delighted to have caught a very positive ovulation test a couple of days ago. Here's hoping we don't have such a struggle this time round 🙏🙏🙏 Officially 2dpo so nice to have others in a similar boat for support. I found these threads such a source of support last time xxx

ceruleansky · 03/10/2023 11:57

@ReginaPhalange12
How are you feeling this cycle? Have you had a confirmed ovulation yet?

Dg31 · 03/10/2023 10:10

Also had covid last week and AF came after 19 days. Very light tho. Was strange but I can only put it down to covid messing everything up

pontipinemum · 03/10/2023 09:53

@bumptobean we did! I think DH was just taking every opportunity he got.

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine thanks that's very interesting. It's telling me not to test until next Wed so 15DPO no way will I wait that long. I did one today. Which I knew was pointless

TTCnewbies · 03/10/2023 09:22

Hmm does anyone know if dryness down there is a sign of anything?
We DTD (out of fertile window) and it was really dry. I never normally have that problem. I'm sure it's not related but I guess you start looking at everything.

ceruleansky · 03/10/2023 02:24

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine
It looks like we are on the exact same treatment. Yes I've had PCOS since I was 13. Always irregular but I was not always overweight. I stayed with my grandparents when I was 9 so I was overweight then, maybe that affected my entire period for life? IDK.. I'm definitely within the normal weight range now, but still trying to lose weight. She said it will help.
My blood work shows that all my hormone levels are completely normal no signs of PCOS. My doctor was confused, she said these levels should be double with PCOS. But she could see the small cysts in my ovaries when she scanned me.
I was prescribed to take metformin thrice a day. She started the dose with 1 pill a day and would increase by 1 after every 7 days so now I take 3 a day. I had awful symptoms too but now my body is used to it. It definitely suppresses your appetite and lowers insulin resistance.

bumptobean · 03/10/2023 00:43

Does anyone BD the day before ovulation, the day of ovulation and the day after ovulation?

We are trying every other day but when ovulation comes I start feeling like maybe we should do it every day! 🤣

hicketypickety · 02/10/2023 22:34

CD12 for me today and debating whether or not to use the CB digital ovulation tests - I started spotting yesterday which is unusual for me mid cycle (32-35 day cycles). Was quite poorly last weekend towards the tail end of AF (with the spotting this weekend am actually wondering if I had covid during AF seeing as it seemed to be rife). AF was unusually heavy as well. Only managed to BD once so far this cycle.

MrsHousePlant · 02/10/2023 21:45

@ReginaPhalange12 Yes! You’ll ovulate after the static so BDing on the day of and the day after should be fine! 😊

WishingUponARainbow · 02/10/2023 21:23

@pontipinemum yes you're right it means sex but it stands for 'baby dancing' 🥲

ReginaPhalange12 · 02/10/2023 20:29

I've just done another CB digital and I've got a static smiley 🤦🏽‍♀️ I've gone from a circle to static in 12 hours, thought I'd be BD too early with just a circle but if we do it for the next 3 nights will that be enough?

ReginaPhalange12 · 02/10/2023 19:35

@ceruleansky sorry to see you're over here but fingers crossed this is our month!

@HRHXO I'm not entirely sure what's hapoening, easy@home tests are creeping up but still a blank circle on CB so I may or may not be your cycle buddy 😂 good luck to you though

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 02/10/2023 19:30

Ladies you may already know about this but if anyone wants to feel like they’re doing something without actually doing something then I recommend this site- the calculators in particular are brilliant. One of them shows the accuracy of pregnancy tests taken on every DPO and another one gives you the most likely
days for implantation based on when you ovulated. Hours of fun!

DoloresOnTheDottedLine · 02/10/2023 19:28

@ceruleansky i’ve got no experience with that drug but I’ve read about it on this forum and it seems to work for plenty! Really good that they found the right Clomid dose for you and your doc sounds very switched on. Now you know the right dose, seems a shame not to do as many cycles as possible! Do you have PCOS? I do and have also been prescribed Metformin (which I’ve stopped taking because it made me feel awful) and a supplement called Inofolic Alpha which is supposed to be good.

@TTCnewbies i’m not really sure when AF is due for me as my periods are so irregular so don’t worry - I’m sure your dates are right. You know your body. I’ve spent today thinking I’m definitely NOT pregnant after my silly test taking this morning and now I’m lying down imagining cramps and wondering if I am after all…. I’m driving myself nuts.

@pontipinemum irritability is definitely a symptom! Something to do with hormones (isn’t it always). Fingers crossed it’s - symptom for you and you don’t just have an annoying husband like me!

HRHXO · 02/10/2023 18:54

@ReginaPhalange12 my apps say I should ovulate tomorrow too, looks like we might be cycle buddies 😆

HRHXO · 02/10/2023 18:35

Hi all starting TTC for baby no2 thus month. My Flo app says I should ovulate tomorrow and I had a a decent looking OPK this morning (cheapy). I had DS last year after 10 months TTC last time but my cycles were all over the place from coming off the pill and now I think my cycles may have returned to normal finally! Last time I tracked ovulation but never really got dark lines so didn't even think I was ovulating so the test this morning is a good start! Can't wait to see some BFPs this month!

MrsHousePlant · 02/10/2023 18:22

@TTCnewbies it all depends on your cycle length so you’re probably right!! I’m 7DPO but have a short luteal phase and only 25 day cycles so AF is due for me on sat/Sunday. For others who have a longer luteal phase they’ll have longer to wait!
