9 months TTC and not even a hint of a BFP :(

I have been TTC for 9 cycles now (8 months) (tracking every month and BD on fertile days)
I am 25 and my partner is 27.
Both healthy - had baseline tests - no issues - was told to keep trying.

Regular periods, confirm ovulation with LH peak and temp rise, have EWCM every month.

I am 8DPO and my usual period symptoms have kicked in :( so I just know I am out.

This really is breaking my heart.

Anyone else successfully conceive after 9 months? I need some positive stories please ♥️

9 months is no time at all. How come you had fertility checks so young and after only I months of trying? Took us 10 months to conceive our first. Most people conceive within one year. Plenty of time yet. I know it's hard but you're so young, keep trying x

Angelselevenx · 08/10/2023 08:44

@baby197 congratulations! 😊

Angelselevenx · 08/10/2023 08:43

@baby197 I've moved onto cycle 9 too.

Started taking new wild nutrition supplements to help with levels although my baseline tests have all come back normal

Update-

Thanks everyone for your advice!
I got my BFP after 10 months on Friday! I stopped tracking, and just went with the flow. My dog has been unwell so I haven't even had chance to think about it anyway.
Can't believe it.
Hoping for a healthy pregnancy ♥️

@Sparkle88K I hated when people told me to relax. It's very difficult to control your emotions when you are TTC. So I find it difficult to give that advice.
But it is also what seems to have done the trick for us

Sparkle88K · 11/09/2023 14:08

It took us 1 year TTC, i am 34 and partner 36. I stressed about it a lot every month which didn't help, using ovulation kits, pregnancy vitamins & pre seed.
I was getting a lot of pressure from my family too about wanting a grandchild.

I was actually getting boarder line depressed over it looking back. Anyway we decided to book an amazing holiday & give ourselves a break from TTC.... we fell pregnant that same month lol. I'm currently 36 weeks!!

I would get so annoyed when people told me to relax, but I'm convinced it worked for us! Wishing you all the best xxx

FirstTimeMumma2021 · 11/09/2023 13:29

I have to track as my cycles are so irregular and sometimes I don't ovulate.
My GP told me best way is to dtd every 2nd day as its better and have fun.
When I did ovulate I didn't tell OH as didn't want him to feel the pressure. Also, it meant thay I always had a supply in me and he was loving it 😂
I use Clearblue OPKs as they tell you when you're going to ovulate with a smiley face but one time I've been day 17, another day 23 so not even close to the so called 'fertile window'

Good luck x

I took us 15 months to conceive our son. The whole TTC journey was extremely stressful and bad for my mental health. So I completely understand. But hang on in there.
We were thinking of looking into fertility treatment.
But the month we conceived we actually decided to stop actively trying.
I had decided to start a new job.We actually considered using protection that month. But because it hadn't happened for such a long time decided not to.
I had a wonderful relaxed month. Our parents came to visit. I was focused on my new job. And I drank a lot. Because we were out at restaurants with my parents and my new work went on a pub crawl.
After months of trying everything, opks, bbt tracking, vitamins, no coffee, no alcohol, that's the month it happened. Cliche but true.
What I am trying to say is that being healthy and young it should hopefully also happen for you too. It might take some tome. But up yo 24 months at your age is still normal.
I hope this gives you some relief.

It took my partner 12 months to conceive, had a miscarriage then got pregnant again with our son 3 months later. Just started trying to conceive our 2nd and had a chemical 1st month, and now just confirmed 2nd pregnancy this month straight after. So we've had some waiting and some straight away. Honestly if youre completely healthy its still only like a 25% chance even if you catch the fertile window.

It will happen, but most of it is just down to luck. I hope it happens for you xxx

emmatcc1 · 11/09/2023 10:46

@Angelselevenx I’m also due to ovulate on 21 or 22. We’ve decided to keep trying for the rest of this year and a bit into the next year and if still nothing then we start getting tests.

Angelselevenx · 11/09/2023 09:27

I'm also waiting back for my results from Hertility, hopefully this week 🤞🏼

Rose38 · 11/09/2023 09:22

Hope you get a BFP soon.x

Angelselevenx · 11/09/2023 09:20

@emmatcc1 sorry to hear :(

I'm cycle day 6 now, 2 days til AF buggers off then I'm due to O around 21st September 🤞🏼

You probably just need to relax then and not worry too much about everything. I think the more we worry, sometimes the longer it takes. I know with my last child I was looking at my period app all the time checking when is the best days to dtd etc.

I've just started a new cycle (cycle 10) and I've deleted all my apps and thrown my OPK strips 😊
Thank you x

@Angelselevenx AF arrived I’m now cd2. I guess it was just another weird cycle I lacked the sore boobs and even had some early spotting.
@Rebeccaemily93 I would try another brand those lines do look a bit unusual.

Try Conceive plus gel. You can buy it from Amazon. I got pregnant within a month of using it.

Thanks 😊 I've tried this one and also the pre seed one. Haven't worked for me ☹️ X

Angelselevenx · 11/09/2023 08:21

Any news @emmatcc1

ScarlettBeauregarde · 06/09/2023 22:40

@baby197 if you do end up buying it then make sure you look around for a discount code, I bought it for both conceptions and got 20% off both times. It’s really handy as you know exactly when you are ovulating, takes all the guesswork out. Good luck!

Took me 2.5 years to get my first BFP, no issues came up on tests, tracking or not made no difference at all! I have no idea why it's so varied, but keep on trying. Under a year is still considered totally healthy and normal x

Ah Thankyou. This really does give me hope. It's reassuring to hear it took others a while too. Xx

Definitely take pressure and systems out and listen to your body; it'll give you all the right signs and enjoy it. I did allllll the tracking and had a break and got our lovely impromptu surprise. Now 13 weeks

I will be doing this next cycle 😊 huge congratulations to you! Xxx
