TTC for 18+ months and feeling low!

Natty2 · 02/09/2023 14:42

I'm fairly new at this forum and decided to join after TTC since the start of 2022
We discovered earlier this year that my DH morphology was low, although all other results were normal. He implemented life style changes straight away, and even went through a varicocele embolisation a few months ago, so we're waiting to see if that's helped.

Having gone through the rest of the year undergoing tests everything seems normal, so the NHS are not letting us even get on the IVF list until 2024. It's been such a long, physical and emotional journey and there seems to be no end in sight.

Anyone else going through similar things? I feel like I live life in 2 week cycles and it's so hard to try and not think about it all!!
Any tips?!

@missmoosh oh no! Step away from google 😅
I'm actually good when it comes to not testing, I've probably only taken 5 tests or so during this whole process, as I've tended to only do it if something unusual has happened or I'm a few days late.

The rest of the time i normally think I'll try from 14dpo and almost always af arrives on 13dpo!!

@Natty2 yeah I mean I went down my usual 10dpo bfn to bfp success stories google hole 😂😂 everyone throws out the countdown to pregnancy website but that says like 30% of people have bfn that turns bfp, which tbh doesn't make me feel any better at all!!!
You going to test early or hold strong?

Natty2 · 24/09/2023 18:03

@missmoosh oh no! Guess that's still early days so keeping fingers crossed!
I'm only 6/7dpo but feeling the same as every month so not getting my hopes up. Got our appointment next month too 🤞🤞

missmoosh · 24/09/2023 17:42

Well I got a bfn at 10dpo so pretty sure I'm out yet again! Just weirdly looking forward to my appointment in a few weeks! 😂
How are you?

Natty2 · 24/09/2023 16:34

How's everyone feeling?

OP posts:
missmoosh · 20/09/2023 17:23

@Natty2 temps are still up! Maybe it's just one of my own weird progesterone symptoms. Think I will raise it though, as it is a bit odd! 😂

Natty2 · 20/09/2023 16:23

@missmoosh I wonder if it's a dip in progesterone maybe? Does your bbt go down then too?
I mean I'm 100% not medically trained in anyway 😂😂
I always find I get throbbing pains in my boobs in the tww, it feels like it's started earlier this time. But I'm also trying really really hard not to symptom check!

OP posts:
missmoosh · 20/09/2023 15:59

@Natty2 yeah that's what I kind of thought they should be doing, but they randomly get smaller for a few days around 6dpo onwards and then balloon again right before af!

Natty2 · 20/09/2023 13:33

@missmoosh I think I've only noticed them getting heavier throughout the tww and I always know the morning AF is going to arrive because they feel much smaller!

OP posts:
missmoosh · 20/09/2023 13:06

@LucyLoopyLu oh mine are massive 😂😂 I'm all boob! Yeah might raise it with doctor when I see them in a few weeks. See if they can do a full hormone panel at different times in my cycle or something...

LucyLoopyLu · 20/09/2023 11:31

@missmoosh hey, glad it went OK! No I don't get that with my boobs but mine are v small so don't notice too much change except for being sore sometimes in luteal phase. I think it's pretty common though to have breast changes throughout cycle, but if you're worried then definitely mention to someone (GP / fertility department).

missmoosh · 20/09/2023 09:57

Thanks! Bloods all taken should find out on Monday if I did ovulate!

Does anybody else find immediately after O their boobs get really full and heavy, but that they kinda shrink a bit/feel less full part way through tww, then go back to being really full right before af? Trying to work out if it's normal, or a sign something is going wrong somewhere 🤔

LucyLoopyLu · 20/09/2023 09:50

@missmoosh good luck for today!

Natty2 · 20/09/2023 07:35

@missmoosh 😅 good luck!

@Natty2 6dpo - got my blood test to confirm ovulation tomorrow. Though the fact I have burst out in tears already today would suggest I have! 😅

Natty2 · 19/09/2023 18:57

@DesteB I'm sorry it took such a long time for you! Was there particular reasons why?

OP posts:
Natty2 · 19/09/2023 18:56

@missmoosh I think I will have ovulated either Sunday/ Monday but hard to know without temping! So early days for me still. How many days dpo are you?

OP posts:
missmoosh · 19/09/2023 15:10

Time is going so slowly! How is everyone doing?

missmoosh · 16/09/2023 18:04

@DesteB gosh that's an awfully long time, I'm sorry you had to go through that. May I ask how old you were when you had them? And if you did anything specific or was it just random when it happened?

DesteB · 16/09/2023 16:29

I was 6 and a half years, i then had a miscarriage but fell pregnant 6 weeks later. It was then 8.5 years till i had my second.

missmoosh · 16/09/2023 15:50

@Natty2 hahha I have temped but only to confirm ovulation, as I needed to book in blood test..so gonna join you now in the no testing. I too have a lot of plans but I have already googled so much so it's clearly not helping me! Don't know why I still have hope every cycle after all this time 😅

@LucyLoopyLu good on you not using the opks, your timing sounds like you will hit fertile days regardless! Good luck with the call, do let us know what they say! I'm getting impatient for my appointment in October, so fed up waiting haha

LucyLoopyLu · 16/09/2023 12:05

@missmoosh I'm on CD13. I haven't been using OPKs this month so not sure where I am exactly. We've DTD Mon, Weds, Fri and will go for one more tomorrow I think. I think I've done enough OPK cycles not to be too stressed about timing.

I've got my call with the fertility clinic on 25th so that's coming round fast now

X

Natty2 · 16/09/2023 11:23

@missmoosh 😅 tww is so draining! I had a positive on my opk this morning so will be in the same boat soon! Although this time I'm not doing my temp testing etc so hoping I won't think about it too much... got lots of social things on over the next 2 weeks as well so hoping that helps. Although I'll let you know how that goes in reality 😂

OP posts:
missmoosh · 16/09/2023 10:31

How is everybody doing? 3dpo and already going mental haha

Foreverhopeful92 · 14/09/2023 18:22

@Natty2 Thank you! It was okay - no real news. She was really apologetic and said she doesn’t know why the hospital rejected the scan and has sent to somewhere else - like a medical centre instead. She’s said if I don’t hear about an appointment in 2 weeks she’ll try and do the referral without the scan.
I asked about referral wait times but she said she didn’t know so I guess I’ll have to wait and see!
Hope you’re doing okay! X
