TTC for 18+ months and feeling low!

I'm fairly new at this forum and decided to join after TTC since the start of 2022
We discovered earlier this year that my DH morphology was low, although all other results were normal. He implemented life style changes straight away, and even went through a varicocele embolisation a few months ago, so we're waiting to see if that's helped.

Having gone through the rest of the year undergoing tests everything seems normal, so the NHS are not letting us even get on the IVF list until 2024. It's been such a long, physical and emotional journey and there seems to be no end in sight.

Anyone else going through similar things? I feel like I live life in 2 week cycles and it's so hard to try and not think about it all!!
Any tips?!

@Natty2 yeah it defo is! I think in the back of my head I'm worried my anxiety is gonna delay my period, and I will miss the Christmas cut off still though! 😂

Oh no did you not get any in before ovulation??

I have read that it can cause issues so hopefully I can avoid that! Thanks for the tips!

@missmoosh must be such a surreal feeling! I said to DH that next month will feel weird to try for the last time. (Even though it won't work!) We definitely missed the boat on my early ovulation this month 😅
Keep us posted when you start taking your meds. My sister in law recommended flax seeds or lots of fibre as the hormones mess up with your digestion 😵‍💫

Had my bbt spike today, not sure it ovulation was yesterday or day before. But officially back in tww, last one before first round of ivf!

@Natty2 yeah I think it's the underlying thought of this isn't how I imagined making a baby!
Oh yeah your bbt has defo risen! I have odd cycles where I ovulate on CD 12, so it's defo possible! I still haven't had a temp rise despite my positive opk the other day, so I may not be the best person to ask about bbt though 😂😂😂

@missmoosh I can imagine it's quite overwhelming! We did our pre- treatment forms this week and even all that info felt heavy! Just things you wouldn't normally even need to consider for a natural pregnancy

I weirdly think I've ovulated on cd12 this month which is very unlike me.. I only started taking opks yesterday as I normally ovulate cd 15-17 but my bbt chart seems odd..?

@Natty2 oh excellent it's so weird how it takes so long to get to the point and then suddenly it's like all systems go and it moves so quickly! Really hoping for first round success for both of us!

I've just spoken to our private clinic, they've said we can fill in our pre treatment forms whilst we wait for the nhs signing.
They've said I could start on my next day 1... but my day 1 is the day we sign the forms!! Now I'm hoping for a irregular cycle 😂😂
Otherwise next cycle falls on Christmas
Either way, exciting to thing we can start in a few months, so I can only imagine how you're feeling now!

@Natty2 yeah I finally have so ewcm, so I'm not far off but the waiting is torture lol. If I'm like this now god knows what I'm going to be like in the tww after transfer!

So exciting, so not far behind me at all then! I'm hoping my nhs referral will get sent off over the next week or so, just in case this round doesn't work out!

@missmoosh ohh it's always the way isn't it! Fingers crossed it's positive soon.
I think the way my dates fall we probably will start in jan 🤞🤞

Remember how I said I would like a nice long cycle to make sure I had time to get all the IVF appointments in. I take it back, can I ovulate already 😂 meds are arriving tomorrow and still not had a positive opk!! Just wanna get going on the ivf now , the more I think about it the more I'm getting nervous that it won't work!

My appointment to sign the IVF forms has just come through a month earlier than we were expecting! Going in 3 weeks time! 🥳

Medication all arranged to be delivered early next week and opks are starting to get a bit darker so hoping ovulation will be in the next few days! Could be just over 2 weeks away from starting which is wild!

Update from me again! Had nurses appointment yesterday, we went over what will happen and when to call them etc. They showed us the charts they use and what not. We have paid and just have some consent forms to sign. Should get a call to arrange medication being delivered and then we just wait until AF shows up! Starting to feel a bit more real now!

@Foreverhopeful92 thanks! Just had appointment with my GP surgery for an ultrasound as well. They said I have a dominant follicle on each ovary, she couldn't say if I had ovulated yet or not, but said she can't say which one it will be as they are both dominant 😂
Will update you after the IVF appointment later! Day of medical appointments, thank god my work don't mind!

@Natty2 @LucyLoopyLu thank you! All feels a little surreal! Allowing myself to feel excited for the first time in a long time. I know it isn't necessarily going to work first time, but just knowing we at least stand a chance is going to be so nice!
