I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

And yes thanks @Kewchoc I’m 7dpo today. I don’t think it was anything though as no symptoms today. Not to worry, I didn’t have any implantation signs in my successful pregnancy so maybe no symptoms are a good sign in my case!

Amberellalina · 03/09/2023 15:18

Ah, sorry to hear that @moosey89. How do you know? Did you already have a test?

moosey89 · 03/09/2023 12:15

Well it looks like my progesterone levels aren't great - got a day 21 test tomorrow (technically CD22) and if that confirms low progesterone I should be able to get a prescription to take from ovulation next month. Praying that that helps! 🙏

Kewchoc · 03/09/2023 07:53

Welcome @Agathapoirot ❤️ sorry to hear of your loss. Let's hope that this is a lucky thread and we all get BFP''s soon 😊

Oooh @Amberellalina sounds promising, you're right about on track for implantation to happen aren't you? Hopefully that's what it is 🤞🏼

*cousin, sorry!

Amberellalina · 02/09/2023 20:19

Well, I think that all sounds positive, and if is too early for implantation then at least everyone’s symptoms could be related to progesterone rising nicely and helping to prepare for implantation ☺️

Welcome @Agathapoirot and sorry for your loss. Hope all goes well re: your niece/nephew and you’ll be able to announce the arrival of their sibling soon.

I had the slightest of slight spotting today - as in if I wasn’t wearing white pants I would have missed it - and some v v v mild twinges that I wouldn’t have even noticed if it weren’t for the TWW. I don’t think it’s anything in itself, but could be the start of more to come later or tomorrow, we’ll see…

Agathapoirot · 02/09/2023 15:24

Hi all,

Hoping to join if you don’t mind!

I had a mmc in July when I should have been 12 weeks, and it’s nice to see I’m not mad or alone for immediately wanting to TTC! I did wait for my first period just because I wouldn’t have coped with the anxiety of not knowing whether it was a new pregnancy or not, and only got a negative test after my first period had ended.

My SIL who I’m super close too is by complete coincidence, neither of us knew we were both TTC, is 2 weeks behind where I would have been, and the thought of still having cousins close together is spurring me on to really try.

I’ve half heartedly tried LH testing this month, but I think not doing it fully/not at all has caused more stress, so will see what happens this month and will either not do it at all or really try to do it consistently.

According to my apps, ovulation would have been yesterdayish. So will continue to try and DTD as much as feels normal next week and just wait and see!

Wishing everyone on the thread all the luck in the world

moosey89 · 02/09/2023 12:47

@HashB I had a similar moment today in the car, a sharp pinching feeling in the right place to be my uterus. My mind automatically went "oooh could be implantation!" 🤣🙈 we're hopeless aren't we 🤣

Kewchoc · 02/09/2023 11:54

@HashB I would be thinking the exact same thing in your situation though haha. Fingers crossed it's a good sign! I guess you'll know more over the next couple of days whether it was the wine or something a bit more exciting 🥰

I know what you mean about following the rules. Honestly I don't think it even makes much difference at this point and it just ends up being an additional pressure!

OP posts:
HashB · 02/09/2023 10:20

I’ve fallen in to symptom spotting and I hate it!
I had a small glass of wine last night (read you’re not meant to drink in the luteal phase but I felt like I followed the rules to the T last time and still miscarried so 🤷🏼‍♀️) and I woke up this morning feel so sick.

I actually don’t have a great tolerance to alcohol so it’s likely I’m just pathetic and hungover but still I’m like ‘6DPO…. Could this be a sign?!’

no brain, just shut up, it is not a sign!!!

Kewchoc · 02/09/2023 08:21

@Amberellalina Hahaha yep I'm exactly the same. Do you think being a scientist helps you view the TWW with a bit more logic? I do TRY to carry on as normal but I just think it completely takes over your brain when you're trying to conceive and is constantly the first thing on your mind in any situation for those two weeks!

I'm symptom spotting already, which I was going to try not to but it's so hard isn't it? I've woken up absolutely starving this morning, which was the first symptom I had with ds quite a while before a positive test. However I'm only 4DPO today so I do know that it's literally impossible for me to be having any symptoms yet but I'm still sat here this morning like "ooooh but what if.." 🙄

Amberellalina · 02/09/2023 07:48

I’ve started doing the if-I-do-this-will-it-hinder-implantation thing 😂 I’m a scientist, so logically I know that everything is happening at the microscopic scale right now and e.g. mowing the lawn won’t hurt, but it still doesn’t stop doubts creeping in! How about you guys? Do you do anything differently in the implantation window or just carry on as normal?

Kewchoc · 01/09/2023 17:04

Yes renovations are incredibly disruptive aren't they! We were originally planning on moving house this year but what with the mortgage rates we decided to stay put and renovate instead. We're only having a partition wall and door put in next week so I'm hoping it's not too messy but the next job after that is knocking the kitchen through into the conservatory so that's going to be a big (and messy) job I think!

That sounds like a lovely few days @Amberellalina I wish I got to go to nice places like Cardiff with my job!

How's everyone feeling today? Those of you that are a few days ahead of me could be implanting a little bean over the next few days which is exciting!

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 01/09/2023 11:56

Well that all sounds very distracting! We’re doing an extension next year I guess we have all this to come…

DD and I have our usual day together today where we tend to do a play date in the morning, and a long walk and the big shop in the afternoon. Saturday we’ve got a day at the seaside with NCT friends and Sunday we’re off to Cardiff because I have a work meeting there Monday and Tuesday and dd and dh are coming along for a jolly ☺️ That should keep me sufficiently busy to avoid testing until Wednesday!!

HashB · 01/09/2023 09:14

Oh good luck @Kewchoc and @moosey89!

we’re just at the end of renovating our house and it’s unbelievable how disruptive it is to your day to day life (and so so bloody dusty! Always!)

We also had our floorboards up Moosey and it’s crazy how quickly they turn it from your home in to an absolute building site! Good job that you’ve got somewhere else to move to!

moosey89 · 01/09/2023 08:59

Happy Friday everyone! Got a good weekend of distraction coming up, we've got house renovations starting on Monday so we're packing up the entire downstairs, taking the dog and cats to various fosterers and then moving to my in laws for 2 weeks (as for that time we won't have a floor, just a giant hole haha). How's everyone else doing?x

Kewchoc · 01/09/2023 08:25

Welcome @HashB and sorry for your loss ❤️ I agree the two week wait is a very lonely time. Even with the most supportive partner, they just don't understand quite like other women in the same situation do! Try not to count yourself out yet... I've seen so many women get BFP's when they were sure they were out!

I'm already trying not to symptom spot at 3DPO! Ridiculous!

What are you up to this weekend @Amberellalina? I'm working today which should make the day pass more quickly and then we also have quite a busy weekend planned. We also have some work men coming on Monday to start on changing some things around in our house so I'm hoping that will also be a welcome distraction!

OP posts:
HashB · 01/09/2023 08:03

Thanks @Amberellalina.

I’m also playing the distraction game, I actually joined a gym to give myself something to do. It has a spa too that I thought I might as well make the most of since it’s not recommended in pregnancy.

What does everyone have planned?

Amberellalina · 01/09/2023 07:03

Welcome @HashB! And sorry for your loss as well. I wouldn’t count yourself out too soon - your symptoms might just be mc related hormonal weirdness.

Weekend starts today for me - luckily quite a busy one which should keep my mind off of things…

HashB · 31/08/2023 20:37

Hey girls! We all seem to be at a similiar stage. I’m 4DPO today. I had an MMC in July, we got pregnant on my third cycle then (the first cycle I started OPKs) but I didn’t quite make 12 weeks. I wanted to try again immediately, I also felt like the universe owed me a baby! But last cycle wasn’t successful and I’m not feeling too hopeful this time I’ve noticed my discharge has gone has gone very similar to how it was last month prior to my period starting.

The two week wait is literally the worst. I really appreciate these posts though from people in the same boat as I actually find this whole process really lonely.

wishing you all good luck xx

Amberellalina · 31/08/2023 20:27

Same here - sore boobs was the first symptom, starting around 10 dpo. Last time I had implantation cramps and spotting at about 6/7 dpo but didn’t have that the first time.

moosey89 · 31/08/2023 20:04

@Kewchoc my sore boobs only started a couple of days before af was due both times so I guess I'd expect around 12dpo for me.... definitely not testing early though! Even though I have many, many cheapies at home 😂🙈

Kewchoc · 31/08/2023 19:46

Haha yes a Time Machine would be great! What do you both think is the earliest to possibly start showing symptoms? I know I was showing symptoms quite a few days before a positive pregnancy test with ds but I can't remember how many dpo it was!

OP posts:
moosey89 · 31/08/2023 14:09

@Amberellalina thank you. And yes if someone could create that time machine that would be brilliant 😂 2ww problem automatically solved!

Good luck to you too. Sending all the baby dust!x

Amberellalina · 31/08/2023 13:55

@moosey89 welcome to the club! And sorry for your losses. Fingers crossed for third time lucky and things happening even quicker this time!

Someone needs to invent a Time Machine that only needs to go forward two weeks. Then you’ll be able to see if it’s your month and either (a) get excited and start planning or (b) have a massive wine and get ready to go again next month ☺️
