1DPO... any cycle buddies out there?

I'm currently TTC following a miscarriage at 12 weeks on 5th August. I haven't had a period yet but we decided not to wait, as I'm desperate to be pregnant again and I think that is the only thing that will make me feel better about the loss. I have been tracking ovulation and did catch my peak so now just hoping I've got the timing of DTD right.

Just wondering if anyone out there TTC is around the same time in their cycle so that we can chat to each other really. I think I'm already driving my husband mad, it would be nice to speak to other people who really understand how I'm feeling! 😊

@Kewchoc know what you mean about concern re bonking. I think we might take it easy for the next few days to see how things play out. I'm also still spotting (although only a tiny amount) so don't really wanna rock the boat!

A new thread sounds like a good idea. Happy of course to still give updates here for those who want to see them. Great name btw 😆

Kewchoc · 06/11/2023 16:17

I've created a new one and tagged people but I'm pretty sure I've missed someone! In hindsight I probably wasn't the best person to do this considering I constantly get everyone muddled up 🤣

'Bonking our way to BFPs: rainbow babies due Spring/Summer 24'? 😂

Kewchoc · 06/11/2023 10:21

@Amberellalina Haha, I know what you mean, it's been lovely spending evenings just laid on the sofa knowing I don't need to move until bedtime! Yeah I guess that is an option isn't it!

Good thinking, do you have any thread name suggestions?!

Amberellalina · 06/11/2023 09:12

@Kewchoc to be honest I'm quite looking forward to a little break from it 😂

You could just stick to the stuff that doesn't go near little bean - I'm all for doing anything that alleviates the anxiety!

Also, shall we start a new thread for those of us who have had their BFPs? I'm mindful that some ladies on here are still waiting so it might not be nice for them to read posts about developing pregnancies...

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 20:04

How are all the preggo's feeling about bonking now? Ha, trying to keep it light hearted but honestly I'm so scared of having sex now. When the miscarriage started, it was the morning after we'd had sex in a couple of weeks and even though I KNOW that the sex didn't cause the miscarriage, I just feel so worried about the same thing happening again. Obviously it's impossible to tell when implantation happened this time but I'm worried that if it happened more recently and the egg isn't super snuggled in just yet, having sex might make it come dislodged somehow. Even typing this out I can see how absolutely unhinged I sound but yet I'm still sat here worrying about it 🙄

@Agathapoirot so glad to hear your scan went well! I'll probably do the same as you and @Kewchoc and book a scan at around the 7/8 week mark. Last time they managed to book the first scan at around 10 weeks so hoping I won't have to book another one until then.

@tlw14 looks like a fab line! I wouldn't worry too much about symptoms. I read pregnancy can weaken your immune system so to be honest I'm now wondering whether my symptoms aren't just the flu since it's still so early 😅

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 16:04

@Agathapoirot Absolutely, particularly now that you've seen the heartbeat, that's quite a milestone in early pregnancy 😊 I think I'm going to book a scan for around 8 weeks and then 10 weeks, so same as you really fortnightly. I'll be 8 weeks at beginning of December which will hopefully make the anticipation of my 12 week scan being next year feel a bit less far away!

Ah good, glad to have helped!

7+1, so still early days, but at least I know it’s off to a good start. I think I’ll book in every couple of weeks now until the 12 week scan.

Hopefully you’ll all be able to get in for those before Christmas!

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 15:37

@Agathapoirot Thank you, that has actually made me feel better 😊

That's amazing news about your scan 😊 how lovely! How many weeks are you now?

Awwwww, that’s amazing @Agathapoirot. So pleased for you x

Agathapoirot · 05/11/2023 14:13

@Kewchoc my easy at home took a while to get to the control line darkness, way past 14 dpo. I was 14 dpo on cycle day 1 on the tests pictured, hope that puts your mind at rest a little!

Just had my scan, was absolutely petrified, but measuring bang on for dates and saw a heartbeat.

1DPO... any cycle buddies out there?
Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 13:22

@Liz2681 Oh really? I'm going to be resting up until then and will be doing the digital around that point too so hopefully will feel more confident then! That's very cute about your partner haha I bet he was over the moon when you told him! Oh yes it's all sounding very promising isn't it!

@tlw14 Oh that's a really strong line! Don't worry about symptoms, I've not had many symptoms either. When I was pregnant with my son I literally didn't have a single symptom all the way through pregnancy!

@Kewchoc @Amberellalina my test from
this morning.. I’m around 16/17dpo today.
something about seeing the line so clearly which just makes you feel better!
I haven’t really had any symptoms though yet

Liz2681 · 05/11/2023 11:17

@Amberellalina ah that's great to know, thank you! Will definitely be taking that with me if I need to see the GP.

@Kewchoc that's great line progression! During my last pregnancy when I got to 13 DPO they were nowhere near that dark with those tests. I was lurking around online and a lot of people didn't seem to get their dye stealers until around 16-18 DPO so I wouldn't worry (although appreciate that's impossible when you're in our position!).

I've told my partner - to be fair he's been stressing about the TWW almost as much as I have, so when he asked me this morning if I'd taken a test I couldn't say no! 😅

In terms of symptoms, I'm getting bouts of mild nausea which seem to get worse when I'm in the car (oh joy!). Also woke up with a mad headache this morning which I'm hoping goes away soon. This already feels so much different to last time so im hoping that's a good sign!

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 10:57

@Amberellalina I know you're right but I think I was expecting the test like to be as dark as the control line by now

OP posts:
Amberellalina · 05/11/2023 10:49

@Kewchoc that looks fine to me - if you chuck away yesterday’s then today looks twice as dark as Friday - which is consistent with hcg doubling in 48 hours x

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 10:30

@Amberellalina Have you had a nice time? Ahh one of the more annoying symptoms haha! But exciting that you're getting new ones, hcg is obviously rising 😊 I'm also going to do a weeks indicator during the week but im going to wait a couple of days so that i hopefully get 2-3 weeks.

This is my line progression since Friday (Friday am, Saturday am, Saturday pm and the bottom one is this morning) I know they're getting darker but I'm a bit concerned that this mornings is still quite light for 13dpo

Morning all!

@Liz2681 that definitely looks like a line to me! Tentative congratulations - I really hope your spotting is just implantation and that everything works out. Tommy’s have a printout that you can take to your GP that helps to get progesterone prescribed if you need it x

We’re on the way home after a tiring weekend. I did a CB weeks indicator this morning (14 dpo) and got 1-2 weeks, it was nice to see the word ‘pregnant’ ☺️

Gonna do an easy@home tomorrow to check line progression. New symptoms here include constantly needing to pee!

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 09:46

@Liz2681 that's exactly the same as what I'm doing haha. I wasn't planning on using easy@home again as I had a bad experience with them last cycle, but now that I know I'm definitely pregnant I think they're ok for line progression purposes! Have you told your partner yet? I got a super faint positive at 9dpo and was planning on keeping it quiet until I got a strong positive, but I can't keep anything to myself so he knew about 10 minutes after I'd done the test 🤣

Yeah you're so right. Have you had any other physical symptoms? I had horrendous nausea last time and to be honest I'm really hoping I don't get it again this time!

Liz2681 · 05/11/2023 08:16

@Kewchoc thank you 😊! Yup, planning on doing a digital test at 14 DPO and monitoring line progression for the next few days with the easy@home tests. Tried to find more FRERs on Amazon but they don't appear to be back in stock!

Yes it's tough figuring out what's pregnancy related and what isn't! Like you, I've been struggling to sleep over the last couple of days which is unusual for me, but don't know if it's just because we had a lot on this week. My BBT has also been really high so that might be pregnancy but also because my sleep's been so erratic 🫤.

Kewchoc · 05/11/2023 07:53

@Liz2681 Ooooh thats definitely a line! I think that line is really clear for 11dpo! Tentative congratulations 💐 I understand your worry and it's really hard, but fingers crossed this time works out for you 🤞🏼 are you going to do a digital test in a few days?

I'm knackered this morning, just kept waking up last night and couldn't get back to sleep. Not sure whether it's pregnancy related or just a coincidence, it's hard not to connect everything isn't it!

Morning, how's everyone doing?

@Kewchoc nearly spit out my coffee reading that 😂 the emotional rollercoaster is rough, but you're right, it's nice to have a new symptom!

So took a FRER test this morning (11DPO) which I think is showing a faint line 😬. Have been spotting brown (sorry TMI!) since 9DPO so terrified of this ending in another chemical. If my lines progress and the spotting continues I'm going to go see my GP to see if they can prescribe progesterone. In the meantime though just trying to keep a level head about everything and hope this one's a sticky bean🤞🏼

Kewchoc · 04/11/2023 17:25

I suppose this is actually a good thing in theory, as it would be considered a new symptom.. but I'm so bloody emotional this afternoon. Took ds to an imaginative play village this afternoon and a (much older) boy pushed him then stood squeezing my little boys hand until he let go of the toy. I told the little boy he was a little shit and to fuck off that we don't do that and it wasn't very nice. Usually that would be the end of it but today I've spent the rest of the afternoon going down an emotional spiral of how I won't always be there to protect ds from other shitty kids and crying about it. For reference, I usually cry about once a year (unless I'm pregnant 🤣) oh the joys of pregnancy hormones!
