I feel as though I’m doing the bloody hokey jokey the amount I’ve been in and out of this forum over the years 😅😂

Hello!
Ive a long old story but I won’t bore you with it unless you’re interested… I’m 31 TTC our first, and currently 9dpo with a chemical way back in November. I’m just looking for some company and hopefully some positive vibes between the group so someone… anyone gets their BFP! Hopefully me too of course 🤞
We all need a little bit of positivity so let’s do this together ✨

@Mango30 Google says that an average luteal phase is 12-14 days, so I wouldn't expect 12 days to be considered short. Or have you been told it is? Mine is similar.

@Yolo23 Yes I had heard about being more fertile after a chemical, but it doesn't seem to be the case for me either... had some sharp ovary pains and have been hopeful that it's implantation, then had some bleeding that was very watery blood that keeps dipping in and out though, so not sure if it's AF on its way (never appears in this manner usually) or actual implantation. Only time will tell, another BFN this morning so not holding out too much hope :(

Yolo23 · 05/09/2023 22:49

@Mango30 thank you. It is shit! In fairness, I’ve always been prepared for these issues because a few years back I was TTC and nothing was happening… I always deep down knee something was wrong and then I had endo confirmed in 2020 followed by an op in 2021, so my BFP chem in 2022 was very unexpected and proof that the operation made some slight improvement although in the back of my mind, I’ve always known we’d need IVF. The appointment is to get us on the way with that I believe so fingers crossed everything will go smoothly (famous last words! 🤣)
I’d say to get on the waiting lists for NHS if you can and don’t delay because things takes years and if you know something isn’t quite right… it usually isn’t so get ahead of the game 🥰❤️ praying you get your BFP soon too!! ✨🤞

@Yolo23 thank you for being so kind, I'm sorry to hear of your struggles too, it's shit isn't it! I'm exactly the same with symptoms, and even though I know it's silly I still imagine and hope for the due date each month 🫠
I hope your appointment goes well, and you get some answers or even just peace of mind. I had one with a private doctor after my miscarriage and they basically said that I could have some scans to check if I was ovulating (I didn't go ahead as it was £700+) so that might be worth asking about if you can get that. I think if I had another miscarriage or can't conceive again by the end of the year I'll try and go with the nhs if possible.
completely agree with your comment - how bonkers that that many people get born every day, with these chances 🤯😭

Yolo23 · 05/09/2023 20:15

@Mango30 im sorry to hear all you’ve been through! It sounds as though it’s been a very up and down few months 😞
our bodies are just crazy.. it’s so normal to obsess but then in the back of my mind I’m always thinking… don’t think about it, but as soon as you get to the last week of the TWW I can’t help but symptom spot. From my understanding, my luteal phase feels pretty short too or has done previously.. I’m also only ovulating for around 12 hours if that - I gather this from testing again using ovulation digitals which may be incorrect but it does seem as though my cycle at that point is shorter!

@Ladameauxyeuxbruns oh fingers crossed for you my lovely! Course you can join.. sorry to hear about your chemical. They say you’re more fertile after but sadly wasn’t the case for me - for lots of others it is though! 🤞 ✨ xx

@Tottenhaminmyblood AF didn’t just come today… it came with a vengeance!! Was really poorly in work but luckily my strong tablets kicked in. Atleast I felt prepared, and also it was bitter sweet as the specialist appointment we’ve been waiting for has confirmed for the 21st sept so that’s really good news!! I was able to get it expedited because of my endo and the pain I experience so it’s nice to have a goal to aim towards - not sure what the appt will consist of.. properly an over sharing session and then more waiting 🤣 but it feels progress and much needed.
Whats your situation with appointments etc? How long have you been TTC for again? Xx

@Mango30 that's what I kept hoping but I don't think so I'd say AF will hit me with hard this eve or the morn 😂 meant to say iv been pregnant 3 times so it can happen wit shorter luteal phase 🙌 xx

Mango30 · 05/09/2023 19:51

@Daniki oh thank you thats really reassuring. Wow and no sign of a line on a test? Hopefully it's just a late shower and you might get it soon - could the spotting be implantation??

Daniki · 05/09/2023 15:42

@Mango30 mine is the same usually 11-12 days. Altho I'm 14dpo today and af still hasn't fully started just spotting and the cramps etc so who knows! My first pregnancy was successful and would have been the same luteal phase x

Mango30 · 05/09/2023 15:40

i completely agree with you all about how our bodies convince us - it's so frustrating! Really hard not to read into every little twinge and get hopeful.
i had a chemical in January and then obsesed over my cycle and symptoms in feb March and April to no avail. It was only when I practically gave up and stopped testing and got pregnant... although that ended in a loss in June.
I wish I could just fast forward to the time when I don't obsess and think about it non stop, it's so difficult isn't it!
I get worried that my luteal phase is a bit too short for me to get pregnant and maybe keep a pregnancy - has anyone had similar? Mine is usually 11-12 days.

Ladameauxyeuxbruns · 05/09/2023 12:45

Hoping I can hop on this thread. Tested this morning at 11dpo and can so easily convince myself that there's a vvvvfl, but who honestly knows, will test again tomorrow. Had a chemical last month, so really hoping this month is the one. AF is due tomorrow but no sign of it so far. Getting quite tired of ttc.

Tottenhaminmyblood · 04/09/2023 22:33

@Yolo23 i know everyone I know are either pregnant or just had babies and it just seems so out of reach for me . I’m. 37 now and just not sure how much more of this disappointment I can take . Has af shown for you ? It’s just all consuming xz

Yolo23 · 04/09/2023 21:13

@Tottenhaminmyblood its just bizarre!! Our mind really does play tricks on us. Also google makes us endlessly doubt and then hope because it says the lead up to a BFP could bring the same symptoms as AF so it’s a nightmare 😂 we can’t win. Honestly I genuinely cannot believe how many people are in the world based on so many things having to line up - right now it feels the moon and stars have to come together in a certain way to even come close to a BFP 😅 when other people seem to be able to get pregnant so easily! It’s crazy x

Tottenhaminmyblood · 04/09/2023 19:42

It’s so strange isn’t it our bodies in this TWW . I have had awful af symptoms for 5 days already and I’m 12dpo . Never normally get any until day or two before . I hope some of you get your BFP on this thread xx

Daniki · 04/09/2023 14:38

@Yolo23 well at least that's something to look forward to now 😂🙌 yea I think that's best we put so much pressure on ourselves don't we 🫠

Yolo23 · 04/09/2023 14:34

@Daniki dont they just!! It’s honestly bizarre how mental our bodies are throughout this process…
I think moving forward, I’m just going to forget about it all in terms of dates and symptoms and just see what happens.
on the plus side, I’m glad I booked my hen weekend now! I was wondering whether to delay but the rooms would have sold out… I’d have rathered a BFP of course 🤣😅

OP posts:
Daniki · 04/09/2023 13:51

@Yolo23 I think so! I bought aload of the boots early cheapies last week so will just wait and see what happens my spotting has also spotted! Our bodies really like to taunt us 😂😂

Yolo23 · 04/09/2023 13:49

@Daniki aww always best to save the money 😂 I’m having a weird cycle, bleeding yest and definitely period, it’s stopped today - normally means the wrath will hit and I’ll be in agony with a heavy period soon. I’ve got another CB digital upstairs but will see what happens now tomorrow with is day of AF. I’m not holding out any hope, definitely period but either come or don’t! 😂👊

OP posts:
Daniki · 04/09/2023 13:15

@Yolo23 I was going to but then I started spotting so no point as AF will start later on I'd say 😂🙈

Yolo23 · 04/09/2023 13:13

@Daniki oh no! How confusing… I’d have to get out and buy more tests like ASAP 🤣🤔 xx

OP posts:
Daniki · 04/09/2023 09:12

Frustratingly I have an evap this morning 😭tested this morn and thought BFN. Got dressed brushed teeth etc and looked again and there's I think an evap line. I didn't notice it this morning when I first checked anyway, but I had the curtains closed and lights on in room 😂 no tests left either 😂

Yolo23 · 03/09/2023 22:34

@Mango30 it is super tough! I go through months where I’m not symptom spotting at all but then we done everything right timing wise and in comparison to when I had my only BFP, that you just couldn’t question the symptoms! Just shows that you’ll never actually ever know until you know so I’m not wasting my time wondering any more. Good luck for your BFP my lovely ❤️✨ hopefully soon! Xx

Yolo23 · 03/09/2023 22:33

@Daniki bless you, thank you ❤️ it’s so hard when you convince yourself and you know your own body. Your appointment won’t be long.. that’s good news 😊 I’m going to chase mine up tomorrow and just let this part of TTC be now.. I’ve tried everything possible in terms of time, dates, partners SA. I’m also accepting of the fact that it may have to be adoption in future, so I’ve got a plan.. this holding on and being obsessed is not part of it. Such a shame so many people go through this and it never gets talked about! Hope you’re ok too xx

OP posts:
Yolo23 · 03/09/2023 22:30

@Tottenhaminmyblood bless you! Thank you. It is honestly just hard going - I hate the TWW where you convince yourself it won’t and will happen endlessly. Spent so much of my time googling symptoms and counting days.. it’s quite pathetic 😅🤣 so I’ll not be doing it again! I guess I can be so flippant knowing we will be having some sort of appointment shortly. I honestly can’t believe how many people struggle like this behind closed doors. Hope you’re ok xx

OP posts:
Daniki · 03/09/2023 10:40

@Yolo23 ah I'm sorry, same boat 12dpo and negative. Still so nauseas no idea what that's about! Haven't had any spotting yet but I notice when I wee, the toilet roll is a bit darker than normal which happens before AF.
I think having the appointment is great as it takes the pressure off, so many people actually fall pregnant naturally at that stage because the pressure is gone!
Iv an app myself on the 14th with a specialist that I went to see after my second miscarriage, get bloods etc done again and see what she thinks!

We all deserve a big glass of wine and chocolate! Hope yous have a nice Sunday regardless of the shitty tests ☹️ ❤️
