I’m not 100% as I have just come off the Nexplanon implant. AF was almost non existent in before removal which was 21/08. AF has made no appearance since the removal. Iv done a 2nd one this morning which was also faint but then when doing 2 test strips this afternoon, there is no 2nd line?

@Charemma56 I can see it too, congratulations!
How many DPO are you?

@ceruleansky 😄 thank you. I'm not entirely sure, they're good though, others made me feel a bit sick last time I was TTC but these are fine.

ceruleansky · 17/09/2023 15:33

@MixedCouple
Oh I see, thank you for the information, it helps!!

@ReginaPhalange12
First of all, love the username!

I used to take seven seas, even before I was ttc, it helped with my hair growth.
I wonder if it's okay to take it along with other prenatal vitamins..

Kate543 · 17/09/2023 15:25

Best way to find out is test again in a few days but it looks good :) I’m trying to wait until at least Tuesday to test but it’s so tempting

Charemma56 · 17/09/2023 15:20

Thank you! I’m just hoping if I test in a few day, it will get stronger. Would you class this as a definite positive?

Kate543 · 17/09/2023 15:20

Yea I can see it congrats :) x

Confusedddddddd · 17/09/2023 15:01

@Charemma56 yep I can see it. Congrats!

Charemma56 · 17/09/2023 12:05

Help… can anyone else see a 2nd line or is that me?

@DiaryOfaTTCer you should ideally take folic acid for a couple of months before you get pregnant so if you haven't started yet I'd start some now ☺️

Oh no - I forgot all about that! I best get some today!

DiaryOfaTTCer · 16/09/2023 09:13

Morning everyone, hope you're all well.

I'm 16 DPO today, CD30. I usually have 28 day cycles and AF was due yesterday according to fertility friend. No sign of it yet. Haven't done any tests yet - going to give it a few more days.

Should I be taking folic acid at the moment? I can't remember what I did with our first LO!

This is our first cycle trying for our second baby.

MixedCouple · 16/09/2023 05:35

@Stardust89 I was unlucky and got my period 6weeks postpartum. After 4 weeks of bleeding a 2 week break and then back to normal. Despite doing everything my midwife said to keep them away. Nursing on demand keeping LO close by in the same room and sleeping right next to me. LO was a milk monster to. My cycles were all over the place the longest was 43 days and the shortest was 21days. The only thing different is it had 0 pain and it slightly lighter.

But 3rd period after weaning and it is back to being bad. Unbearable on my heavy days. I have suffered with dysmenorrhia and Menorrhgia from the very start of my reproductive life.

After age 30 my cycles went from regular 28-31days to irregular one cycle I am 37 the next 28 then the next 42 days etc. Which I was told is irregular and that it might be a sign of an anovulatory cycle(s). I need an up to date TVS and full blood work.

Hi guys!
I'm new here. I'm ttc too. It's been hard with PCOD and clomid.
My first clomid cycle, i didn't even ovulate. I'm on my 2nd clomid cycle, ovulated this time and hoping for the best.

What kind of prenatal vitamins do you guys take? And any specific food to increase chances?

Good luck to you all!

All the beat fot you on this journey.

Nuts are great to snack on especially Brazil nuts Selenium is high in these. I have 3 daily me and OH. Only started last month.
Folic Acid, Vit D (I am deficient) Omega 3.
Last month I includer Ubiquional and Maca Root. I also started Pregnecare but not sure I will continue it.....

MixedCouple · 15/09/2023 14:16

@Stardust89 that is interesting from what I read once weaned Prolactin drops quiet quickly. I do know that it can stay elevated in certain groups of women.
I booked apts with Gp for me and OH for next week to discuss.

My last gyne Ultrasound was back in 2011/2012 so I do need an up todate one. I had blood tests done 4 months ago due to weight loss and anemia (just a hungry monster baby). They checked Thyroid etc and all came back fine.

BuzzieBo · 15/09/2023 13:59

AF due tomorrow - took a test this morning and it was negative. Its my Mums birthday tonight, thinking if I should have a few drinks or not? I'm out this month aren't I? So it should be OK.

@LondonGirl1992 congratulations!

I took a test earlier this week and it was negative and I’ve taken two today and they’re postive was a bit of a shock after the negative test!

My period was due today.

Omg congratulations @LBNM19 is this your first as well? It’s such a surreal feeling! I’ve still not told my partner yet- not sure how to yet!

That's amazing, congratulations @LondonGirl1992

@ceruleansky I take seven seas, trying for a baby. It's only around £3.50/£4 & what I used when I conceived my DC a few years ago, hoping it's lucky for us this time

I’ve been TTC since coming off the pill after 13 years in March. I did a pregnancy test earlier this week and it was negative and I just felt so deflated that yet again it was another unsuccessful month. I told my boyfriend about the test and for the first time, he seemed a bit bummed it was negative.

I have had bad period pains for the last 2 days but was due on 2 days ago so that’s normal. However, I just had a feeling I should do another pregnancy test…. PREGNANT! Wahhhh!!! Straight away it came up with the cross and I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Quickly ran to the shop to buy 2 more- including one that gives weeks! Lo and behold- 2-3 weeks pregnant EEK! slightly awkward as I started a new job on Monday but never mind! ❤️❤️ I cannot believe it- after months of losing hope, blood tests, temp tracking…. I AM PREGNANT! I’ve not told anyone in the world yet but I had to share with someone because it’s so surreal!

@Lushfanatic123 you shouldn't use OPKs to check for pregnancy, it's unreliable. Some women have LH surges later in the month and it's nothing, sometimes the tests pick up pregnancy...but I'd stop testing long before you get to that point as it can just cause more test anxiety! Best thing is to wait and see if your period comes or not.

Tigger1116 · 15/09/2023 08:50

@MixedCouple have you had blood tests and scans to check for anything

Lushfanatic123 · 15/09/2023 08:28

A question due to being curious - will opk's detect pregnancy?

It is my first cycle using them and I think it was positive on the 8/9th.
I'm continue to use them just to be sure but I was wondering if it would pick up pregnancy at 10/11dpo?

Stardust89 · 15/09/2023 07:33

I took pregnacare in my last pregnancy, but I'm not this time. I'm just having Sainsburys, folic acid, vitamin d and iron. They'll do the same job at a fraction of the price. Also they're tiny to swallow not massive like the pregnacare ones

Stardust89 · 15/09/2023 07:30

@MixedCouple my periods came back at 16m pp and then they were all over the place before settling again. Although in August it went weird because she upped her feeding again whilst we were in DisneyWorld. I think it takes a while to settle back down after weaning. So I remain positive for you that BF is the reason rather than perimenopause. When I asked in BF groups a lot of people had similar experiences too.
