TTC Sept 2023

I was told to test 20dpo so 4th October is my test date.
I'll be in another city at that time, alone and away from my husband. Trying not to think about how I would handle all those emotions but I'm just hoping for the best.
Don't wanna see AF this time! I'll know on Oct 1st lol. 😖

That's interesting. I guess it would all add up since they give you the shot to trigger the rupture and ovulation would occur around the same time..

Yeah that's what I thought! That the hcg would skew them..

I didn't test before my positive but I was 9dpo when a light positive showed . I was the same I get ovulation cramping every month and the cramping just continued until I got the bfp and beyond

I gave in and tested today at 10dpo… bfn! I’m so annoyed at myself I know better than that

Hello everyone, just wondering how many DPO you were getting your positives? Following a MC last month I told myself I’d chill out and not be counting the days but here I am 7dpo itching to test already 😅. I’ve been getting light cramping for the last couple of days which was very similar to last time so that’s keeping it on my mind.

@ceruleansky opks also pick up hcg, but pregnancy tests don't pick up LH. So yes if you have hcg in your system you will have a second line on an opk (how dark or whether it appears positive ie darker than control depends on how much hcg in your system)

@ceruleansky I'm really not sure, I do know my OPKs were positive before and I was pregnant. But the hCG shot could be skewing that all!

I was just wondering if any of you guys know about this:

My gynecologist is doing a follicular study on me and I'm on 150mg clomid. On day 13 she saw that a follicle had matured and she gave me a trigger shot. It was a hCG shot to help the follicle to rupture (which it did).

So I should ovulate 12-36 hours after that shot I think. I wanted to take a opk to see which day I would ovulate but if you're pregnant you don't ovulate and I had hCG in my system (artifically, through the vaccine). So if I had taken a pregnancy test it would have been positive and an opk would have been negative. Is my understanding correct?

Yee but I seem to have issues. I sometimes have 28-33-36-38-40+ day cycles..last month was 34 and the month before 42 the month before 28.

I just started BBT so interested to see what it shows. I have done 5days and on my period and sees pretty normal for charting.

It could be implantation spotting.

I also had spotting at 8DPO for a few hours ended up with a chemical though.

@Confusedddddddd sorry to hear that, I was very lucky & had MTX. I think that's the side I ovulated from but not 100% sure. The cramping has eased off now. I hope your follow up goes well. Once you've had an ectopic it's hard to not worry about it with future pregnancies.

@FigandHoney it's not happened to be but it could be implantation bleeding 🤞🏽

Hello ladies. So I am feeling massively confused. I am CD24, 6 or 8dpo. Normally my cycles are 28 days long.
Well yesterday I woke up to a huge spike in my bbt. But then in the evening I started spotting. A mix of pink, brown and red.
It stopped this morning. BBT temperature still high up. But then started up again. First light brown. Then rust.
Only ever when I wipe.
I have this really tight feeling in my pelvic area. Not cramping. More like stressing.
The colour makes me think it's most likely mu period starting.
But I am so confused about it starting a week early. Anyone experienced this before?

@ReginaPhalange12 did you have your tube removed? In which case the pains are likely nothing.

I've also had left sided pains for the last few days which is the side of my remaining tube, but I think I might have ovulated from that side so might be a cyst - I had some large cysts removed from that side too as part of my ectopic op.
I have my follow up appt in a couple weeks so will ask if these pains are normal. I might panic if I get a bfp this month though thinking it's ectopic.

Hello ladies, going to jump in here, although I don't think I will be ovulating for a few days yet and have just started OPKs.

I had my 1st period last week after no periods since October 2021! I had DS and breastfed, I had to stop bf. I had been doing OPKs and nothing was happening.

My period finished Sat/ Sun, I know from the last time I ovulate early so prob DTD every 2nd night this week. Don't think DH will mind!

I am getting dull period like cramps, sometimes just localised on my left side which is making me anxious as I had an ectopic pregnancy a few years ago, on the left side. I think I had it with my successful pregnancy too but it's hard to remember. I'll be testing tomorrow, AF due on Thursday 🤞🏽 my boobs don't feel as heavy & sore which for me means AF is coming but we'll see...

I did another this morning but it’s just a really faint one still….

I have red circled where the shadows are - we’re these the lines you meant?

Where do you see the lines on the test strips as this is where I am struggling? Are you looking at where I have circled as these are not lines. Just shadows from the ‘max’ strip or are you looking elsewhere and I’m missing it?

@Confusedddddddd I have had nausea since 3w3d I got it later on with my previous pregnancy, so you never know!

@Charemma56 I can see lines on all of them congratulations! If you want to double check then make sure you use morning wee (hold it for as long as possible) my strip ones were much fainter than the other ones when I tested.

Ffs - told myself I would take it easy this cycle after going batshit crazy last cycle analysing everything. I've been super nauseous today - but I'm only 4/5 dpo so there's no way it would even be a symptom this early, I didn't have any nausea until 8weeks in my successful pregnancy and 5 weeks in my ectopic. So yeh here I am going batshit crazy again... I hate the TWW.

@Charemma56 I think I can see some vvvfl on the strips too... it could be because you need to use FMU.
