@Skyla01 I'm also very regular, well I was before the pill. I've been off the pill for 2 months but it still looks pretty regular. I think I might do that - just use it for a couple of months to check if ovulation day is always the same every month. That helps thank you!

@UnaVaca Oh amazing! Just goes to show sometimes you just gotta wait till your period is due.

@muffin1996 yep! I had done a test the day before period and it was negative and I had cramping and felt so tired I went to bed early.

@Riverofhope that's really tough. It took over a year to conceive with my first and that was a really hard time. I've been off contraception for almost a year this time too. Unfortunately for some of us it isn't an easy process. Fingers crossed for you soon.

@muffin1996 yeah my cycles are regular. I tracked with opks when TTC before and I ovulated around the same time each month. Are you regular? It might be best to use opks for 2 or 3 months and see if ovulation is happening around the same time. Before I tracked for a few months then stopped as I had the info I needed, and I found using opks a bit stressful.

@Skyla01 I usually ovulate around then too, and was going to relax on the testing but then this month got some ovulation pains so did a test and was positive day 13! I think we stop too early maybe too… I’ve had enough by then!
It’s been 10 cycles now, never imagined it would take this long 😞

i know what you mean. I get my hopes up at the littlest sign of AF being delayed. This is my first month trying. Well I decided I wanted to try towards the later part of my fertile window but I still had hope lol.
Are your periods regular? I’m just thinking if regular period means you always ovulate on a specific cycle day.

@Riverofhope really sorry you have been through that twice :( I think I ovulate about cd16/17 although not sure. This month we DTD every 2nd day from cd10 to cd16. I think every 2nd day is fine, although we probably should have done cd18 as well but I ran out of steam. I might use opks going forward to help timing a bit better. How long have you been trying since your last mc?

@Skyla01 Sorry to hear about your loss, I’m in the same boat. Can I ask how often you are DTD, I’m wondering if we aren’t trying enough.
I fell pregnant 2 months in a row last year both MC, but now can’t seem to at all…. X

@muffin1996 my AF is due today. Thought it was coming but no sign yet. Trying not to think about it- don't want to get my hopes up. I was thinking of using opk next cycle too, to make sure we are DTD at the right time. It's been a few cycles since my mc so want to make sure we are doing all we can. I think I'm too enthusiastic with DTD at the start of fertile window but run out of steam towards the end when it's probably more important to be DTD! I used clear blue when trying for my 1st child and it was expensive but really helpful and easy to use.

How I everyone getting along! AF due tomorrow and I can feel my body prepping for it lol

@BelBabe Thanks. I have had loads of tests and all normal. Seen a while range of consultants. Just don’t know what to do as feel im running out of time 😞

My cheapie opks are showing up as really dark any my bbt has just gone up but clear blue tests are still showing as an empty circle. Anyone else had this problem before?

Have you talked to your GP or thought about any testing?

Jumping on TTC baby no. 2.
I got really obsessive with my first tracking everything, symptom spotting and doing early tests and told myself I would be more chill this time.

But here I am 4 DPO checking my nips to see if they've got any darker 😂

I actually regretted testing so early last time it made the first trimester feel really long so I'm really trying to hold out this time until maybe 2 days before my period but that's feels like so far away.

I feel like I might be out this cycle. I remember a very particular type of discharge before my last period and I’ve just got that again 👎🏼

@Riverofhope i‘’m not in the year + camp but I do know of lots of couples who’ve taken longer than a year but still end up conceiving.
This whole process can be so disheartening and everything feels so uncertain, I’m sending you a hug xx

Hi jumping on. First time on a TTC thread.

Hoping to start TTC Baby no 2 this month. Still BF DC1 but think I may have had my first period since having DC1 2 weeks ago so would be CD 15 today. I say think it was a period because it was a lot lighter than my periods would usually be 🤷🏽‍♀️

OPKs have been negative so far but I do have irregular cycles so can’t really predict when my fertile window is without doing the tests. Will just keep doing them every day and hopefully Ov happens soon!

Has anyone here been trying for around a year? I don’t know when to consider either IVF or accept not having children, neither of which I ever thought would be options

Really weird, I was convinced my period was starting yesterday because I had bad cramps. It’s still not started. Hmmm.
