Hello ladies

You have all been so chatty while I was at work and then doing 1 1/2 hour training after work!!! Only kidding, but I can't possibly reply to all of you!

My DP is driving me mad (in a nice way). He has gone all baby obsessed and keeps asking me about a) my luteal phase and b) when I will test this month! (It's only CD24 fgs). It's very sweet that he's so interested and I don't really mind, but god help him if he starts asking me about my CM!.....surely not???? I'm taking the advice of many I think and not testing as I don't think there's a cat in hell's chance of me getting a BFP seing as I managed to ov 3 days later than I thought so never did it at the right time (not even for recreational purposes )pmsl

Getting the plan of campaign ready for next month though.

Very jealous of the baby holding. I would LOVE to look after a baby for an afternoon! Shame I don't know anyone with any he he...

See you all later

HI All

Sorry to hear about BFN Angel but you never know. fingers crossed

Bellie hope your night out with all the pregnant people goes OK.

MJIM the crib sounds lovely.

Willmouse glad the kitten situation is sorted. I love booking holidays early to have something to look forward to. We had a lovely holiday in UK last year, but are off to Brittany this year. Would love a beach holiday in Spain really, but even low cost airlines were really expensive in school holidays. Plus we are going with my sister who will 7 months pregnant by then, so driving and getting ferry.

BB good luck for this month.

Must go DH needs help with the bath

Wow, it's been a busy day on here today!! Glad everyone is doing well. Angel, sorry about BFN, but maybe wait until AF due before testing again (we all give different advice about testing on this thread!! I'm with mjim though, early testing not good!!)

Wilmouse, how exciting you are getting the kitten after all. Please post a picture as soon as you can. When we got our cat, she was already fully grown, so we didn't get to appreciate the cute kitten stage!!

I have a scan date (at last!), of 7th May, so that is the next milestone...seems like a long time away, but no doubt it will fly!

Mr Willmouse is great on holidays - basically I pick one, he asks how much, he moans then agrees

He is also very useful when you get there eg. goes and gets papers every morning, fetches drinks, dislikes heat so is only too happy to spend day in and out of pool like a yo-yo with a four year old also loves his afternoon naps more than the boys so is more than happy to take them off back to the room for a couple of hours every afternoon......

Bellie · 15/04/2008 14:47

Willmouse - what fantastic news about the kitten!! - what has ds said!!?? You are very organised too thinking about next years holiday. I am lucky if I can get dh to think about it in Jan of the same year!
Have you got your electric sorted yet? (please tell me you are not still on hold!)

Angel - try tomorrows morning wee if you can't wait - but probably best to wait unitl Friday (if you can). Fingers crossed!

Mjim - the crib sounds gorgeous and how great that you could put a deposit down and they will hold it for you.

DD has gone back to nursery today and I have been like a manic woman - cleaning, cooking etc off to pick her up now so better get myself off of here!

Wave to everyone else and see you soon!

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2008 14:13

Blimey willmouse, you are on a roll today. Nice news about the kitten. Think I need to borrow Mr Willmouse to ensure a foreign holiday as DH not bothered so we haven't been to Spain since 2002-am desperate. No chance of going now we have a caravan and I feel so grot when PG and I would feel even worse abroad in the sun sadly. Ho hum.

MJIM-How lovely looking after a baby. Bet you are excited over the crib.

Going to get some lunch now.

Would have to cancel if heavily pregnant - although I'm not sure that travel insurance would cover Mr Willmouse would not be happy in that eventuality LOL!

Pregnant Willmouse was a sight to behold at Centerparcs when 8 months pregnant. I nearly emptied the pool!

Re kitten - my Dad is going to get a grip. We have no proof that it is going to affect him. We are going to put the cat out when he comes around and its not like we have tiny house which is going to have a high concentration of cat hair in it. Also I have done some research and found these anti-allergen wipes which if used on pets once a week greatly reduce the amount of allergy inducing dander which is omited from them (iyswim).

He only comes here once a week - we live here all the time.

God I'm really on one today

I am about to tackle the electricty company regarding the ongoing saga of our electricity bill (which we still haven't paid btw) so I am getting fired up ready

MrsPuddleduck · 15/04/2008 10:40

Morning myjob.

The crib sounds lovely. It was my one extravagance with our second and I never looked back. DS2 slept in it in our room for the full six months and it hardly took up any space (compared to a cot). I had to move DS1 out after about 6 weeks when he outgrew his moses basket as we had no room fo the cot in our bedroom at our last house.

Regarding the holiday I am taking the attitude that I cannot put my life on hold for something which may never happen. If I do have a baby I will take it with me. The worst case scenario is if we book the holiday and we can't go because I am too pregnant.

DH and I love our holiday abroad every year. We hardly go out so it is our one treat.

With DS2 we decided to go away in this country as he was 6 months old when we went. It was the worst holiday of my life - it rained and DS1 was bored. All in all I have come to the conclusion that it is fine to take babies abroad (just don't tell my health visitor!).

Morning all.

Carolyn - good to have you back! I am crossing my fingers for you.

Soosy - sounds a good decision re the house. My Mum and Dad live over the back from a family who run the local chinese takeaway and every now and then they obviously batch cook sauce and you can smell it (although its not too bad). I would be more worried about drunk people going in for chips and curry sauce at 1am!

Glad the pregnant ladies are all doing well (with the exception of the morning sickness - Ceebee - I can no longer eat Cremosa sweets as I had so many when I had ms I could vomit at the thought of them now).

HC - enjoy your day. Make sure you put your feet up for at least part of it! I can't believe we are almost in May. When we first all started it seemed like ages away!

tinkerbell and eclair - hi. I am no good on fertility friend - in fact he is no friend of mine! I would go with HC and get the ov strips as well.

Bellie - poor you going out with a load of pg people

Holiday is for 2009 - still can't decide where to go. I am in favour of Majorca (again) we are having a year off this time and are off to Lanzarote (or Rotty as DS1 calls it).

Have family coming over again this weekend (but just for a take away on Saturday night as there will be 10 of us).

Kitten update - after a week of arguments with my parents it looks like we should be getting him on Sunday.

Angel2008 · 15/04/2008 09:37

Due on Thurs. Feel really bloated, not sure what this means as don't usually feel this bloated before AF?? I could have just been eating too much though I guess! [sink]

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2008 08:47

Morning ladies

Hi tinkerbell

Sorry about the BFN Angel, when did you say AF was due? When mine was due on a Sat I got a -ve on the Tues but a feint +ive on the Weds. Maybe hold out until the day you are due on?

For those of you using OPK's I discovered some pics of testing strips on FF last night and on the OV sticks the girl had written 7pm on one test then 11pm on another (both the same day) and the 11pm had a dark line opposed to the insignificant line on the 7pm one. Anyway, when I tested at 2pm yesterday there was nothing so I did another at 10-15pm last night and there was a strong line. Soooooo, that will explain why I have never had a +ive OPK-I am testing too early in the day! Tonight I am expecting a dark, dark line.

Right, hello to everyone else. The girls at at MIL's today so must get on and make the most of the peace.

Hi guys

... well you are funny with the testing! I did indeed rush home and did a Boots test ... sadly, it was a BFN. I wonder whether the ClearBlue one was just the line getting wet if you know what I mean!! TMI. But it was SO faint. I will test again tomorrow morning (or tonight if I can't wait!). Although I have been feeling really bloated these last few days and had a few stomach cramps, so I guess it is more likely that AF is on her way. I actually want to be pregnant more than going to Oz now, since it is just a hassle trying to plan a baby around it and it delays everything. Plus it uses up 3 weeks of my holiday and the flight is going to be painful. Although I know I shouldn't complain.

Really must get to grips with what is going on with everyone else, sorry being so selfish just coming back and posting about me me me!

Bellie · 14/04/2008 21:52

evening all - another chatty day - it is great that we all have so much to talk about!!

Soosy - if you are having to think about the house, maybe it is not the 'one' - if there are some doubts you will probably find they only get worse! Not long until FET!

HC - great weight loss - it seems that you can't win - if you put a few pounds on I bet people would say have you stopped the diet . As you say hopefully you will put the weight on for all the right reasons!!

I am sorry for all you with m/s it must be so hard for you all.

Angel - it is sounding positive to me too!! Wait as long as you can and then rush back on here to let us know the outcome!!

Another of my friends announced their pregnancies today (but still feeling for me) - I am going out on Friday night - was supposed to be a boozy one but now 3 out of the 4 of us are pregnant . Hopefully their baby dust will rub off on me! cd 20 here and it feels like an enternity this month.

The names are sounding lovely - I really like Rose with Cassie.

Waves to everyone else - off to bed now (dd had me up at 3am - 'mummy I can't sleep can you sing me a lulaby !)
