sorry if I miss anyone but will try my best!

HM2J - Hope your ds is better today. That sounded horrifying and I would have panicked I'm sure.

ceebee - maybe you should test on friday with me and angel??? BFP buddies?? It all sounds a bit odd tbh

willmouse - bet you're excited about kitty! Kids and pets hey, that's going to be a full house!

BB - LOL at the BDing comments. It seems it affects the best of us hey! Good luck anyway

Angel - yes we are remarkably similar! (secretly wondering if you are actually my DP in disguise!!!! scary thought!!!)This is cycle 2. Stopped pill in Jan and had 31 day cycle so theoretically AF due on Sunday. Will definetly test Friday before going to Prague (if I can wait that long!!!!) Do you think you will get a BFP??? I hope one of us does (at least!)

Bellie, Majormoo, HC and soosy - hiya! Hope you are all OK

DS has been fine yesterday and today. When I called the GP they said he would have to do a urine sample and gave me some bottles, but as specimens are collected by the courier at 10.30am, I missed out today, so will take him tomorrow, although he yet to have an accident today? Maybe I am reading too much into things!

Yay for your kitten willmouse! I bet you will all love him.

Ceebee, Sorry to hear AF is messing you about. Grrrr!

MrsPuddleduck · 17/03/2008 14:24

Kitten was 3 weeks old on Friday so it will be about 4 1/2 weeks before we get him. He is 8 weeks on Friday 18th April but we have a houseful on the Saturday so I will probably wait until 19th when all is quiet (well quiet as it can be!). Can't wait .

Angel2008 · 17/03/2008 13:52

Ah - I see! I've seen the one with the baseball bat before aswell - brilliant!

So when are you getting your kitten, how old does it have to be before you can take it? I'm going to try and post a picture of my cat in my profile . Hope I don't sound like one of those women who is going to grow old by herself with nothing but her 50 cats for company, going around smelling of wee ..

MrsPuddleduck · 17/03/2008 13:47

It was the mean kitty song Angel (you are right about the chap - he could give the Aero man a run for his money!) - sorry if I wasn't clear but it was the first time I had ever found myself on youtube so had a good look around while I was there!

Angel2008 · 17/03/2008 13:41

Sorry it was meant to be the Mean Kitty song! Not that I am demanding you look at my links!

MrsPuddleduck · 17/03/2008 13:38

Angel, I did see your post and went on to youtube and had a good look around. I found the cartoon "The cat came back" which I remember from childhood and it really made me laugh. I also like the one of the cat waking its owner up with a baseball bat.

I do read all of the posts but by the time I have not been on all weekend it is difficult to reply to each one!

It is difficult now that there are so many of us!

ceebee74 · 17/03/2008 13:35

Lol Angel - the novelty soon wears off after you have been down the slide with them for the fifth time

HM2J, sorry, I hope your DS is okay. You must think I'm very rude! Just not very good at responding to everyone (who says women are the ones who can multi-task?!).

Ceebee, we have some friends who have a son and took him to soft play for the first time the other day, I think they were more excited than he was!

ceebee74 · 17/03/2008 13:10

HM2J ? poor poor DS ? how awful for him. What did the docs say? I cannot imagine how awful it must have been watching in agony

Willmouse ? great news about the kitten ? you must post a photo at the earliest opportunity.

No news here ? still no AF I did a test again on Saturday (I seem to have become addicted to them!) and twas a BFN again but am thinking that if Friday was an implantation bleed then how many days after
would a BFP show up? Although I am trying not to think along those lines ? unless some other obvious symptoms suddenly appear, I think I will really try not to test (haha!)

Just taken DS to soft play ? it is expensive this entertaining a toddler business isn?t it??

Hello all

Hope everyone had good weekends?

Juanitad, CONGRATS!! . That is so exciting!! And the antibiotics excuse is genius ...

Willmouse, so cool you are getting a kitten! But no-one looked at my link I posted on Friday ... I thought it was really funny (but maybe you have to have a cat already to appreciate it!)

Ceebee, sorry about your bleeding. Not sure what is going on!

Carolyn, I am on CD 22 (you start from the first day of your last period, right?). I was also thinking of testing on Friday! I think we are in similar situations, I have just come off the pill and done one cycle (28 days, although I'm not sure how reflective that is of anything, was on the pill for 15 years). Are you still BD?

Hi to everyone else! I love talking about baby names too. My favourtite for a boy is Oliver or Toby, and Charlotte or Tabitha for a girl. I also love the name Harry although our cat is called that (was called it already when I got him as a 1 year old) and DP reckons it might get confusing .. !

Just checking in ladies. My internet connection seems so slow and it has taken all morning to load this page. Hope it posts.

Morning all.

Definitely getting the kitten. We have told DS1 now so there is no going back! I even caught DH sneakily reading the kitten book I borrowed from the library yesterday!

MJIM - my favourite name is Tristan, but I do like Declan as well and absolutley love Caitlin. I love talking about baby names. My boys are William Edward and Oliver Harry and should we have another he will be Henry John, I have given up hope of having a girl (although I like Isobella, Emily, Francesca and Charlotte). I like posh names, can you tell?

It looks like the cat is going to be Eddie. I wanted to call him Rocky but DH isn't keen. I would like to call him Louis as it is my favourite boys name of all time (but sadly doesn't go with our surname).

HC - Marmalade lookes lovely.

I am dreading telling my Mum about the cat she will go mad. She hates them and my Dad is allergic.

Heartmum2Jamie · 16/03/2008 22:22

I am loving the talk of baby names and there are som lovely choices. I am not even thinking baby names right now, it is a minefield. I did have the name Ethan pop into my head though Mjim, so I quite like that, lol!

Juanitad, I'm glad you are feeling good now, I do hope it lasts and don't want to scare you, but symptoms for morning sickness usually start at 6 to 7 weeks. I am feeling slightly green around the gills today, but it probaly isn't helped by my headache. Oh, and my skin is atrocious!

I shall be taking my ds2 to the GP tomorrow as I think he may have another UTI (he had a couple as a baby). He has suddenly started having accidents everyday afer being day trained for a few months. Plus last night he was literally rolling around on the floor with tummy pain. It was heartwrenching to watch, he cried, writhed and the sweat was pooring off him even though he had/s no temp. Poor little poppet. Thankfully he has been ok today apart from 2 accidents.

soosy · 16/03/2008 21:43

LOL BB as esp true in our case! I hope you feeling better soon, sounds yukky.

Majormoo, really impressed with you doing mile today well done .

Bellie hope you get a BFP instead of tests too.

Have a good evening.

Hi all - my you have been chatty. We have just got back in from a wonderful day out. We took dd to see Angelina Ballerina (the English National Ballet). I have never seen her so mesmorised for so long. Very expensive but worth every penny to see her face

I love all the traditional names and will be chosing from the many mentioned if we have our 2nd. I think they are all making a comeback and tbh I love it!!

Juanitad - that the test showed the same!

Ceebee - are you going to test again?

Soosy - my tests are after my af finishes (so very early in the cycle) to see if the lining is still thick at this point. On cd 20 today - so fingers crossed we don't have to go back for the tests, but for an early scan instead!!

majormoo - well done for doing the mile today - I bet ds had a ball!

Willmouse - have you heard back from your friend re the kitten yet? I think the name sounds lovely!

Wave to everyone else hope you are all having a great weekend -dispite the weather!!

majormoo · 16/03/2008 16:30

Juanitad, I used to also wander around with the same glass of wine for hours when expecting DD. And also swapped glasses with DH who on a few occasions was very much worse for wear by the end of the evening.

majormoo · 16/03/2008 16:28

oooh we have an Eve (who is also an Evie-at school she has taken to spelling it Evie rather than Eve). I really liked Isaac when we found out DS was a boy but DH, who is a complete atheist, wouldn't go for another biblical name. Noah was out as well which I also really like. So we have a Milo instead.

Juanitad I really notice my skin is rubbish in early pregnancy, but fingers crossed in a few months you will be glowing.

We all did the Sport Relief mile earlier which was great fun. DS loved it.

soosy · 16/03/2008 14:42

Juanitad I just went around clutching a glass of wine and swapping it with DH's glass. It fooled quite a few people for a long time! A friend of mine has adult acne and her skin is fantastic now, she had her second baby about 4 and 1/2 months ago, but it was bad until she was about 10-12 weeks.

Ceebee strange news about af, If it doesn't come back soon will you test again?

HC LOL about opk's are you sure you are going to have enough for next month!! Mine are still sitting in the drawer!

HC - don't give away my secrets as to why DS is called Josh (DH still hasn't twigged that tbh )

Ooh baby names - one of my fave subjects. Eve and Olivia are both lovely names. I think we have decided on Georgia for a girl (although I also love Chloe, Jessica, Sophie and Ruby). Boys names I find so much harder - I thought I liked Charlie but tbh, I am going off that a little at the moment. I do really like Adam aswell but a colleague has a son called Adam and he is a real 'bad' lad so it has kinda put me off that name.

Juanitad - I completely agree about adult acne. I suffer from it badly (although it did clear up completely whilst pg and for a good 12 months afterwards so maybe yours will too ) so if I did get pg, I don't think I would notice if my skin did erupt . Glad you have not got any sickness - fingers crossed for you that you are lucky and get through without sickness

Hi to everyone else.

AF still missing in action so nothing since Friday afternoon - I have no idea about whether my last cycle as ended and if so, when does the next cycle begin? Glad I got those ov sticks as at least they might give me a clue.

Hi everyone,

The baby name debate has got me thinking now too, although maybe it's a little bit early for me!! I know that I would love Patrick for a boy - I'm from an Irish family, so would like an Irish name. Also, the reason DH and I met was our mutual friend, called Patrick, so it seems fitting!!

As for girls, I like Emily, but my best friend who had her baby on mother's day called her baby Emily, so that's off limits now. I also like Eve/Evie, but would like some other options to fall back on and can't really come up with anything I really like. I agree with you Carolyn, that being a teacher definitely puts you off certain names, if there's been a little monster with that name in one of your classes!!

I did a second pg test last night - well, there were 2 in the packet, so I thought I might as well use the other one up, just to make sure!! Same result, thank goodness!

HC, marmalade is a lovely cat. Am trying to figure out how to put a picture of my cat on, and do a link like you did, but am a computer dunce. What do I have to do?

Wilmouse, I can't wait to see a picture of your kitten when you get him. As we adopted ours from a rescue place, she was already fully grown when we got her, so we never had the fun of having a cute kitten in the house!!

Carolyn, re: the drinking thing - I know exactly what you mean. It's way too early for me to tell anyone , but I have loads of nights out coming up soon - somebody's leaving do from work this Thursday, a girls night out the week after. Don't know whether to make up some reason why I'm not drinking (I could use the old favourite - I'm on antibiotics), or whether I should not give a reason at all.

Ceebee - not really any symptoms yet, although my skin has been awful this week. My skin isn't great anyway, the teenage acne seems to have lasted and lasted with me, but I do a good job covering it up. This week however, it's been like an explosion on my face, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the hormones. This was our third cycle at TTC. We had planned to start after Christmas, and it was in January that we really started going for it, BDing as much as poss, but in December, what with the festive spirit and everything, we did BD a couple of times and decided not to use condoms, so I would count that as one cycle, even though we weren't putting all our efforts into it. The title of this thread is definitely the way to go though, as this time we went for the every other night approach and it worked!!

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all enjoying your weekends!

Sorry this has been such a long post!

carolyn1941 · 16/03/2008 10:30

morning all-hope you all had a good day. Loving the chat about the baby names. This is where being a teacher has its ups and downs as you do go off certain names if you taught a horror with that name! Of the ones you mentioned I like them all, especially Isaac, Ethan and Caitlin. tbh Caitlin is my fave girls name but as I have the initial "C" think it would have caused confusion on mail etc! Really happy you are having it! Not so keen on Declan if being totally honest, but not sure why!I teach a fab boy called Isaac. Quite like Jack but not sure how common it is??? DP has already picked out a boys name if we get pg but is a bit more flexible for a girl. Middle name will be Olivia as his Grandma is called Olive (she's 88 and absolutely mint!). He's convinced we are going to have twins anyway!OMG!!!

Glad everyone is feeling well even with the arrival of AF's and we can now look forward to another month of BDing stories!

We went to a party last night and I think people were a tad suspicious about me not really drinking! (I had a couple of half's of lager) but much less than I normally would at such an event. Noone said anything though.

yey about the cat! i love cats myself. Very happy you got him persuaded!
