Scared to test. Help please

As the title, been trying for over 10 years had all the tests etc, came back as unexplained fertility. Periods are consistently every 28 days now I've missed one and way over for this months (last was end of May). I'm too scared to test though. I know I have to or get checked out if not, I cant face another negative though. Help please

Get yourself along to your GP and request a blood test to check hcg levels. That is the best way to check given your symptoms, lack of period and mixed test results. I will hope and pray for you to have the result you're hoping for.

Have you got a gp appointment? Or possibly midwife or early pregnancy unit? GP or EPU receptionist would probably be able to tell you which was more appropriate. With no periods for that long plus other pregnancy symptoms and an ambiguous test I’d just want to check what was going on.

Sorry to hear this. I was looking at the pics you had posted on Sunday and the line didn't look right to me. Also you are not too old. I got pregnant at 40 after trying for several years so keep going on. X

Arghhhhhh, taken a couple more and all negative must have been an evape line. But still feeling sick, now really sore boobs with massive veins and burning. Thank you all though for helping me through this and pushing me to test.

It could very likely be the 'hook effect' if your at 10 weeks (usually at the peak of HcG at this time). Basically means the hcg is so high by that point tests struggle to read it as it's above the threshold they test. You can dilute your urine with water (not sure of the ratio worth googling) and you should get a stronger line. (Obviously this will only be the case if your that far along so don't panic if not! You could just be less than you think)

im also massively jealous that you’ve got to 10 weeks without knowing!!!

im 6 weeks and have felt sick since 4 weeks. I can’t eat or drink anything. It’s awful I’ve had to contact the docs this morning 😭

Aw wow, usually on these posts the OP comes back and updates and it’s always bad news.. was delighted reading your updates there to see you are actually pregnant! Congratulations 🎉 If you were 10 weeks you’d have managed to avoid so much of the waiting about of the first trimester and will have a scan in a couple of weeks already

yeah it was a lot darker earlier
