When did I ovulate - help!! :’(

is it not around the same day each month roughly? Do you do temping? I think I’m going to try that this month along with opks

I am yet to deal with working out ovulation 😭 I tried opk sticks this month but didn’t really know what I was doing so it was a bit of a half arse attempt. I naively assumed that because I’ve been pregnant so many times previously without trying it would just happen first go and be easy 🙈

I am going to try and determine ovulation day this month but other than that I’m going to just try and chill and see what happens. Easier said than done though I’ll prob be back on here next month 😂

It’s only the first month of trying. i just need to figure out exactly when I ovulate in future so I know where I’m up to in the tww

@HopefullMumto4 i done a clear blue early detection this morning because I had one lying around (I don’t trust them unless it’s a strong positive) and it give an evap line. I then done a clear and simple early detection which was negative. I think regardless of when I ovulated it would be showing something on an early detection test by now. I know some people don’t get a bfp until after af is due but I feel like it would be unlikely and I’d just be clutching at straws clinging to that hope.

AF would be due today if I was on a 28 day cycle. No sign of it yet, the cramping has stopped. I did have ewcm earlier when I wiped, which had a small amount of streaks of red blood in. This is not something I’ve ever noticed before. There has been nothing since.

@HopefullMumto4 I’ve done another test since then and it was complete bfn. I’m not holding much hope at this point, just waiting for AF to arrive now.

It wasn’t really an issue for me waiting for ovulation because it was my first month, This tww has opened up a whole new world for me and it has consumed me. I can’t be obsessing the way I have this month every month. I think I will just try and forget about it and leave it to nature in future.

I’ve had a word with myself these past few days 😂 I’ve had to sit down and ask myself are these symptoms real or is my brain tricking my body, or do I get them every month and just didn’t notice. I swear my partner thinks I’m having an affair because I’m constantly on my phone but I’m really just reading mumsnet threads and googling stuff and don’t want him to know I’ve turned into a crazy ttc woman 🙈

Cramps seem to have gone now. I’ve had a shadow of a line this morning, not getting my hopes up though as it’s so faint. I will re-test tomorrow if AF doesn’t show up.

If this is a 31 day cycle I would likely be around 10 dpo today. If it is a 28 day AF would be due tomorrow.

Still a bfn for me. Pain in my nipples and nausea on and off through out the day, in addition to some other symptoms. The cramps have gotten worse to the point that I’ve taken pain killers.

i usually have awful cramps on the day of my period, never before. AF has never arrived early either.

just keeping the post updated, it drives me mad reading through pages and pages on a thread and then getting to the end and there being no update 🙈

@HopefullMumto4 i just used cheap ones from home bargains. I naively thought it would be plain sailing to check for ovulation 🙈 I’ll get better ones next month and think I’m going to try temping as well. AF could be due any time from next Sunday - Wednesday I don’t want to be guessing like this again next month. I’ve had another BFN today, got some vey mild cramps right now which I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I was symptom spotting. I don’t usually get AF symptoms before due day, everything just usually hits me like a train on the day.

the weirdest thing that’s been happening is really weird vivid dreams. I dreamt last night I was hiding in a bush from my Nan 🙈 the night before I was in a lift that was going really fast but the doors wasn’t shut so I could see all the levels as it past then and I was planning to jump out but was scared that I’d get chopped in half. That’s just some examples it’s been happening every night, feel like I haven’t been to bed when I wake up because my dreams are chaos.

@Ttcmumma aw I don’t know how you have coped. This is my first tww and it’s consuming me, I couldnt imagine going through this cycle for that long. At least you have your BFP now, that must have been a relief. Congratulations to you and I hope all goes well for you!

I am planning to do what I can to predict ovulation next month and if it still hasn’t happened I’ll just go with the flow and what will be will be. This would be my partners first, he’s desperate for a baby so I haven’t mentioned any potential symptoms to him because I don’t want to get his hopes up. He thinks he may have a problem with his swimmers and I am worrying that I’m on a downward hill with my fertility because of my age.

@Ttcmumma thank you, I guess I’ll just have to wait this one out. It was my first time using opk tests so I was only just discovering how it all works. I have got a better idea now for next month if I am out this month. Hopefully I will be able to determine the right day next time.

i dtd covering all potential days so it is just a case of waiting for af. So far any tests I have done have been BFNs.

I will keep this post updated incase anyone else is in the same position as me in the future.

@HopefullMumto4 my two older ones have 10 months between them it was hard work when they were babies 🙈 theyve grown up to be really close though.

surprisingly none of my pregnancies have been planned, they’ve all been a result of failed contraception etc but I’ve always known I was pregnant before it was confirmed. The suspected molar pregnancy was a result of not dtd for over a week to avoid the fertile period. I had no symptoms and only tested because my period was a week late. I was so surprised that I didn’t feel pregnant at all so I paid for an early scan because I just knew something wasn’t right. The scan confirmed my suspicions and I went to epu. The whole ordeal went on for months I had a coil fitted to avoid going through the same process again but have now had it taken back out.

so this is the first time in my life that I am actively trying to conceive and I can’t believe how agonising the tww is. I really feel for all the couples who have done this month after month for a long period of time. I am beginning to worry that my age is now against me.

@Ttcmumma thank you, would you say the pic I posted is a positive opk? That was on the 25th July which would make me 9dpo today.

the two photos I’ve attached here where taken on 19th and 21st and are a lot lighter. I think I may have ovulated later and this could be another 31 day cycle.

if it is a 28 day cycle that would mean I am 4 days away from AF and still testing BFP with an early test.

I am just trying to figure out if I am likely to be out this month or if there is still hope.

@Ttcmumma what test did you use to get your BFP?

@Ttcmumma that measures very closely with the day I had ovulation symptoms. If that is the case for me then I am likely to be out for this month. It is only my first month of me ttc though.

@HopefullMumto4 mine are 15, 14 and 10. I’ve had some miscarriages since them. I had what I was told was a molar a few months ago but it turns out it wasn’t a molar. The only time I’ve had no symptoms was the suspected molar, I was gob smacked when I seen the BFP because I didn’t expect it at all. How old are yours?
