@Belles28 he is adorable!! Look at his hair, beautiful boy.
can’t believe he’s pulling to stand already, strong boy.
it’s so much easier when they eat everything you give them, my daughter def was not that way and actually ended up needing baby sensory cartoons to eat anything for a while thankfully she is muchhhhj better now she’s 5! lol.
oh no way, but you know what, it doesn’t last forever so savour those extra bed cuddles while you’re getting them!!

Belles28 · 22/02/2025 09:42

Oh forgot to mention that my perfect little sleeper is now in our bed at some point every night 🤣🥲

@Rosieposie0301 what a gorgeous poppet! 🫶🏽 can't believe he's 8.5m, time flies anyway let alone with your second baby ☹️

@Foreverhopeful23 wow he really has put a shift in there, chunky boy! 🥰 glad to hear he's thriving 🩵

Olsen is 10m, 24lbs, has been crawling since 9m - pulling to stand but still very unsteady once up. He also LOVES every bit of food he can get his chubby paws on 🤣 nothing like my daughter who heaved at the slightest texture. He still only has 2 teeth (top 4 are about to cut but my goodness are they taking their friggin time) but it doesn't stop him munching!

He is on the 97th centile for his weight, length & head circumference 🤣🤣🤣 so funny! x

Rosieposie0301 · 22/02/2025 08:55

@Foreverhopeful23 nonway that’s amazing he went to the 50th! I’m doing a mix of feeding him and letting him do baby lead as well, he’s so good with hand coordination. My daughter wasn’t great until much older so it’s fascinating to see. He is able to take his own bottles now for the last month. My daughter never ever did her own bottle lol! It’s so handy.

he will be cruising the furniture before you know it, exciting! Jacob was 21lbs 2 weeks ago lol! He’s such a big boy. He’s on 75th centile. Can’t believe they’re our last babies!!

Foreverhopeful23 · 22/02/2025 07:41

@Rosieposie0301 no I can't belive it , time is just absolutely flying by . He also loves all food , we are loving baby lead weaning , he started at 6 months, it's not something I did with my others . He's made up for being tiny born as was 9th gentile but now 50th . He's currently 20lbs , crawls , started pulling himself up this week , waiting for the furniture cruising to start . It's definitely so much easier before they are on the move haha xx

@Foreverhopeful23 ahhh can you believe he’s going to be 1?! Time goes way too quickly. My husband is on the waitlist for a vasectomy lol so def no more for us! But it’s so sad to know I won’t ever have another newborn baby. Think that’s why I’m really soaking in every single thing with Jacob!

Rosieposie0301 · 22/02/2025 07:31

@Belles28 ahh so lovely to hear from you! Everything brilliant with us, Jacob is 8.5 months now, rolling and sitting up but not crawling just yet. I’m kind of glad, makes it much easier him not being on the move lol. He’s my big gorgeous boy, He eats absolutely everything I give him, he hasn’t refused anything so that has made weaning and trying new foods really fun this time around.

I know that can change in an instant so I’m enjoying it while he’s being so good with it lol.

how are you??

im still off work for another few months, so just savouring our time together.

He's on the 9th centile for his weight, he was small born . X

Rosieposie0301 · 11/08/2024 19:14

@Belles28 omg he is GORGEOUS! ❤️

so good to hear these boys all love a good sleep, let’s all hope that continues lol. I just worry one day it’ll change even tho it was the exact same with my daughter. She slept through really young too and was on a great routine by 11w old. Just feel I can’t have got so lucky a second time but let’s hope I have!

I won’t be surprised if Jacob is similar in terms of weight as Olsen, he’s such a wee chunky monkey. I love it.

I cannot believe you went through that with him, I would be so traumatised from something like that. The fact you had to do CPR is so scary, poor you!! What were his symptoms of whooping cough? Jacob developed a cough last week and was almost like choking with it but that only really lasted two days and now he seems fine thankfully.. I was so worried. X

Rosieposie0301 · 11/08/2024 19:10

@Foreverhopeful23 what centile is he for weight? Jacob was weighed at 6w and was 10lbs14oz!! He’s getting weighed again on Wed when he will be 10w old. I’m so intrigued to see what he will be.

was he 7w when he started doing 12h in the night, like a 7-7? I just put Jacob to bed there and I’m so nervous to see if he will wake anytime before 10/11pm or if that will be him properly until morning eek!

can’t believe he is already starting to sit up that’s brilliant! X

Foreverhopeful23 · 11/08/2024 13:48

Oh gosh @Belles28 that sounds absolutely terrifying , so glad he's OK and your coming out the other side x

OP posts:
Belles28 · 11/08/2024 10:52

Oh I forgot mention - Olsen has just come out the other side of whooping cough. It was horrific & unfortunately a bit traumatic. Long story short he stopped breathing twice, one of which I had to perform CPR on him. 2 hospital stays & 7 weeks later we're out the other side & he's smashed it, doing so well & no further complications since the apneas xx

Belles28 · 11/08/2024 10:48

@Rosieposie0301 oh look at that gorgeous boy! So lush that he's so content, like @Foreverhopeful23 says, Olsen was exactly the same! Started sleeping through about 4 weeks & continued to sleep ALL day to the point that I worried. But as you say, gained weight etc beautifully. So much so in fact that he now weighs 17lbs at 17wks 🤣🐷 I'd say it's only the last few weeks he's actually been awake for the average time that he should be for his ages so naps are becoming more routine. He goes down somewhere between 6:30pm-8pm & doesn't wake up before 7:30am! These boys obvs just love a good snooze 🥰🙏🏽

Olsen also isn't rolling either Forverhopeful, his body is trying but he won't lift his head up to complete the manoeuvre, lazy 😂 & a lot like James, he's just so happy & giggly it's just lush. He's learned to screech 🥲 also my last baby but I feel like he wants to grow up so much faster than I'm ready for! Love that all the babies are thriving xxx

Hi ladies , going great thank you , James is 20 weeks tomorrow , he was 13lb 7 last week .
@Rosieposie0301 James was exactly like that , he was about 7 weeks old when he started sleeping through the night yet still slept loads in the day . It's only been the last probably 2 weeks that he's been awake more in the day , but he's meeting milestones , gaining weight etc so all is good .

He smiles lots , laughs which is adorable , starting to sit up , strong on his legs but still not rolling , he has no interest in rolling , he's happy just laying there haha . He babbles continuously and just a generally happy baby , he's my last as I was sterilised during my c section so I'm just thoroughly e joying every second .

@Belles28 ahh no way I love that lol!
Jacob is 9w old now and still sleeps like he’s a newborn… to the point I’m googling if it’s ok lol. Last night he did 640pm-640am!! No feeds cuz he point blank refused to wake up and take any even tho I tried for a good hour. Have HV Wednesday so going to check this is normal. He sleeps most of the day as well still… waiting on his wake windows getting longer but it hasn’t happened yet! He’s growing and feeding loads during the day and gaining weight so hoping all is ok and he just loves his sleep lol. He’s such a big boy already I can’t believe it!

how are you getting on??

Awww congratulations @Rosieposie0301 he's absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe how fast time is going by . My little bundle is 11 weeks old today ! And was 10lb exactly on Friday. He sleeps through the night, he's pretty chilled out and a happy baby.

@Belles28 yes definitely a second pregnancy thing cuz with my first i loved every second right to the end and was never overly uncomfortable.

oh no way i am so glad all is ok and they were able to look after you properly this time round. that sounds like it could have been so painful!!

oh no way that is a VERY fast labour, im sure you were so glad though - the quicker the better lol!

i know isnt it so mad that all babies are here?! Crazy to think i had my miscarriage and if i hadnt have had that i wouldnt have my little Jacob - truly believe he was meant for me.

Belles28 · 10/06/2024 09:43

@Rosieposie0301 I feel you, second pregnancies are way tougher - I remember reaching 37wks & thinking please come today!

Oh my goodness what a scrumptious boy! Look at proud big sis there too, so sweet 🥹 & how lush that he's sleeping like that! Getting up once is a dream, what a clever boy Jacob 🥰

So glad you're feeling good, makes a difference. I had a 2nd degree with my daughter & was in quite a bit of pain however this time I felt nothing! apparently that's the difference between being sewn up well & not so well. So I guess I didn't get put back together very good the first time lol. I've had to see a physio & a consultant because it was a grade 3B (went through over 50% of the sphincter!!!!) but all is spot on!

My waters broke pretty violently at 10:15pm on the wednesday (I thought my bladder had snapped it was so painful). Had poo in my waters so went straight in, arrived at 11pm, was 10cm by 1:30am Thursday morning, he arrived 2 pushes & 6 minutes later 🙈 the combination of his weight & the speed of the delivery contributed to the severity of the tear apparently.

So glad your little man is here safe & sound. Just can't believe all 3 babas are here considering this thread was started nearly a year ago! Crazy x

Rosieposie0301 · 10/06/2024 09:22

@Belles28 omg look at him he is absolutely gorgeous!! Look at the hair!!

no, we didn’t know. Such a brilliant surprise.

yes was spontaneous labour, I was so ready tho as I was getting really uncomfortable the last couple weeks. Contractions started 1130pm Wednesday night and was in active labour from around 4am and he was born 8.04am Thursday.

brilliant news about him sleeping through the night already, makes such a diff when you can get a proper night sleep. Jacob sleeps all day and all night. I actually have to wake him every 4 - 5 hours in the night to feed him but I’m timing it nicely where we sleep from 10.30pm, I wake him around 3am for a feed and then we sleep right up until about 8am. So only one night feed. I’ll stop doing that once he gets back to his birth weight and it’ll be interesting to see how long he goes on his own without me waking him!

Oh no way 3rd degree, were you in pain for long after? I had a 2nd degree tear, same as I had with my daughter. But I never get any pain at all down there, I didn’t with my daughter either. Counting myself lucky lol. I do have a catheter tho unfortunately… have to keep it in 2 weeks so that’s a pain.

Belles28 · 10/06/2024 09:03

@Rosieposie0301 omg the year of the boys! You didn't know what you were having either did you? Ahhh such lush news & congratulations - was it spontaneous labour? what a treat 3wks early 🥰

He's all good, almost too big for 0-3m clothes when he's not even 2m old 😆 the most chilled baby ever & sleeping through the night (gonna enjoy that while it lasts!). I just can't believe how fast it's going 😔 i'm thoroughly enjoying having the two of them & big sis is also obsessed!

He makes me want another when i thought i was done 🤣 but the third degree tear after a 3hr labour & ridiculously fast delivery says otherwise! Haha xx

@Belles28 ahhh so lovely to hear from you. Glad to hear Olsen is getting on well. How are you feeling 9w in?

I had my baby boy, Jacob, on Thursday. 3w1d before his due date. I am absolutely besotted with him as is his big sister! He weighed 7lbs13oz, dread to think what he would have been had I gone full term. I had another lovely labour and birth, quick again which is just what I was hoping for!!

currently living in newborn bliss x
