@LacedBouquet thank you I will check them out!

@h0lly88 sorry I can't be more help but the food tasting weird thing definitely happened to me before I found out I was pregnant.

@Kellyaust it's such an emotional rollercoaster 🤍 I had a faint line last cycle followed by negatives and I was gutted. I think the best thing is really not to test early, I know that is so hard to do in real life tho xx

Stark white bfns this morning 😓

HelloMoon87 · 18/08/2023 08:21

@Kellyaust how is it looking this morning? Fx for you!!

@h0lly88 why does the app say ovulation is happening so close to your period? Are you doing opks?

LacedBouquet · 17/08/2023 22:21

@Mango30 It was called Nova Fertility and I saw it recommended on mumsnet! I think I got it though because I’ve had 2 confirmed chemical pregnancies and 1 additional suspected chemical pregnancy (I was on holiday without tests and bled for 10 days). All of this has been in my last 3 cycles trying. So with the short luteal phases and repeated loss it made sense to try progesterone first 😊

h0lly88 · 17/08/2023 16:04

Hey everyone! I've been watching this thread for a while and just wanted to share my situation as I'm overthinking so much and would love to hear your thoughts.

I'm 28F new to trying, this is my 3rd month, my periods are usually like clockwork and my cycles are 28-29 days long. My period was due a few days ago and I'm now on Day 32 with no sign of it, I usually have some light spotting the day before it arrives but that isn't here yet.
Only symptoms I've been having is some of my favourite things tasting strange & for the past 5 days iv had left ovary twinges.

My app says I ovulated on the 3rd, but honestly it could probably be a couple days off & I'm not 100% sure on ovulation day.

No lifestyle changes or anything, but every test I have taken has been negative so far. Anyone else been in a similar situation?

xx

Kellyaust · 17/08/2023 15:54

I'm 99% sure this is an evap on a one step... Never had one before. What do you think? I know it was way too early to test but I caved fmu 🤦‍♀️ next to an opk for comparison.

@LacedBouquet wow that's great, I really hope it does the trick for you this cycle! 🤞🌈

It's so dependent on the doctor you get, I went to a private fertility clinic and they said the 11 days is no problem, even though lots of stuff online makes me think otherwise (shouldn't google but I do!)
how did you find one that does zoom?

LacedBouquet · 17/08/2023 12:17

@Mango30 Thank you!
And yes- my luteal phase is only 8 days so the doctor thinks that’s why I keep losing the pregnancies.

11 days is much better than 8 but slightly short of ideal so might be worth exploring!

I got a private zoom fertility appointment and had the progesterone prescribed privately x

Mango30 · 17/08/2023 11:48

Sorry to hear about your chemical @LacedBouquet 🤍
please can I ask whether your progesterone is related to your luteal phase? I've been a bit worried as my luteal phase is only 11 days at most and heard it can help

LacedBouquet · 17/08/2023 10:34

Thanks @HelloMoon87 and @missmae 😊

I’m taking from 3DPO so start tomorrow! I’ve also been prescribed folic acid 5mg to start from BFP and baby aspirin from 6 weeks if I ever get that far 🤞🏻

HelloMoon87 · 17/08/2023 10:26

Ah that's great @LacedBouquet . Do you take progesterone before or after bfp? I have everything crossed for you! 💚

missmae · 17/08/2023 10:22

@LacedBouquet ah that’s brill, I’m keeping everything crossed for you that this cycle is the one!!🤞🏼🙏🏼💖

LacedBouquet · 17/08/2023 09:52

I haven’t been on since my chemical a couple weeks back and omg I’m sooooo pleased to see all your lovely BFPs!! 😍 what a lucky thread this has become! Congrats to you all 💕

I managed to get progesterone prescribed privately and thankfully despite the chemical I ovulated bang on time so I’m now 2DPO! Super excited to try progesterone with this cycle, will start it tomorrow! 😊

ttcthoughts · 16/08/2023 06:32

@HelloMoon87 yes it was fully dry by that point :)

@Mango30 Sorry auto correct Meditation, but I have also started taking Vit D, Folic Acid and Iron and my mood has increased sooo much!

Mango30 · 15/08/2023 22:44

@ttcthoughts that sounds like a good routine. What kind of medication do you mean? I've heard some people say that sertraline can help with low moods and anxiety.

@HelloMoon87 thats such a good work benefit!

HelloMoon87 · 15/08/2023 21:36

@ttcthoughts is it fully dried? It looks very much positive!

@Mango30 I got tv scan and semen analysis free from work employee benefit that luckily just showed up last year. But thrombosis and thyroid, I begged my GP to get it for me.

opk update do you think that’s this is my peak???

ttcthoughts · 15/08/2023 19:23

@Mango30 i get that. I’m sorry to hear you are not doing too well.
For exercise we have a peloton bike which I try and do only 20-40 a couple of times a week. I have taken up medication though and I have found my mental health has improved soo much

Mango30 · 15/08/2023 18:29

@Janeykat @ttcthoughts and @HelloMoon87 sorry to hear you've all been through the same/similar, it's awful! Solidarity with anyone else who's been through/going through this too 🤍

@Janeykat congratulations on your pregnancy, your story gives me hope! I've decided to try no caffeine and alcohol this cycle too as I feel like my sad wines haven't been helping.

@ttcthoughts I'm pretty low to be honest, and really particularly bad on AF week. It's been worse after the second loss. I deal with my emotions by running long distances but I think I might be adding even more stress on my body so need to find a new way of working it all out. Any tips welcome!

@HelloMoon87 wow that's good you had all those, did your docs offer you the tests? Mine won't offer unless I have another mc, and it's too expensive to go private for me.

HelloMoon87 · 15/08/2023 14:03

@Doodlestar congrats, great news! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy 💚

@Mango30 similar story here, 2 early miscarriages at 5 weeks in Feb and May. I did have tv scan, semen analysis for partner, thyroid/thrombosis tests after them. TV scan was not very useful, it checked for lining and potentially any issues, they said it all looks "fine". I was told by the doctor at the time to try baby aspirin and progesterone in future cycles, as "they can't hurt". There are more tests to do, but I was also told that I got unlucky if these basic tests come back ok

ttcthoughts · 15/08/2023 12:25

@Doodlestar such a good positive congratulations :)

@Mango30 your story is exactly the sames mine chemical in jan then MC in june. how are you feeling after them?

cth96 · 15/08/2023 12:18

The line on the Boots test was an indent as I suspected. LH was quite high again last night with a flashing smiley on CB so I don't know if I'm ovulating after it failed the first time when I got my static smiley or it's just fluctuation. Had a tiny show of pale pink CM/blood today too - could be ovulation bleeding or implantation bleeding - so confused 😞 Just going to wait and see what happens over the next few days.

Huge congrats on your bfp @Doodlestar! This thread has been wonderful to be part of - so many bfps!

Janeykat · 15/08/2023 11:27

Hi @Mango30 Im very sorry for your losses and hope you are feeling ok xxx

I have a similar story, I had a chemical in February and a miscarrage at 6 weeks in June. Im currently 4 weeks pregnant so its a big mixture of emotions!

I did get a transvaginal scan after my miscarrage-- it was mostly to check that my womb was clear and they checked the thickness of the lining. It was reasurring in a way that nothing was obviously wrong but I dont think it can give much information. They advised me that my partner should also be taking folic acid but that was it really.

This cycle I cut out all caffine and alcohol, I also started taking 75mg of aspirin every evening after ovulation. Ive no idea if that helped get my bfp but it makes me feel like I am doing something. Im seeing my doctor on Thursday and hoping they can refer me for an early scan🤞🤞

Best of luck to you, I hope it all goes really well xxx
