Diege · 03/03/2008 19:42

Evening! Birthday plans sound great . I remember doing the full thing with dd1 (coordinating 'themed' tableware, loads of guests big and small, while I swanned around looking glam in my Isabella Oliver pregnant with dd2 . Cue dd2's first birthday, and it was a few of the rellies over for a sandwich, and dd1s birthday candles. DD3?? She's still waiting and she's nearly 2 and a half .
Mmmm, tea...well I am offically back on Slimming World, so it's the good old baked potato, beans and sausages!! Yummm [diege dreams of roast chicken...)

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 19:14

That sounds great cal, I will get balloons and cake (it wouldn't be a party with out cake). Good luck tomorrow i will be thinking of you.

calsworld · 03/03/2008 19:09

It took me ages to click the post button then and you've all been busy whilst I was dithering...

I thought that post was odd and sort of, well, not normal - thanks for explaining K!

LL, K - for DS birthday I didn't bother with balloons coz didn't think he's pay them any attention, but a couple of weeks later we went to another first birthday party and they had them and all the babes loved them - although some of the children were a few months older.

For DS, we had a load of babes and their mums and a few dads over, had an ENORMOUS cake from Costco which was super yummy, personalised and good value. Got all his toys out and the kids just ran riot. Everyone said I was brave for having it at home but it worked just fine and I'd be happy to do it at home again. Be nice to have a summer party next time though - DS birthday is 1st Dec.

Now, better get on and post this before subject changes!!

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 19:09

Ooooh, I cant wait to find out Cal!!!

calsworld · 03/03/2008 18:59

Right, having been clear of dodgy 'episodes' since this morning, I have braved the outside world for a while today and purchased some wonderfully cheap (by comparison) tests from Tesco. Its says that they test from 25mIU/mL which is the same as the clear blue one I was using. I didn't know that HcG levels double approx every three days - we'll see what the morning brings. Don't expect a post much before 8 though!

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 18:56

I can't believe how quickly this last year has gone.

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 18:54

thanks for that

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 18:51

Well he is being christened on the Sunday before so we're just having the party afterwards as a joint christening/birthday party.

There are some good balloons and stuff here

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 18:46

I know me too. Are you getting the first birthday one's? I dont really know what to do for the party really. Just get her toys out i suppose!!! What are you doing????

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 18:44

Olivia has posted on loads of threads instead of paying the proper fee to ask to talk to the people who use MN.

I need to order some balloons and stuff for ds's birthday.

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 18:40

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 18:39

Right I am off home now. Has anyone "seen" BB recently? I havent heard from her in ages, unless I have just missed her posts? She is supposed ttc end of this month, so she is the first one of us to actually reach her waiting date!!

Oh and Cosmos, have missed you again as your obviously at work. Glad the new job is going well. My friend has def fallen on her feet with mat pay but she does a "proper" job for an evil multinational consultancy, so she works damn hard for it.

Enjoy your dinners everyone. Bye

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 17:47
