TTC baby #2 - Two week wait

Hi everyone ☺️ We’re trying to conceive baby number two and I’m currently in the two week wait. This is only my first cycle of trying but my little girl was a complete surprise so I’m feeling quite anxious about the whole thing, the whole waiting to test is killing me 🙈 Just wondered if anyone else is in the same boat? I’m about 4dpo according to my app, I haven’t tested for ovulation so not 100% sure but I’m usually pretty regular, due on my period 20th July. Xx

@katie416 yeah I'm May, wierdly it's the exact same due date as my little girl but she was induced 2 weeks early, she thinks it's going to arrive for her birthday 😂

@Bex4567 sort of 2nd cycle but didn't really 'try' until that one, we'd only started discussing it the 1st cycle. Good luck x

Hi everyone! First of all, congrats to all those expecting! My period is due today and the anxiety is giving me insomnia. We've been trying since July and I was so excited but then had a cancer scare, which turned to an endometriosis diagnosis (after nearly a decade of symptoms and annual tests/scans). While I felt some relief for a time, the reality of the diagnosis sunk in and I have been a mess ever since. I'm really wanting another baby (got pregnant first time with DS) so I'm finding this rather depressing.
It's been a very difficult year for me and my family and I was just hoping this would be the one 'easy' thing for us. I realise it hasn't been long trying but with having to also manage the severity of my symptoms, I just don't know if I can mentally go through cycles of BFNs every month. Sorry for the downer of an into but I just needed to let it out.

Hi all, saw this thread getting some activity again so joining as just started ttc baby no 2. Son just turned 2, and we had a miscarriage last Christmas. Life got in the way this year so this is 2nd cycle TTC our 2nd x

Congrats to all those who have since found out you're pregnant!

Oh bless you hope you’re feeling better? I can’t remember Covid itself ever messing up my cycles but the jabs deffo did. I was settling back into a normal cycle again and then they completely messed them up, as I waited until I’d given birth to my little girl to have my first one as I was too scared of anything going wrong but that’s a controversy in itself 😂
I can imagine!! I read somewhere the other day that even if you time it completely right it’s still only a 1 in 4 chance you’ll actually conceive and it can take a couple with normal fertility upto a year to get pregnant! I think I’ll gone completely insane 😩😂 x

we’ve both had COVID over the last couple weeks so I’m conscious it’s going to have an affect on my this cycle!
fingers crossed for you, I’m starting to get to the stage where it’s just annoying now! X

Oohh good luck @Lollipop96! I would love for it to be implantation bleeding but I think it’s a little early for that yet? Think I only ovulated yesterday so would not implant until at least next weekend? 🤔 I’m wondering if it’s because I’m not used to so much action!! Pmsl x

Hey @katie416 ! I’m the exact position of you but a little earlier should be positive for ovulation in the next couple of days so fingers crossed!

Hey ladies. Anyone back here for another cycle?? I’m 1dpo today I believe. Cycle #2 of trying. Started OPK’s this cycle and I got my peak on Thursday. Have bd every night since Tues so fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I’ve come across SMEP so going to bd again tonight, miss tomorrow and then again Monday.
For some reason I’ve had a bit of spotting / pinky blood streaked cm today so not sure if this means I’m out or not already?? I know you can get ovulation bleeding but I thought it was supposedly because of a drop in hormones so surely that’s not good if trying to get preg? 😂x

Argh @katie416 don't be too hard on yourself it's emotionally draining ttc.
This was my first month using opks and it worked for me ( I also stopped taking pregnacare)
Got my fingers crossed next month is your month and everyone else on the thread!

I’m feeling pretty rubbish as AF is here I’ve had some spotting and it usually always happens like this so deffo know I’m out now! I knew I was earlier in the week but was still holding out hope I think.
Think I need to get a bit of a grip because it’s only the first try. Just think I’m worried bcos it happened so easily last time 🤣 x

I caved.
I POAS this afternoon. I was staying so strong and wasn't going to test.
After feeling literally in my gut I wasn't last week. And literally no symptoms all week... this came up straight away

@katie416 are you feeling better today?
I held off testing today I didn't want thr disappointment of a bfn.
My gut last week said not this month.
But this week nothing. I don't even have my week of really sore/sensitive nipples before af. My other symptoms don't usually start 24/48 hrs before but still nothing.
I feel like I have another week before af is even due because I literally feel nothing

It does sucks though. af makes me cry even when I wasn't ttc. It's 10x worse now.
