TTC July 2023

I caught DH's sickness bug which has totally messed up my BBT chart and symptom spotting (high temperatures and nausea, anyone?)!

However, I am still shamelessly symptom spotting and have had some interesting cervical mucus... if I recall correctly, I had more cervical mucus than usual at this point in my cycle with my previous successful pregnancies... I'm currently varying between slightly milky, slightly creamy yellow and slightly stretchy (definitely not late ovulation, I had a very clear peak and I've tested since just in case). Apparently this can be an indicator of successful conception 🤞 Just got to keep fingers crossed that if I've conceived, implantation will successfully occur... apparently sickness bugs can cause an "inflammatory response" and this one has hit me hard (haven't eaten properly since Wednesday morning and I still have symptoms). Trying to stay hydrated, at least!

I guess time will tell... I hate the TWW!

@jadeyjade8 is your due date a March or April date? long to go until your first scan that’s exciting! X

@jadeyjade8 i think it would deffo be nice to have them first and then you’ve like conquered it in one go and don’t know any difference of just having one 🤣 as one to two is a jump and then one to three well jesus haha! Good luck, how many weeks are you now? Xx

Yeah everyone I have spoken to have said they couldn't cope with twins but with it being my first I imagine it won't be as bad as I won't know any different haha. I have my first scan booked for 2 weeks today! 😁

@jadeyjade8 i will definitely keep the thread updated! When I had my first I said I wouldn’t mind twins but now I’m like no I don’t know how I will cope 🤣 my little girl is 21 months nearly. If everything contains to go well I will definitely be going for an early scan because our chance of twins is high x

I see it! It looks like the positive I had at 8dpo and mine wasn't an early one either! May be twins 😉. Congratulations!

@CatiaR thank you!! Hope it continues I will wait til Sunday test with a more sensitive and maybe a digital and then I will contact the doctors as I need to medicate once BFP is clear! X

Morning ladies, I think I am approx 9dpo obviously I’ve had to test…. Can you guys see what I can 👀
it is really such a squinter.. I saw on the cheap test a shadow first then I did a first response but it is not the early one!! The silly ones from Amazon.
trying to not get my hopes up/going mad but hard after my miscarriage May/June time. The first response is more pink when I shine the light.

Aww no! Didn’t realise how many women actually suffered from pcos before coming on here. I’m not really sure of the symptoms but do know that’s it’s hard only from little snippets I’ve read others have expressed. @Ncl31

@Underthesea88 thank you, a difficult time but he is back with my gran where he wanted to be.
I’ve felt dreadful all day today, tired and headache but not sure if that’s just the lead up to AF, my app says I’m due Monday but with PCOS I’m just not sure.

So I’m on holiday at the moment and threw up the night before last…..I got excited by this because I thought omg this is morning sickness! Period came today- definite low point getting excited about throwing up. Turns out that I just ate some dodgy food.

Got to laugh at the things that go through your head whilst ttc!

@Ncl31 I'm sorry about your Grandad, you must have been very special to him, it's amazing how people hold on like that (my own Grandpa did the same to make sure he saw us and then passed the same day). You must be going through such a mix of emotions (congratulations on getting married - it would be wonderful if you have a honeymoon baby!), do make sure you look after yourself.

I hope this cycle is successful for you - it sounds as though the timing has a good chance of working if you were able to DTD on the day of your peak🤞

@Poppins2016 fingera crossed those little swimmer do their magic. We missed the day before my peak as my grandad passed away that day. DH didn’t want to suggest anything and I didn’t feel up to it, he did ask the next day if I wanted to give this cycle a miss completely. Grandad wouldn’t want that I know he wouldn’t. He waited until we got back from honeymoon to see us and then he passed that evening after we’d been in. He was completely with it up until then.
hopefully there was enough DTD on honeymoon and then the day after grandad died I used the Fertilily cup and TMI * but when I removed it there was slight blood staining so I’m hoping that was ovulation.
If we get a positive then it’s definitely a sign from him. 8DPO today I stupidly done an IC which was obviously a BFN.

Ha, not sure what a D&B bug is! I meant D&V!

Sadly DH isn't up for activity today (he has a D&B bug, bleurgh), but hopefully itl be fine...

My last pregnancy was conceived as a result of DTD the day of the OPK peak/before ovulation, so I'm hopeful... but well aware that I'm older now and chances will probably be a little slimmer!

We've also covered our bases in the days preceding, so hopefully there are some little swimmers up there. Cervical mucus is very much the non fertile stuff now, so just got to keep fingers crossed and enter the TWW patiently!

@Poppins2016 dtd today too if you can! When I last got pregnant it was from the day after static smiley on my clearblue
