Hi I'm brand new to Mumsnet. I'm 26 TTC for first baby, been trying a couple of months, was on pill for 8 years before this so appreciate it will likely take some time. Found waiting for af a bit tough last month, tested a lot. I know most people have much longer waits before positive test but would love to share the journey with others. Hope this is the right forum for this!

Same here! So disappointing! But we try again!

Gedwards25793 · 11/10/2023 19:02

Been TTC for two months. Came off the pill in May 2023, withdrawal bleed June 2023, period in July 2023, August 2023 and September 2023. All of which have been very light. Dark brown blood, some little blood clots and red blood but not enough to fill a regular tampon or pad.

Was on the combined pill for the last 7 years. Had my bloods done and all normal including all hormones.

I am worried that my uterine lining is not thick enough for implantation?

using natural cycles app and lh tests and taking temperature so I am fairly sure of when ovulation is.

Anyone else have this issue or know how I can perhaps increase my uterine lining or whether this would be a problem?

Kirstee123 · 11/10/2023 18:12

So on first response today negative. And I'm pretty sure it would have picked up at 10dpo! Nevermind try again next month!

Hi I know this is a fairly old feed just wondered if anyone had any opinions on these tests first one can see a very faint line.. one below has a weird half line.. both taken on the same day.
Had an ectopic July this year and the tests I had with that were all very faint lines so feeling abit anxious.
Thanks in advance

I think the second one is definitely a faulty test, I had this before and wasn't pregnant. But the top one I think I can see a very faint line. 🤞🏻 try with a first response and let us know. Sending you baby dust xx

Kirstee123 · 11/10/2023 09:11

I'll get some of the first response today heard they're abit better than the clear blue! Thanks for having a look at my tests :) appreciate it

Mrsttcno1 · 10/10/2023 20:37

If you’re 10dpo why don’t you go and get one of the clear blue early tests or the first response early response? They are more sensitive and would pick up a positive test quite obviously at 10dpo if you are pregnant! X

Kirstee123 · 10/10/2023 20:23

I'm not sure if the camera picks up the line as well as in real life but even so what I can see is so faint I'm actually starting to second guess myself lol. And yeah the second one I did think was probably just a faulty test so annoying! I'm 10dpo today.. had a few little symptoms although trying not to symptom watch. Main thing ive noticed is the pulling twinges in the pelvis since about 4/5 dpo no spotting or anything and just super hungry. I guess I'll just wait it out now 10dpo is still quite early I guess! X

Mrsttcno1 · 10/10/2023 19:51

Hi @Kirstee123 , I can’t see a line on the first one, maybe a shadow of something? The second one looks to me like a faulty test and the dye had ran I’d exclude that one altogether. How many dpo are you? X

Yeah I’m really struggling emotionally at the moment. My grandad became unwell the morning of our wedding (we already knew he wasn’t well enough to attend and was going to watch via FaceTime on his iPad) but during our evening reception he took a turn for the worst and we lost him the following week, the day we got back from honeymoon. So I’ve been up and down all over the place. We’re going to Florida in 2 weeks so I know I can be focused until then but will be all over when I’m away again. Just hoping I can jump back on the wagon when we get back.

hope you’re okay

Jazz30 · 23/08/2023 20:48

@Ncl31 least u didnt go home an eat... Its so tough.. I struggle alot as since the wedding i have nothing to really look forward to so i struggle more with emotions and weight lose.

Ncl31 · 23/08/2023 20:41

@Jazz30 yes it was this afternoon.
utterly poop, they said “nothing more we can do until you lose weight” which isn’t helpful at all really, so I went to the gym and vented my anger using the weights instead of staying home and eating my emotions.

try to think of your internal scan as a step forward to something positive other than something negative. They’re not pleasant I know, but the professionals are good at it and will put you at ease.

Jazz30 · 23/08/2023 20:36

@Ncl31 have u had ur doctors appointment? Having a internal ultrasound done which im really scared about... Literally struggle alot.. I work with children aswell so its really tough when all i want and would like is to be a mum... Feel like no one i talk to understand me :(

Ncl31 · 15/08/2023 21:41

@GHJ yes it does help knowing I’m not the only one.
Im going to do a HPT tomorrow just to be sure, got no symptoms but have no idea when I ovulated - if at all so just checking really.
i have a GP appointment next week to discuss hopefully starting metformin.
Do you have PCOS? Or is this a random long cycle? I hope you get some answers soon

ttcthoughts · 15/08/2023 20:25

@GHJ so sorry you are having a tough time at the moment with being so far along in your calendar.
Could you go for a private scan of the doctors can’t see you for a month? Zz

GHJ · 15/08/2023 20:14

@Ncl31 I know exactly what you mean, I had some horrible pains lately bit better last couple days but last week was really uncomfortable. Think I may have an ovarian cyst but can't be scanned for another month which is super frustrating. Doc thinks unlikely an ectopic pregnancy which I'm relieved by. Hope your af or bfp comes soon, I hate the waiting but hope it helps to have a limbo buddy, I know it makes me feel a bit less lonely xx

@GHJ i know exactly how you feel. It’s really difficult. I think I could cope better if I had AF. At least then I know my cycles are pretty normal then. Just instead I keep wondering what all these cramps/aches/twinges are every day!!

GHJ · 14/08/2023 19:54

@Jazz30 @Ncl31 sorry to hear you're both having a rough time of it, it's horrible isn't it. I'm on cd 55, still no bfp, still no sign of AF. I realised today I would be pretty much 8 weeks pregnant by now from this cycle which really hit me. Keep seeing people announcing which is lovely and I'm so happy for them but feel like I would be close to announcing myself and getting excited but also can't even plan forwards as I'm not even cycling, no AF to reset. Ah sorry for the depressing speech

@Jazz30 i got you with that. I’m exactly the same. My husband asked me today what was wrong and I literally couldn’t tell him :(

Jazz30 · 13/08/2023 21:17

@Ncl31 im having test done with gp already have had a appointment come through for hospital aswell but not till October. Just feel like loads people keep announcing the pregant when deep down i wish it was me... Just been cryong on and off and then the husband asks whats the matter and i just dont know what to say as its not his fault... Xx

Ncl31 · 13/08/2023 21:11

@Jazz30 i know what you mean about feeling low. Today I feel terrible. My period was due 18 days ago, nothing. No period, no BFP. I’ve cried all day today.
i have a GP appointment next Wednesday as it’s really getting me down now.

ttcthoughts · 13/08/2023 19:03

@Jazz30 its soo hard. Hope you are ok lovely xx

Jazz30 · 13/08/2023 14:19

GHJ · 10/08/2023 07:51

@Poppins2016 @Ncl31 thanks for sharing your experiences with pcos and meds etc, really useful to hear, it can feel like a bit of a minefield! I've got a scan in mid sept so hopefully will find out more then!

@GHJ I'm not entirely sure how it works but I've just heard it can sometimes happen more than once per cycle. I think it is rare but if there's a chance it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for🤞🏻. Especially when there isn't much else going on. Keeping my fingers crossed for you ❤️
