Morning everyone,

I am in cycle 6 of this weird and wonderful TTC journey.

I'm starting this thread for anyone that needs a safe place to rant, share, ask question or anything else. Hopefully we can support each other.

This is cycle day 3 for me. My AF wasn't actually due until 30th June but decided to show up a whole 6 days early so here we are!

And as hippy as this sounds, I had a reading at the beginning of the year and the lady was adamant July was my month so we'll see I guess! xx

@Ella31 what lovely names. So sorry again for your loss. I hope you don't have to wait too long to conceive again. 💕

Thank you so much. May I ask what you called your little boys? They will be so proud of their Mummy and will watch over any little siblings that come along I'm sure 💕

Adam and Dara, they were gorgeous. Dara was born sleeping and Adam survived 4 days. I really hope it happens for me soon again. I'm 6dpo, first ovulation since giving birth 8 weeks ago. Unlikely to happen I'd say

@Ella31 oh my goodness I can't imagine how tough that has been. So very sorry for your losses. You sound like an incredibly strong person. Wishing you lots of luck for TTC in 2024. 💕

Thanks @SnookyPook I try to be strong, had a good cry at the grave today, told them I'm trying to give them a sibling and wished them happy new year. I feel paranoid already. Only 6dpo and the bfn,'s are upsetting me. And I know it's early.

Hope you are doing well and congrats on your recent scan. Be confident as much as you can. This is a brand new pregnancy compared to your last loss and all is good.

Morning all, happy new year!! I’m after some advice/help/chat please! How how how is this possible?! The positive test was this morning at 5.30, yes crazy! And the negative at 9am. About 6dpo so mega crazy early testing too! Guilty!!!! Any chat appreciated! Thank you lovelies ❤️❤️

Could it be your fmu was less diluted,? Get a clearblue digital, if cheapies are showing lines now. The digital should too

Ella31 · 01/01/2024 11:17

Can I join ye ladies. My story is complicated. I've had 2 early losses last year and a serious loss 8 weeks ago. I was pregnant with twin boys, and long story short - at 29 weeks I gave birth. One of my boys was stillborn and my other son died 5 days later. I've since had my checkup and been given the all clear to go again if im ready mentally which I am.

So I'm currently 6dpo, bfn so far. Hope you ladies are all doing ok.

SnookyPook · 01/01/2024 10:31

@elle18310 morning lovely and Happy New Year!

Eek that's tantalising. I hate to say it but the test that's shown a positive looks a bit dodgy to me (the control line is odd too). But I wouldn't give up as 6dpo is likely to be far too early to see anything! Try again in a week?!

Meanwhile, just seen the message above and realised how much has happened since I last posted on this thread! I got pregnant the cycle after that CP and unfortunately had another loss at 7wks... Then gave up TTC, stopped tracking etc... but fell pregnant again and am currently 9wks... They saw a heartbeat at 7+2 so I'm really hoping all is going well still. A bit nervous as we're right in the territory that my MMC happened in April - just hoping all is still progressing. But, for now, good news 😊

Hope everyone else is doing well 💗

@SnookyPook I'm so so sorry to hear about the chemical, sending hugs x

No luck yet. But I had my first ever positive OKP. I always thought my OKP were positive with 2 lines but for the first time I had a blazing one! I'll upload some pics to show you x

@elle18310 meant to I say how are you?! Did you get any luck from your supplements etc?

SnookyPook · 18/09/2023 10:04

@elle18310 morning lovely! Unfortunately I've just had a chemical pregnancy this cycle. Was my first BFP since the loss in April. Doc did bloods and was able to register it as a loss so at least it's on my record but obviously a bit crappy. I just finished bleeding a couple of days ago so back to opks now.... 🙃🤞🏻🌈

Morning, thought I'd pop up and say hi! Anyone still going strong on this TTC journey?

OP posts:
HappyValleyFan1 · 06/08/2023 05:20

@elle18310 I know a few ladies who used these when I was last on MN during TTC my little boy 🙂
Nothing much going on here, CD15 and still no peak, maybe gearing up for later ovulation which is usually when I conceive but I don't trust my body to conform to any norm 😬

elle18310 · 03/08/2023 10:20

@Limmers14 might be worth a go! I’ve given it a go this month so will
keep you posted xx

Ooh interesting! I’m still waiting for my period but have had two negative pregnancy tests so might give those a go if they’ll help regulate when I ovulate!

Got a big box of cheap ovulation tests from Amazon too

Soya Isoflavones are derived from soya beans. They have been dubbed “the natural Clomid,”
As they work in pretty much an identical manner.
Just like Clomid; Soya Isoflavones work by tricking your body into thinking its low on oestrogen. Your body then kick starts production of FSH (Follicle-stimulating hormone) followed by LH (Luteinizing hormone) Which are both necessary to release Healthy Eggs during ovulation.
FSH is released at the start of the menstrual cycle; it stimulates the growth of an immature egg into a fully matured egg. When the egg has matured your body then releases a surge of LH. LH is the hormone that tells the ovary to release the egg.

WHEN?
You take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on either CD 1-5 , 2-6, 3-7 , 4-8 or 5-9.
If you take soy Isoflavones during the later time bracket, for example CD5-9, you shall strengthen the egg that has already started growing producing a healthier egg. The earlier in your cycle you take It, the higher your chance of releasing multiple eggs but these eggs will not be as mature as the eggs grown from taking Soya later.
A lot of women will choose the middle cycle (3 -7) allowing time for a strong and healthy egg to develop without erasing the chance of a second egg being developed and released.

1-5 = you produce more eggs, and ovulate sooner, with a stronger ovulation.

2-6 = you produce more eggs that usual, but not as many as taking it 1-5. Eggs may be more mature, and ovulation will be slightly more strong than 1-5.

3-7 = The best of both worlds, a few more eggs, and all eggs will be strong & mature, and ovulation will be alot stronger than 1-5.

4-8 = No more eggs will be produced, but the ones already there, will be matured alot more than usual, and ovulation will be very strong. Ovulation may only be brought forward a teeny bit.

5-9 = You'll have one very mature strong egg, from the ones you already produced on your own. Ovulation will either happen when it usually does, or a few days later, but your egg will be of great quality.

DOSE?
The dose is really down to you but you should always use the lowest amount that works for you.
With Clomid the starting dose is 100mg. Soya Isoflavones are said to be half the strength of Clomid, so it makes sense for the starting dose to be 100mg.
The trouble with 100mg of soya is that the capsules tend to come as 40mg. So you have a choice of starting at 80mg.
Some women change the dose on different days. So they may start at 120mg for the first 3 days then give an extra boost for the last 2 days with 160mg.

As I have said though, use the lowest dose possible for yourself. If you ovulate using 120mg/day stick to that for a few cycles. GIVE IT A CHANCE. It is said that it takes 3months to get the full benefits of what you are taking. NEVER EXCEED 200mg/day.

@HappyValleyFan1 I’m just using cheapy clear and simple ones. I tried the digital clear blue and I just figured I like to see a line! Mine is dark already and I’m only CD 8. But I’ve been taking soy tablets this cycle and apparently it can move ovulation to bring it forward sometimes? Just going for it this month, not waiting for OKP! 😆🥰 Xx

HappyValleyFan1 · 01/08/2023 05:55

@elle18310 what OPKs are you using? I've just got some easy@home ones this time. Did my first this morning (CD10) and pretty high already. Last time I was tracking I'd always get an early LH surge then another before ovulation but have only conceived on cycles where I ovulate at 17+ days 🤷‍♀️ be interesting to see if my body has changed or not

elle18310 · 31/07/2023 17:10

@HappyValleyFan1 hiya! Here we go again too! Cycle day 8 so started OKP today xx

We go away at the end of the week but DS sleeping terribly so not sure how much time we'll actually get to DTD 🙈
