Afternoon all, hasn't it been quiet recently - my parents were visiting me this weekend so I have been unable to snatch 5 minutes to catch up with everyone. I was also a good girl and didn't drink too much wine (as I usually do when I catch up with my mum!) - hope my restraint is rewarded this month!
ei like you I am symptom spotting like mad - AF due at weekend for me. I appear to be weeing like mad, I keep yawning and have felt a bit sick (for 5 seconds) when I was on the bus. Each month I become more convinced that I am pg and every little thing turns into a symptom. I still can't bring myself to test before a missed/late AF though.
bucky - lucky girl with a trip to France, hope you overindulged on soft cheese while you can! (fyi here in Italy they don't care about avoiding soft cheese whilst pg, but you MUST wash your salad in bicarb of soda!!)

gg great that your dh is fired up, i am thinking of you both.

Ciao to everyone else.

GryffinGirl · 04/03/2008 11:54

thanks jolly - we'll see if Atilla the meercat or anyone with a bit more info can help me work out the results. I wonder what I would do without the wit and wisdom of Mumsnet-ers! Explode in impotent rage probably

hello to anyone testing and symptom spotting. Is anyone late?

Bucky - how was France and did you come back with loads of lovely wine and brie?

pinkgirl - any news???

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 04/03/2008 11:39

GG It is good your DH is fired up and getting going sorting out new appointments. That should mean a swift referral to someone who can actually interpet the results and give you a better idea of what the next steps are.

GryffinGirl · 04/03/2008 10:54

hello everyone,

DH went to the doctors and has a referal for another sperm test. The doctor was pretty useless and basically said "sorry, I have no idea what they mean. I can't interpret these", so DH asked for a print out of his test results and I have been Googling ever since to see if I can find out how bad/good it is and started another thread on here. However, you can't really argue with the words "severely low sperm count" printed at the bottom .

If the second test produces similar results (it is expected to ), the doctor will refer us to a fertitlity specialist . On the positive side, DH seems to have been fired up by the general lack of interest and rubbishness of his GP and is going for the repeat test tomorrow morning and has already booked the follow up GP appointment for two weeks time!

hello to everyone and sorry if I haven't read the thread properly. Hope everyone is ok? Anyone testing? Usual special mention for all my old pals on the 2WW thread Bucky Hatty Jolly Ei mibbes picknmix" madoldbird* and everyone else. Sorry to anyone missed out - didn't mean to, you have all been brilliantly supportive.

JollyBear · 04/03/2008 10:49

Hello bucky, it is quiet on here isn't it?! Glad you have got your test out of the way, fingers crossed for the results .

GG I have just seen your post detailing DH's results . I didn't want to hyjack your thread, but just wanted to say I hope your DH leaves his cave soon and you can talk about it all properly. I'm hoping you get lots of positive stories from couples in a similar position. >

ei Are you not close to d-day? Any symptoms to amuse us with?

Hello to everyone else!

Bucky2008 · 04/03/2008 09:46

Awww, your all so quiet .

I just got back from my CD21 blood test . Those vaccuum test tubes freak me out a bit , but anyway, 7-10 days now till results. DP takes his sample in next Tuesday because he was rubbish at ringing up to make an appointment...MEN!!

GG Hope your DHs appointment goes ok.

Great news JB get to it girl.

Hi Hatty Nice to 'see' you.

Bucky waves to everyone else and runs to get to the train to work.

JollyBear · 03/03/2008 15:57

Oooooooh yes, we can be ovulation buddies hatty !

Yes, they said the scan was fine and we should, to paraphrase, 'get on with it'! So we've been following Drs orders .

hattyyellow · 03/03/2008 15:43

JB does that mean that you've had the all-clear, that you can happily tcc-away then? Hurrah! What lovely news, you must be so pleased

And yippee for positive OPK! Here's to joining the November thread together if we're both ovulating round now

pinkgirl30 · 03/03/2008 15:41

hi allthanksspty thats sweet good luck for you
thanks ei that gives me more hope
cheersjb thats what i thought

JollyBear · 03/03/2008 15:35

Hello hattyyellow Lovely to see you, no need to be sheepish. My scan went v well thank you , so we started our bd-athon on Friday. Hopefully you will ov today or tomorrow and you can both have a rest!!

ei How are things with you? Did you give your sister a telling off for taking you for granted?

pink Long cycles post pill are really common sadly. I understand your frustration, my last cycle was 62days - it wasn't pill related either.

serend Good luck! Hope you get lucky first go.

I've just got a positive OPK! I've done them since Friday and had nothing at all but now have a line

hattyyellow · 03/03/2008 15:00

Afternoon all!

Sorry not been on for a while .

Been trying to not obsess and actually doing okay, probably only thinking "am i, aren't i?" about once a day rather than once a minute!

JB did the scan go okay?

GG hope DH's appt goes okay tomorrow.

DG I think I've bored you with this already but I had v little morning sickness with twins and apparently you are supposed to have it much worse with multiple pregnancies..so I think it does vary from woman to woman?

Bucky how was France? Very jealous..

Waving to everyone

Am on day 20 and think I have only got EWCM today so still valiantly bding away (DH looked exhausted and tried not to yawn this morning when I said we needed to try a few more times this month - have been going every other day since day 8 and we're totally knackered!

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 03/03/2008 11:55

JollyBear · 03/03/2008 09:03

Morning all,

What a quiet weekend it has been on here!

Thanks DG great to see you. Try not to fret too much. Digibean must know he/she has put you through enough worry so have let you off the morning sickness

MOB Glad to hear your DH is OK. He sounds like he has been very lucky. Poor thing.

GG I hope your DH's doctors appointment tomorrow helps put your DH at ease about the situation IYSWIM. Hope you had a relaxing weekend together.

ei I love the idea of mibbes coming back from her hols with a little passenger on board. How's the backache?

pink Any testing news?

Bucky How was France?! Hope you had lots of Brie and good wine.

Still waiting for ov over here. We've bd'ed every day since Friday including this morning so I really hope I ov today! I had a temp dip this morning and EWCM for the past four days so fingers crossed.

Hello to everyone else!

Hello ladies,

Just wanted to pop in to say how pleased I am to hear JB has been given the official ttc go ahead! Good luck!!

Coolkat congrats on your BFP, it must be hard not to worry especially after your last BFP...but there are plenty of women on here who've had low hCG counts or counts that haven't doubled as they're supposed to and then gone on to have successful pregnancies. Sometimes the less you know the less you have to worry about.

GG Thinking of you...

Bucky Bring me back some brie!

Big waves to PnM, ei, MOB, mibbles, hatty and all the newbies on here.

No news on when my next scan is, hoping to hear early next week. I've been very lucky not to have suffered from bad MS or much of the crippling fatigue that lots of the others on the Due in Sep thread have had. It also means I've been wondering if i'm still PG, so am really looking forward to that scan. In the meantime I'm continuing to eat loads and make the effort to look pg.

DG x

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your hugs and kind words. It means a lot. DH is ok - stiff & sore & on lots of ain killers, but otherwise ok. Car is a total write off. Trouble is, he is now "madoldgrumpybloke" and has been snapping at me. Guess i'll just give him a bit of space.

First of all - congrats to scully & mummya nice to hear some good news! best of luck to you both.

Welcome to artichokes, willmouse & serendipity JB wonderful news!! So pleased for you now get BDing!!!!

picknmix really good to "see" you. I can understand why you've been away - after all i did the same thing recently - but always know that you can come on here and rant or say what ever you like. Do stick around.

coolkat what a stupid doctor! Hold on to the fact that you have had BFP's. Perhaps continue doing them, if you feel like it (& can afford it, of course) It may be very early days, which is why the levels are low. I can't understand why he is not repeating them - i always understood that it was a rise that was important, not necessarily the figure itself as that can vary so much. Do look after yourself.

Bucky have a lovely weekend. i can understand what you are saying about a baby seeming less and less of a "real" prospect, but don't give up hope. It can and will happen!!

Mibbes hope you have a wonderful week away. Enjoy - and BD like mad!!!
GG Sorry AF is with you as well. Are you having a large glass of wine later? I am. I loved what you said about just showing your DH that you love him lots. Get on and enjoy each other - the "conversation" can wait a few days, until he has the facts he wants.

EI thanks for filling me in about the stuff with your sister - i was just being lazy not going to the other thread to look!!

Hi to everyone i haven't mentioned - brain is a bit addled today.

JollyBear · 29/02/2008 16:42

Thanks mibbes and GG, I'm just so relieved about my health in general really and of course ttc . I can tell DH now that bd'ing is Dr's orders .

GG Sorry to hear AF has arrived . I hope you've got a relaxing weekend planned.

MOB How awful for you and DH, and AF on top of that . I hope he feels OK. It is such a shock though, isn't it? Hope you are both going to take it easy too.

Bucky How lovely to be nipping across to France. Have a great time.

mibbes A week in the sun, I'm ! What a bonus to be ov too!! I nearly forgot to do my temp the other day. Hope we can symptom spot together when you get back!

coolkat That is just mental cruelty. Try and see a different GP, they might be more forthcoming. Hope you get another test.

Have a great weekend all!
