oops cut off half my sentence....I meant "try and add in puppy power or super pooper"

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 22:13

We are going out tomorrow night for a big night out so we just went to the local pub for something quick.

in 'puppy-power' or 'super-pooper'... ..."Is your puppy over energetic? Take him on a diversion excursion. Long walks alleviate all that puppy power and if he is a super pooper, use our new bags to take all the evidence away.."..

It's official I have gone insane...

PicknMix · 04/04/2008 21:56

(apologies for the over-use of !!! in last post - DH is doing a night shift so am suffering a little cabin fever)

Where did you go for dinner? Did you eat some fab food??

PicknMix · 04/04/2008 21:49

Am loving calibre and superiority - those are two that my faithful thesaurus didn't throw up!!!

Now dinner - that sounds like a good idea, must go eat something soon!

(can't believe I just got the phrase 'throw up' and talked about dinner in the same post!)

Not sad Bucky, just helping out a cyber pal - erm..... does that sound any better?!

My fav phrase I've come up with so far is 'chase chew-tastic' (in ref to a Kong dog toy!)

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 21:45

I am at home on the computer on a Friday night and I am not working....how sad is THAT!?! I have actually already been out for dinner and come home again already!

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 21:43

caliber, character, class, condition, distinction, excellence, excellency, grade, group, kind, merit, perfection, position, , stature, step, superbness, superiority, value, variety, virtue, worth

PicknMix · 04/04/2008 21:38

Aw Bucky, I really hope she doesn't arrive tomorrow. Your DH's appt has come around quick (well, seems that way to - I'm sure to you its felt like an age!). At least it wasn't organised for 'optimum time' and you had abstain for 2 days then .

I can't believe I'm sat at the comp on a Friday night yet again working!!! (well, working/shirking!!). Anyone think of another word for 'quality' (am doing the descrips for products on a website - yawn!)

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 21:32

Ei I swear that looks like a pg chart!!! The test must definitely be broken . Let's just hope TEW stays away, and this is your month.

In my post I actually meant 'pelvic region' and not 'pelvic reason' wonder if that is a freudian slip.

Had quite bad cramps for about 15 minutes a couple of hours ago and then they went but AF not turned up yet. Think however, she is going to be punctual and turn up tomorrow .

DP goes for his test next Tuesday (I think...) Monday or Tuesday anyway, pretty sure it is Tuesday, because you have to refrain from Bding for 48 hours before and he said Sunday was off limits....

PicknMix · 04/04/2008 21:03

Apologies in advance for getting your hopes up Ei but your chart looks text book perfect for getting a bfp - I'm crossing everything that you are just a late hCG creater and your BFP will arrive very soon!

Hows the house hunt going by the way?

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 04/04/2008 20:16

hi ladies
MOB i agree with you that all tests are faulty as i tested AGAIN and it was BFN no sign of AF and loads of symptoms that can be misconstrued as preggy symptoms also my temp is way high!! have a look at ei's chart im very confused as i am now 15DPO and would have expected AF by now!!
sorry MOB and PnM for your BFNs
bucky things sound postive for you my lady good luck for when you test
amytheearwaxbanisher sounds good for you too let us know the result when you test
hi to everyone els

Good evening ladies

PnM well clearly ALL pg tests are faulty if you've had a BFN as well!! I laughed at what you said, as i'd done the holding it up to every light, take it apart etc, desparate to see a line. It's a horrible feeling, isn't it. i think i've decided not to do any more ever, unless i'm officially late. I've forgotten, are you testing a little early? I do hope that AF stays away for you.

hattyyellow hope you finished work early enough to enjoy some of the sunshine!

JB as hatty said, get some lucozade in if necessary - just keep going!

bucky yes, i will definitely be having a very large drink or five when AF arrives. I drown my sorrows each time, but i know exactly what you mean about it not being a drink that you really want. Hope you have a lovely weekend and AF doesn't turn up.

Well, i had a lovely afternoon, as DH and i were of work, and the DC's have broken up, so we all went to the coast to enjoy the lovely weather. Had great fun looking for fossils (didn't find any) and skimming stones. The simplest pleasures are the best!
Am pretty sure AF is on here way, as i've now had some cramping. I warned DH that i really was very unlikely to be pregnant, as this afternoon he was commenting that my boobs had grown, so he thought i definitely was. He has decided that he wants to have a sperm test (i know, i'm lucky he's so willing) I know he is worried that it's him - i guess because he is the "unknown quantity" as he's never had children. We always said that we wouldn't go for ivf / other assisted conception procedures, but i think that if it's found that he has a problem then we may consider it, as this child is so important to him. Sorry, i'm waffling on about myself again - hope everyone out there is ok, and you all have lovely weekends. XX

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 16:08

MOB and PnM at least if TEW turns up we can drink lots of wine...although to be honest, I have had so much wine now I will be joining the AA forum soon . Well maybe not, but still...It's not wine I want.

I am in a diet competition with a girl in my office, so at least I won't lose all my money if AF turns up!

I keep sitting here concentrating on my pelvic reason and any 'feelings' I might be having in case I suddenly feel 'the signs'...but nothing yet. Do have the tender (.)(.)s, and was a bit hormonal this morning (to the point of being a psycho, friend said to 'have a nice weekend' and I asked her if it was a hint?, if she was telling me not to call her all weekend?...), but it seems to have passed now, thank goodness. PMS, don't you love it. .

JollyBear · 04/04/2008 15:39

MOB and P&M Sorry to hear you have both had BFNs. You may both have just tested a bit early. MOB Sorry you are still feeling poorly. Hope you have a restful weekend. I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed for you, P&M and bucky. hatty It is lovely outside isn't it! How's the bloating? Mine has gone down a bit , maybe it is just fat and I've overdone it on the easter eggs as I can't blame it on ov!

Have a great weekend everyone

hattyyellow · 04/04/2008 14:56

Afternoon all

Bucky and MOB and Picknmix so sorry to hear about the negative tests. Hoping that it doesn't turn into AF and you're still in with a chance until that happens aren't you...everything xd..

JB keep at it girl! Get some lucozade in if your energy starts to flag - you can't stop yet!

DG can't believe you're already 15 weeks! Wow, that's brilliant - are you feeling any twinges of movement as yet? I remember it felt like bubbles popping at first, but I can't remember at what week that happened..hope you're having a relaxing and peaceful time. Thanks for info re blood tests, I think my GP is quite switched on as she said 7 days before my cycle ends rather than it having to be on day 21...got one booked on day 25 (32 days being my most likely cycle) so fingers xd..

Waving to everyone else - am waiting for a conference call whilst looking longingly out of the window at the sunshine...

PicknMix · 04/04/2008 14:45

Gah - just wrote a nice long post and its just disappeared!!!!

Am in a bit of a hurry so a quick paraphrase:

MOB sorry hear about bfn - know the feeling as got one myself this a.m (twisted, turned, took it into another room [better light] and convinced myself of a faint line but no, deffo a bfn!). Look after yourself and have fingers x'ed TEW doesn't arrive.

Bucky am with JB on this one, you can't test this afternoon as not fmu, so I would wait til at least tomorrow, if not Monday (says the weak willed P&M ) and then at least you will officially be late - hope you can do something relaxing tonight to take your mind off it - take Finn dog for a lovely walk in the sunshine (I miss the excuse of having a dog to walk, feel a bit foolish by myself!).

Lovely to see you and hear all is well DG!

Am shocked that you have to wait that long Mibbes - surely you need to know before then??

Hi to everyone else - how you doing today Ei?? Have you tested?

Ok, so think this post has gone on longer than original (I'm so cr*p at being concise!!)

Madoldbird · 04/04/2008 14:03

Afternoon everyone!

Forget the ttc trauma's - Mumsnet being down has eclipsed all of that!!!

DG how lovely to see you - you are sounding very pregnant nw in your maternity trousers! Hope it goes well with the midwife.

JB keep at it girl - no slacking, you can have a rest post ov

amy do a test tomorrow - and come and tell us the result!

bucky well, no AF today is a good thing... if you can't face a possible BFN, then wait say, until Monday or something? It's awful, this time in limbo, though.

Well, i am still feeling miserable, with a sore throat and totally lacking in energy, as well as the stomach thing. Think i am just run down at the moment. Caved in this morning and did a FR with FMU - BFN. Ddin't expect anything else really, but still gutted. Had some of the greenish discharge that i normally get pre-AF as well, so i guess she will be on her way in the next day or two. I thought we'd timed things pretty well as well. Sorry for the "sorry ofr myself" post.

JollyBear · 04/04/2008 13:38

Oh bucky

Don't test today as the test would probably be unreliable with afternoon wee anyway. I understand your frustration. Last cycle I decided I wasn't going to test and I didn't till 15DPO but was tempted to do an opk one afternoon because I'd heard they could be positive if pregnant, then it would be a BFN but not IYKWIM?!!

I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Bucky2008 · 04/04/2008 13:27

Hello all.

Good to see you DG.

JB I agree, i nearly died of frustration not being able to moan to you all this morning . CD29 of a 29 day or less cycle...and no AF yet, on constant knicker watch and so sure she will turn up again and I will be totally FED up with ttc .

One minute I want to test, the next I don't because it will only be a stupid BFN .

JollyBear · 04/04/2008 12:59

Morning all.. make that afternoon!

How annoying MN being down! Don't they know we all have very important things to say to one another .

amy Sounds v positive! I'd be testing first thing tomorrow if I were you. Good luck.

bucky, MOB, P&M and ei Have any of you tested? Fingers and toes crossed for you.

DG Lovely to see you, glad to hear all is well. Time seems to have flown by!

GG How are things with DH? Is he going to try vitamins?

I think you have beaten me to it with ov hatty!

I've just got a v nearly positive opk (the second line isn't quite as dark). I think my + one last time looked like this and it was right as I ov a day later. I hope I ov tomorrow, I'm exhausted from all the bd'ing .

amytheearwaxbanisher · 03/04/2008 23:33

hi all im on day 34 of my 32-34 day cycle and no sign of af im usually crampy, sore boobs, pmsy and so on no signs yet dare i get my hope up again?ive refrained from first response so far

digitalgirl · 03/04/2008 23:18

hello girls,
not been lurking so much this week, so have just had to have a TWO page catch up on all the goings on.

scary I'm so so sorry to hear your news. take good care of yourself.

hatty my GP sent me for a day 21 test even though I told her how long my cycles were. I didn't go till day 29 (and I still hadn't ovulated by then). But the gynae set me up for a day21 and then the same test on day28. I didn't get the results in the end as I got a BFP!

gg glad to hear you had a good GP's appointment and hooray for the referral. and more cheers for gryffinboy agreeing to go private. you have been working those feminine wiles overtime!

bucky i still reckon temping for a couple of cycles will give you a better idea of when you're ov'ing. those LH surges you get on OPK's can be all over the shop.

JB I empathise with your lost files. I often save work over previous documents, so although I've got the latest bit of work - I've lost the work i did before...stupid DG. Before leaving my last job, I was cleverly copying all my files onto disk so I could leave a clean computer behind....except no I didn't, I just deleted a big chunk of personal documents without saving them.

All's well here. I get to meet the midwife for the first time next week at my booking-in appointment. Have graduated to maternity trousers and feeling very comfy now. 15+3 tomorrow.

night night
DG

mibbes · 03/04/2008 19:00

Bucky PMSL at 'weel', you cheeky monkey ! My typing is pants OMG just read the Scot bit, see.. I was being all Scottish not rubbish at typing ! I am so hoping you can join me on AN thread soon Bucky . We need your ramblings to liven things up a bit ! 'I didn't get BFP until 15dpo...'
PicknMix the nurse said results will take 2-3 weeks . I'm sure GP said 1-2 days. I'd have thought they would want to know quickly if bean is at risk so that they can act quickly . Ha ha willow in the wind ! Yes my nieces are 2 and 4
hatty neddle in the head is a really crap reward - and you pay money for this ? Seriously though, I really hope it does the trick, it worked a treat for DG

tinkerbell2 · 03/04/2008 17:37

acupuncture sounds interesting i wouldnt be that brave!! what a reward having one in your head
lol patting head when left assuming that you didnt find any rogue needles anywhere lol

ShakeysGirl · 03/04/2008 16:43

EI - I came off the pill in August.
I think my dream is because i am feeling a little guilty because last night i was thinking how easy it would be to go and have a one night stand and conceive - not that i ever would, its just frustrating that its so difficult and taking so long as i'm sure you all know. Then i felt so crap for even thinking it. I don't want any baby, i want dps baby because i love him and we want a family.
How awful is that :-( :-( :-(

hattyyellow · 03/04/2008 16:39

Thank you JB I did find myself nervously patting my head as I walked out, just in case she'd left a needle stuck there! Yay, are we ovulation buddies again? Fingers crossed it's a lucky month for us both!
