JB sorry to get you worried! Although i was touched that you were worried IYSWIM Unfortunately work does sometimes get in the way of MN Will have to hand my notice in if it continues to do so!! I laughed at your DH asking if you can test yet - my DH did that, on our first cycle, i think - more or less as soon as we'd finished BDing he said "can we do a pregnancy test yet?" I explained some of the biology to him at that point and he looked rather overwhelmed!

Hattyyellow i can really identify with your good 2 weeks / bad 2 weeks that you were talking about - i have got into a bad habit of doing that. First two weeks i am trying to eat healthily, at the gym etc, then i have two weeks of "well, i may be pregnant, so no point in trying to lose weight" etc. Then when AF arrives i hit rock bottom and eat and drink utter rubbish for a couple of days!! I will have to try and follow your good example. I'm glad my DH is not the only one who thinks about names! He has already chose a boy and a girl name. We now have the minor problem of producing a baby to give one of these names to...

GG have a good weekend with the out-laws (if you can - do you get on with them??)

Bucky any news on Molly?

EI how was the house?

pinkgirl you are very strong not testing again until monday!

pinkgirl30 · 07/03/2008 19:15

hello madoldbird - so pleased for you that your DH is ok afetr his accident.

I am off for the weekend to visit the out-laws so won;t be posting until Monday.

have a lovely weekend ladies [smile

hattyyellow · 07/03/2008 17:05

JB it's all going to pot tonight though!

Cooking for in-laws as FIL birthday - at special request am doing chicken satay and chocolate brownies with ice cream for pudding! Yummmmm..you can't be healthy all the time can you?

That's so sweet of Mr Jollybear!

Have a lovely weekend

JollyBear · 07/03/2008 16:47

Hatty Oooooh you sound super healthy with the diet and exercise . It is hard not to reach for the biscuit tin when feeling miserable, I find my paws reaching for it more often than is healthy. I'll be keeping my fingers (or paws?!) crossed that AF doesn't arrive in the hattyellow house this weekend. Same goes for the ei and bucky abodes too, good luck girls and anyone else I've missed out. We need a BFP on here!!!

GG Glad to see some really positive stories on your thread now.

Mr Jollybear texted earlier to ask if I can test yet, 3DPO today! Honestly .

Have a great weekend all.

hattyyellow · 07/03/2008 14:49

Hi girls,

MOB really glad you and DH are okay sending you hugs.

Bucky and GG cringing for you! Hope it's settled down again at work?

ei any news from the house viewings - they look amazing!

Waving to everyone

Not much news from me, day 24 and don't feel any different from normal. Just hoping that I have a slightly longer cycle than 26 days this month - shorter cycles seem worse than long somehow as less time for stuff to happen .

Low Gi diet going really well. Am pretty sure I have PCOS and doctor seemed to agree. I think it was never spotted before as I was on the pill for so long which masks the symptoms and I'm not overweight.

So decided to try and make positive life changes that were beneficial for conception but if the BFP doesn't happen are still positive. Since we started ttcing again last summer I'd got into the habit of dieting like mad for the first two weeks of each cycle and then eating crap for the last two/three weeks as I felt miserable and anxious about ttcing.

Feeling much more energetic avoiding too much carbs, fat etc and have been trying to eat healthily rather than diet foods which just seem full of sugar and additives. Doing aerobics twice a week too -all things that make me feel more positive and give me "me" time in between kids and work.

So even if it doesn't happen this month at least I won't be even more depressed by not being able to do my jeans up after two weeks of eating like the pregnant woman I thought I was! I don't have horrendous skin just stubborn red spots that crop up which I can just about mask under make up - but they've definitely got better so somethings working!

JollyBear · 07/03/2008 14:03

MOB So glad you are OK, was getting worried there. It must have been awful for you, especially after having lost your first DH so thankful he is OK. You haven't lost your sense of humour though! Have you been reading some Oscar Wilde?

Having a relaxed cycle has worked for lots of people on these boards so perhaps taking it easy will work for you!

ei Any news from you. As MOB said we haven't had a BFP on here for ages! Fingers crossed for you.

pinkgirl30 · 07/03/2008 13:40

hi jb i am hoping not either thanks

madoldbird · 07/03/2008 13:03

Afternoon everyone!

Apologies for my absence - i have had a really busy week workwise, and in the evenings i have been exhausted and just falling asleep on the sofa (sadly, on CD 8, i cannot even pretend that i have the "tiredness" symptom) I haven't even had the time or energy to lurk! I logged on excitedly hoping to see some BFPs... somebody must be due one soon, surely

Anyhow, i have had a good read through in an attempt to catch up with all the news.

Bucky/DollyParton new dog looks gorgeous! I do hope that you are still able to have her. You mentioned that you are going off on holiday without DH - have i missed something - where are you off to?? I don't remember hearing about it. I'm sure he'll cope with 2 dogs.

coolkat i'm pleased to hear that the GP apologised and that the results were better than you were led to believe. Hope you are doing ok this week.

GG glad to hear that DH seems quite pro-active about things, though [cross] that the GP couldn't offer more help over the results. Do hang on in there - sperm tests results can vary greatly, and as many others have said, you only need the one! Easy to say, i know, but true. Have been giggling at your work embarrasments - although i'm sure you weren't at the time.

JB good to hear that it sounds like you have ov'd - fingers crossed for you!

hattyyellow how is the GI diet goig?

libralady lovely to see you, and hear that everything is progressing well.

Scaryhairy we can see you lurking there!!! Hope you are feeling more chilled.

ratbunny welcome!

EI good luck with house viewing today. It looks beautiful!

twinklingfairy that house you described sounds gorgeous. i would love to have views like that!

Picknmix i love your liberated attitude (with secret obsessing testing!!!)

Big hello to everyone else - hope you all have a good weekend.

Not much to report here. DH is fine now after the accident. I think it hit us both hard a few days after - thinking about the "what ifs". If he hadn't had airbags in the car the outcome would have been extremely different. Anyway, i've told him he can't die yet - i've already lost one husband - to lose two would simply be careless!!!!

I feel a bit ambivilent about ttc this month. I want a baby just as much as ever, i just can't be bothered with the whole checking CM, cervix, doing opks etc. The actual reality of us having a baby together seems such a distant possibility at the moment. Hopefully i'll get a bit more motivated as ovulation approaches!

JollyBear · 07/03/2008 10:10

Morning all,

GG Oh goodness! Shared printers are a curse!

bucky I love the idea of your joke spreading through the office like wildfire! Did you confess?! Oh and did the man agree to you collecting the dog a bit later? I hope so, she's so sweet.

P&M Oooooooh working in a pet shop sounds fun! Do you have a heap of animals at home too? I'm not sure I could resist!

TF I love the sound of the house you want. The views sound tremendous. Has the sale gone through?

ei Good luck for the viewing today. How are you feeling? Hope AF doesn't arrive. My fingers are firmly crossed!

Disenchanted That sounds v positive! Good luck holding out to test.

pink I hope the pill hasn't just messed your cycle up, I did loads of tests during my last (62 day!) cycle but AF eventually arrived. Hope that doesn't happen to you and you caught a late egg.

FF has put my red lines in and confirmed I ov on Tuesday!

pinkgirl30 · 07/03/2008 08:29

morning ladies
hi twinklingfairy - ye you could be right bd jan31st,feb 4th,7th,10th,14th and 20th(that would have been 14 days ago ish) and march 1st and 4th.
will cross fingers

twinklingfairy · 07/03/2008 01:39

Goodness That took me ages to cath up.
Now I have to remember all that I have read, eek!

Oh dear bucky & GG you two aren't doing well at work.
Bad enough to let the home truths out whilst slightly drunk, but He will prob think the male infertility sheet was a dig at him. He sounds like the type of arrogant beeep who would think everything is all about him.
bucky I don't think I would worry. He is a man, afterall, not know for their thinking about things are they?
And your new dog, aww she has big sad frowny eyes. Sweet. You just want to give her a hug.

ei Ooh yes I like the look of your house too. I woudl like to have one like that but there is no such property up here in teh wilds of Scotland. My property is not much to look at so I won't put a link ( you would all think I was mad!) But it has a view to die for and loads of potential.
Have you heard of John O'Groats? Well near there is a place called Dunnet Head. It is the most Northern tip of the british mainland. That would be my, uninterupted view!
Hope the viewing goes well tommorrow.

Disenchanted ooh! I hope it is implantation. What else can it be at that time of the month?
S'obvious

pink were you still BD about 14days ago ish, just in case you ov'd late?
If ov was defo CD14, but norm LP is 10-16 days Must be late ov, maybe?

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 20:29

thanks pnm
good luck d

Disenchanted · 06/03/2008 20:16

HIYA

Im on CD19 and Had +OPK 6 days ago now, I also had pink tinged mucas yesterday which im hoping is an implantation bleed.

Im dying to test!!

PicknMix · 06/03/2008 20:01

I'm laughing the at the 2 of you Bucky and GG - but only because I've made the same mistakes in the past!!! Trouble is, I sometimes work in a shop and I've left the laptop running when I've snuck on mnet for a sneaky lurk and then been called away - I then come back to realise that its on the screen for all the world to see (am hoping customers vision isn't brilliant !!)

Hope that Molly is kept safe and well til you can pick her up Bucky - am on your behalf at the dog walkers words. Is there no other agency you could use?? Shame you don't live round here - working in a pet shop means I've got the 'inside' (!) knowledge on whos who in dog walking!!!!

Beanie I know how you feel - I once heard a lady on here say she wants a Martini Baby - any time, any place, anywhere!!

Sounding good JB!!! Keep those temps up!

Hope the viewing goes well tomorrow Ei

Hi to everyone else - Pink hope you manage the wait until Monday (test day) ok!!

GryffinGirl · 06/03/2008 17:24

jolly - I'm reeeaaally cringing myself . i thought at the time I was being hilariously funny telling him that (he famously has no sense of humour). Hell, I blame the pressure of TTC and DH's results for being a little lubricated

Bucky - really hope your boss assumes you were on MN for the dog bits. It's not quite the same but I printed out an article on male infertility last night, but forgot and left it on the shared printer. It was found and was mortally embarrased that they may think it's mine. I don;t think anyone thought it was mine, but my not-very-amused boss is one of only two men who shares that printer (the other being 65), so I really hope he doesn't think it is me having another "joke" at his expense .

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 17:21

hi ei no f cd40 testing monday
hibucky how embarrassing at least it had about dogs

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:53

GG Dog would be called Molly...she had a cheesy name at the moment .

Oh dear, how off topic am I today. Maybe I should throw in something about my (.)(.)s randomly to make my posts relevant ....Nothing new to report however, they are just the same as they were a few minutes ago.

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:51

JB I am sure he would have looked, he is a right stickybeak...not an El nino more of a 'pinocchio' .

GG you crack me up, wine is a truth serum. I know...I once informed announced at a works do that the head of property was probably shagging his secretary . I said it in a drunken jest, but the next day at work I was outside having a stress cigarette (back when I smoked) and somebody told me that they had heard that the Head of Property was shagging his secretary ...and I knew it was me that had started the rumour . Actually I think I had just drunkenly pointed at a blonde girl who he had been flirting with, but she happened to be standing next to his secretary at the time.

JollyBear · 06/03/2008 16:39

Oooh GG I'm cringing for you!

Did your boss definately see your screen bucky?! He'll probably put it down to dog obsession as you say!!

GryffinGirl · 06/03/2008 16:06

Jolly - unfortunately, my boss was sober . He remembers alright and is now gunning for me. Eek! He failed to get an important promotion (obvious to everyone except him that he wasn't going to get it). He was rabbiting on about what a hot shot he was. I got fed up and said "Och shut up, you're not that bl**dy great - you didn't even get promoted". I also told him his office nickname is El Nino because he rushes in like a tornado, causes chaos and then disappears. he was completely unamused

Bucky - what is your new dog called? bloody cheek that dog-walker saying such a rude thing. You are her client

ahh ha, I get it now, your DP has to do it in the house and rush the test round to the hospital.

ei it sounds really promising for you this month

Bucky2008 · 06/03/2008 16:00

OMG . Just walked to the printer at work, got waylaid talking to someone, came back to my desk, report I had been working on was gone and mumsnet was still on my screen ....I am dying of embarrassment. I do not have any dc, so my boss is probably mightily suspicious. Luckily there was nothing about EWCM or anything, just the homepage. There was something about dogs on there so I thought maybe if he bothered to read it, he may think that's why I was looking at it. He knows I am obsessed with dogs...
