TTC CD12 and approaching ovulation. Anyone with me?

Currently on CD12 and it's month 1 of TTC #2. Anyone else close to ovulation? Hopefully we can keep each other same during the TWW!

Hope you're all well?

I think I'm 2 DPO (according to flo because I never have any recognisable symptoms) so not much to report here.

It's month one and I'm feeling weirdly chill but I know that will only last until the end of this month and if we've not gotten lucky I'll be straight into opk's and obsessing like I did with my first.

I got my BFP at 8DPO with her which is super early so I need to try and resist testing so early this time. I spent a (not) small fortune on FRER last time I was TTC.

Hoping the TWW will be a little less torturous with a 2 year old to distract me!

Where is everyone cycle wise now? I didn't get any symptoms with my daughter until 8DPO which is what led me to test.

Hi ladies,

Just catching up and looks like a few of you are hitting ovulation which is exciting!

I caved and tested today at 8DPO (according to flo, I didn't do any opk's this month) and it was a BFN.

I'm not feeling too disheartened as it's only month 1 and I really don't mind if it takes a month or two as my hubby has just gone self employed and we've just paid for our wedding so financially a little extra time to recover won't be a bad thing!

I'm a notorious early tester and knew I'd start at 8DPO as I always did last time I was TTC and actually got my BFP with my daughter at 8DPO. As a compromise with myself I've ordered internet cheapies to use this week and then will do a FRER next weekend. Last time I was using FRER every day from 8DPO and every day for a good week or so after I got my BFP so spent a bloody fortune 😂.

@CurlyWurly1991 thank you for your advice! I think on the days that we DTD I'll test twice and then on other days 3 times! Where are you on your cycle? X

@SnookyPook thank you, I'll make sure I test around similar times and not rely just on fmu.
ekkkkk 1dpo! How exciting for you. I remember my first pregnancy which sadly ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks and I would literally right down every symptom I had lol, it can really consume you so make sure you take some time out to relax and have some down time xx

@pm24 - what @CurlyWurly1991 said! Although I don't always test 3 times a day... I use it all more as a guide than anything. If you make sure that you're DTD plenty around the right time then it doesn't really matter if you know your exact peak etc.

I heard that FMU isn't the best for opks actually as apparently LH tends to rise more throughout the day. Lots of people seem to say second wee of the day. You'll see I got in a pattern of testing around 9.30am and 8pm (but not rigidly so!) and around the time I thought my peak should be due I was checking early aft too. Good luck! 😃

@pm24 If you don’t mind wasting the cheap Opk strips it can be worth testing 3x a day while you’re getting to grips with it. I would have missed my ‘peak’ if I’d been testing only twice a day, it turned up on cd 16 with a high-ish reading in the morning, my peak at 3pm and then lower by 7pm.

@SnookyPook aww thank you for sharing yours! I'm hoping I'll get a surge pretty soon then. I think I went about crazy today and tested 3 times! I'll go back to 2 times a day. Did you test with fmu? X

@pm24 love your tracking chart! Is this your first month with OPKS? Mine very often go from low to suddenly much higher. Attaching pic of my strips this cycle. Hopefully your peak will be on its way soon!

Yes, it was my first ever follicular scan and if I'm honest I should have been more prepared with questions. I can't remember if the gyno said how big they were, I heard him say they are small but the size they would expect at this stage in the cycle. Thinking I might try and call them tomorrow to see if they can give me those details. It's just a waiting game now! I've read that you can still have follicles and not ovulate/release eggs but my ovaries have been hurting for the last few days. Xx

@pm24 not quite the same situation but PreMom app predicted my ovulation last Friday but only just got my peak opk this evening so guess I will ovulate tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you! Must be so interesting getting the follicle scans etc (sorry slight nerd! Haha)

Hi ladies, I am CD11 and still waiting for a LH surge, flo says I've ovulated but I had a follicle scan today and gyno said there is one in each ovary and I should ovulate in the next 2-3days. Should mention that I'm also on my first round of clomid. Really hoping I ovulate in the next few days! Anyone been in a similar position? Xx

@MLN89 im sorry to say the 2ww isn’t less tortuous with the distraction of another child, if anything worse 🙈😂

I think I’m also 2dpo, and must also resist testing early and spending so much money on bloody tests 😂

So I'm CD16 and ovulating today. Peaked yesterday but only dtd sat night and will tonight, wasn't around yest 😅 looking forward to the TWW as I get so anxious before ovulation 😂 starting a new job this month so I'm actually not too stressed if I fall pregnant this month or not 🫣
