@Blessedmummytobe we only DTD twice! But, well timed, and it only takes one little sperm, so you never know. 2DPO here.

@xxcxdonxx same here, I am planning to just wait and see if AF turns up. The month we conceived DD, I thought we didn’t stand a chance and wasn’t even thinking about TWW… it was only when I realised I was two days late that I tested and got my BFP. It was stress free, so I’ll try and do that again.

@HopeAndChocolate I hope you get your peak soon, but at least it’s high, which is a good sign 🤞🏻

@HopeAndChocolate my opk used to be a lot like yours, I would see a gradual increase but more recently they are pretty invisible until I get my peak 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am actually aiming not to test this month. I have been so disappointed the last few months seeing that complete negative. As I spot before my period that will kind of be my guide. It all sounds very sensible, let’s see how I get on 😂

@Blessedmummytobe currently CD12 I normally ovulate late at CD18/19 so I feel like I have.m ages to go! 😂😂

CD 15 for me @Blessedmummytobe - currently waiting for my OTK to change from high fertility to peak - has been three days so far and feel like I’m on tenterhooks!

Back to the beginning of SMEP this cycle for us on CD8 and tracking BBT.

I seem to be in a pattern now of starting to spot about 7 dpo until af arrives (which is annoying and maybe worrying) so I think I’ll know pretty quickly if I’m in or not. That said, I did spot when TTC#1 so it’s all really a guessing game!!

@Blessedmummytobe excellent! Am I right in thinking your DH was away for a few days, is he back now?

@xxcxdonxx yes the peak can be very shortlived, but it sounds like you caught it, hurrah!

I feel we timed it well this month, only two sessions - but one the day before peak and the one the day of peak 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 wishing all of us sooo much luck. The TTW begins ladies! When are we all testing?! Can I wait all the way til 21st Aug?! Probably not!

Ladies I have Q for you. I had a negative LH test Saturday evening (a line but neg) and then a very clear positive on Sunday morning.
That was my last test and my others just arrived this afternoon so tested again and it was quite faint. I’m happy that I caught my peak but I wondered if it was quite short lived?
Not that it makes a huge difference in the end but something else to over analyse 🫣

What app are people using for these opk's think I'll order these ones up. Af making an exit so ready to get back on it 😁

Just SMEP and seven seas ovulation tablets at the moment! I think because we knew we were going to start ttc around this time of year, I spent a few months beforehand doing a bit of reading and obviously tracking! Hope you’re getting on ok your end! xx

Also @HopeAndChocolate look out for egg white cervical mucus (EWCM) and a peak in your basal body temperature x

@HopeAndChocolate welcome! Wow smep on the first month trying, you are very organised! Great that you’ve already worked out the OPKs and got your flashing smiley too. Woo!

Some research says the egg pops out anywhere from 12-48 hours after the peak. But the rise in LH before the peak could last for days or just an hour or so, so it is impossible to know how it will be for you. My last LH surge lasted almost a week! But this month it’s surged and peaked within 24 hours.

But, you probably haven’t peaked yet, so you’re probably at least 24 hours way from ovulation. Then egg then hangs around in your fallopian tube for 12-24 hours waiting for a sperm. The sperm can get there in as little as ten mins, and stay there for 3-5 days. So, I think you’re in with a really good chance either way. You might ovulate tonight, or tomorrow night, so I might be inclined to suggest a morning sesh, tomorrow?

You sound so organised, I’m curious, what other methods/supplements are you using, if you don’t mind me asking?

Hello! Been following this thread and thought I should make myself known. ☺️ August is our very first month ttc and found SMEP made a lot of sense so giving that a whirl!

I’m on CD13 and just received my first flashing smiley (high fertility) on the clear blue OTK. Am I right in thinking the 3 day BD doesn’t start until we get the static smiley (peak fertility) and we just continue as we are? We DTD yesterday so unsure whether to BD today or if it can wait till tomorrow…

Second question (sorry!), how long does high fertility tend to last? Getting ahead of myself but trying to work out when OD might fall.
