V faint line frer 3 days in a row 8-10dpo

Hello, this is my first post so not sure if I’m doing it right but I’ve found lots of comfort reading others stories during my journey which I’ll go into another time but it’s been difficult and I’m now in my 2nd cycle ttc after loss and not being allowed to try for 6 months.

I’m now 10dpo and have had the faintest squinting move in the light and stretch to see it lines on frer the past three days which are maybe the teeniest teeniest bit less faint each day but still barely there. All came up within the 3 mins but I know frer can be notorious for Evap lines and indents and false hope. I know all I can do is keep testing and see if it gets darker but I feel so hopeless and just want someone’s advice, opinion, support.

i’ll try and upload pictures now not done this before but please if anyone could give their opinion/experience, am I seeing things? Is this nothing? Could this be the start of something?

first image is all three together but hard to see in the light top is 8dpo middle is 9dpo bottom is today 10dpo.

all done with fmu, I get nothing in the afternoon with few hour holds and these faintest lines with fmu all frer so don’t know if I’m being incredibly unlucky only getting indents in the morning?!

thank you

I definitely see a line on the 10dpo test. My fingers crossed for you!!

rhow · 08/06/2023 21:38

I always set these threads "to watch" and then end up crying my eyes out when I see a baby at the end of the 9 months of updates!!

I really really hope this thread is the same. I can see a line and I have everything crossed you for. Biscuit

katiekss · 08/06/2023 19:38

Remember tomorrow might not seem much darker cos really it's every 48 hours you should test.. but it definitely should have something on it, even if just really similar. There's no way that test upon test would show faint lines if there was no HCG, so if you're getting a line again tomorrow it's a really good sign. Also would you consider trying a few other brands tomorrow? I got that faint line at 10dpo then confirmed the next day with another FRER but also with about 4 other brands also. Every one of them showed a faint line and that was sooo reassuring for me. They weren't all expensive or highly sensitive ones either!

Laylattc · 08/06/2023 17:40

@Blossomandbee thank you! I really hope it’s stronger tomorrow. Feel like it has to have become more noticeable by tomorrow morning otherwise I’ll have to rule myself out and will have a cry about being so unlucky to get so many indents playing tricks on my mind and never buy frer ever ever again! Didn’t even know having a faint line could be so misleading!

@Hazelnuttella thank you so much for sharing! The first one is very faint, so glad you got your bfp. I’ll be happy if I get something show up on an easy@home tomorrow going to test with one of those too first thing in the morning and then I’ll hopefully know either way what’s happening. Really hoping it’s something. Will post results either way!

@katiekss oh my goodness thank you so much for finding your pics and posting them. Your 10dpo looks so much like mine I think! Hoping my 11dpo tomorrow does too then! You’re right I think it’s really dependent on tomorrow, hoping it’s progressed in some way if it’s more noticeable it’s going in the right direction. If it’s completely blank or still barely noticeable then I’ve been cursed with indents and will never buy frer ever again! Will post tomorrow as soon as I’ve taken my morning test. So nervous!

@Shoemadlady thank you, I need both sides so I don’t get ahead of myself if it’s disappointment tomorrow. Can you not see any lines or is it that you think they’re indents?

OP posts:
Laylattc · 08/06/2023 17:17

@PollyDarton1 eeeh I really hope it’s not indents. Thank you! Just want it to be morning now so I can’t rest but scared it’s going to be nothing x

I see lines on the 9 and 10dpo tests! Hopefully they will get stronger

katiekss · 08/06/2023 16:38

I feel like Mumsnet always makes you think if your lines are faint they’re going nowhere but all 3 of my pregnancies have started with lines that were basically invisible and I know if I posted on here asking I would be told Evap/indent/line eyes.
I think the biggest tell tale is what happens tomorrow though, or at least in next 2 days. If it doesn’t get darker then that’s not right. Will be following and hoping for you

katiekss · 08/06/2023 16:36

I have added pic from 10dpo, 11dpo and then 11dpo the following day (it dried darker) next to 12dpo fresh on the day

This is from day 10 to day 15 (more than one test a day as I kept waking in the middle of the night and would do one).

You can see the first ones are barely visible

My 10po test looked like yours exactly. Definitely there but so so hard to see and so hard to capture on camera.
Then by 11 more noticeable and by 12po it should have started to pick up pace. Will see if I can dig out some photos for you

Shoemadlady · 08/06/2023 16:01

I'm sorry op but those look like negative tests

PollyDarton1 · 08/06/2023 15:50

I can definitely see the lines, and the idents I've seen with FRER are usually (for me at least) a lot less noticeable than the lines you've posted.

Tentative congratulations and hopefully with a FMU tomorrow you'll get a stronger line Flowers

Laylattc · 08/06/2023 14:52

@Hazelnuttella ah so you may or may not have got a better line on a frer before 16dpo I guess.

Ooh I’ve got some easy@home but have only used them in the afternoon with not much hold so have been bfn’s not sure if that affects it too much? Only done frer with fmu as thought my best bet was frer until all this!

i think tomorrow with fmu I’m going to dip my final
ever frer and an easy@home and a 6 days early clearblue with dp is going to get me on his way home so I can try all 3 in the morning for indent comparison and hope I get something!!

OP posts:
Hazelnuttella · 08/06/2023 14:27

Yes it was 16dpo with my DS (now 2yo) but it was clear blue which aren’t that sensitive.

This time round I used easy@home but didn’t get a very clear positive until 13dpo. Had very faint lines from 10dpo so I know how agonising the waiting is.

Laylattc · 08/06/2023 14:18

@Hazelnuttella thank you! that’s what’s so frustrating getting it three days in a row I don’t know if it’s bad luck or all frer have indents!

i keep going between it’s just indents to it must be something as it keeps happening. I know I know I know you’re right there’s nothing I can do but wait and try again tomorrow morning but it really helps speaking to people about it in the meantime until I can test again :)

ive tried testing in the afternoon and I get nothing not even an indent so that’s also strange that frer all have indents unless taken in the afternoon which makes me think maybe it is something as fmu for me is always stronger and hence the faint lines only showing in the morning. Otherwise it’s really bad luck that the one first response that I didn’t take in the morning was the only one that didn’t have an indent in?

so good to hear your experience! 16dpo seems late to me? I’m ready to write myself off after tomorrow if it’s still not clear at 11dpo!

OP posts:
Laylattc · 08/06/2023 14:07

@KittyAllTheWay I’m hearing so much about frer being awful for indents it’s so cruel! Sorry you’ve been through that too. Never experienced this before and I’ve taken a lot of pregnancy tests!! It’s so frustrating because I’ve heard a lines a line no matter how faint it is and a line is positive and it’s rare to get false positives, it even says that on some instructions, but apparently a lines a line unless it’s an indent and there’s no way to know other than keep testing and being in purgatory until it gets darker or af comes so what’s the point in testing before :(

3 days in a row now all with “indents” it’s so frustrating I’d rather it be stark white if it’s negative, my last month using frer will stick to IC and clear blue next month. I hope we all get our BFclear-as-day-undeniable-P’s

OP posts:
Hazelnuttella · 08/06/2023 14:03

There are definitely lines there and you would be very unlucky to get so many indents.

You know already that the only way to know is keep waiting and keep testing, no easier answer, sorry.

This is how mine started though… had a few nervy days but the lines kept getting stronger.

It’s very early though. In my last pregnancy I didn’t get a positive till 16dpo.

Laylattc · 08/06/2023 13:59

@Ttcmumma thank you, I’ve just got to hope for a darker line tomorrow. Same questions as above really What dpo were you when you had faint lines and when did they start to get darker? Do you reckon if it’s the same again tomorrow and not any clearer or darker then I’m probably out this month? Tomorrow will be 11dpo and af due on Sunday. Really appreciate being able to speak to people about this x

OP posts:
Laylattc · 08/06/2023 13:54

@katiekss oh I really hope so! Still clinging to hope, 10dpo and due af on Sunday so feel like if it’s not darker by tomorrow then its definitely an indent. what dpo were you when you had a faint line and when did it get darker? Thank you!

KittyAllTheWay · 08/06/2023 13:06

I can see something on the contrast one BUT I’ve had AWFUL lines on frer recently 😭 month after month and not been pregnant (grey so I don’t think cp). Just be cautious. I hope it turns into a bfp!

Ttcmumma · 08/06/2023 12:38

May well be the start of something, my first positive last year wasn't showing on camera at all. Next day it was noticeable on camera. From the images I'd say negative but doesn't mean that's correct or you won't get a line in the coming days x

katiekss · 08/06/2023 12:31

I'm going against the grain here and saying positive! I've had really subtle lines like this DPO and absolutely was pregnant. I bet you are too. Will keep everything crossed for you
