@Hotmalibu94 Awh amazing sounds like it's settling down already, no crazy long cycles which is good.
I used NC for 3 years to prevent and loved the app but have moved over to fertility friend now as find it more accurate and detailed. Might be worth charting in both apps to see what they both say. I found NC got my ovulation day wrong by a day or two quite frequently.
This will be our second month trying!

Hotmalibu94 · 08/06/2023 08:41

Hi @riverlodge90 😁
I've not long come off the pill (in April) so things are still settling down! April was 31 days and May was 25 days. I was doing BBT as in the meantime we wanted to try natural cycles as a preventative until we were definitely ready, but it wasn't able to find my ovulation in either month 🙈 so fully prepared that it might take me a little longer!

How long have you been trying?

riverlodge90 · 08/06/2023 08:23

@Hotmalibu94 Hey! I'm also TTC no1 and CD6 today 😊 how long are your cycles usually?

@Pandabumbles I'm so glad it's not just me. I also heard it can dry up CM which is the opposite of what I need, had to halve my antihistamine dose to increase mine from next to nothing! Hopefully will O in the next few days.

@Silverpixieflorence you'll likely find that as you've ovulated late, your period will be late. Luteal phase is always consistent, can occasionally be a day either side of your normal number of days. O can be affected by sooo many things, and is often delayed so if period is late it's because O is late and luteal phase is normal. So absolutely fine in terms of TTC! But if luteal phase is 10 days or less, go to GP but I think it's a simple solution/pills to increase progesterone in the days before your period, gives you time to implant 👍🏻

Silverpixieflorence · 07/06/2023 17:08

@emmatcc1 my cycle has been 28 days every month since I came off the POP last September but I guess this month it could be different 🤷🏼‍♀️ this month is a bit weird as I always get ewcm but had none this month, it's the first time I've done opk's this month and the first time I've seen a peak. I thought you could have a short luteal phase and it can be related to low progesterone? It says online if you have a short luteal phase then there isn't sufficient time for the womb lining to thicken in order for a fertilised egg to implant

emmatcc1 · 07/06/2023 16:25

@Silverpixieflorence So you always ovulate on the same day? If you ovulation is late then af should be late as well and luteal phase stays the same.

Silverpixieflorence · 07/06/2023 16:22

So I've been continuing to test on premom and opk's even though I wasn't sure if I had ovulated and missed it as had a flashing smiley on cb last week but no peak and then low readings on opk/premom. I'm CD18 and it suddenly started climbing this morning and just got my peak this afternoon. I'm pleased to get my peak but worried about a slightly short luteal phase as i'm always on a 28 day cycle. Does anyone else have a short luteal phase?

Pandabumbles · 07/06/2023 12:31

@PeeBeee ahh thanks, that makes sense! DS1 is 18 months and cutting his back molars... not fun, bless him. We're very tired!

@PineappleK yes! I found pregnacare seems to have delayed EWCM appearing so I'm ovulating a couple of days later than normal. I was taking it when I got pregnant with DS1 so feel like it helped (although who knows!)...

PineappleK · 07/06/2023 12:20

I was taking pregnacare pre-conception vitamins and I'm on CD11 with no signs of upcoming ovulation, my LH is so low still (usually starts climbing slowly about 4 days before peaking). So have switched back to Boots own brand, did anyone else have this?

PeeBeee · 07/06/2023 09:20

@Pandabumbles ten day wait as I said I am testing then hahaha! Not an official acronym :)

what ages is ds1? Hope you get some bd’ing in :)

Pandabumbles · 07/06/2023 08:54

@AnonyHB welcome! Yep, first day of AF is CD1! :)

Pandabumbles · 07/06/2023 08:53

@PeeBeee what does tdw stand for?! I thought I'd worked out all the acronyms! Ha

CD14 today for me, expecting positive opk tomorrow I think...DS1 is sleeping so badly at the mo we've had zero energy for BD but will make an effort this eve! 😂

ekm21 · 06/06/2023 21:11

Hello everyone. Officially stopped taking my pill today, so that’s us TTC baby number 2. All happened very quickly last time, so managing my expectations on the process this time round!

AnonyHB · 06/06/2023 19:25

Oh and just to add with my first baby I did use the OPK and never got a solid… but fell pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️

AnonyHB · 06/06/2023 19:21

Hi everyone. Joining as starting TTC second baby this month. Do you count first day of period as first CD? If so then I’m CD10 today. Nice to meet you all and best of luck to everyone!

SouthSpringMoon · 06/06/2023 17:50

@riverlodge90 im 6dpo not really any symptoms yet and quite impatient to test I have to say but trying not to be too hopeful or obsessive if that means anything 😆

SouthSpringMoon · 06/06/2023 17:47

@PeeBeee ahah i was so overwhelmed by the number of acronyms when I joined I thought why not make it even more complicated 🤣🤣 joking

PeeBeee · 06/06/2023 16:14

SouthSpringMoon · 06/06/2023 13:24

@PeeBeee lets the TWW start !! Well like the TDW in your case 😁 finger crossed and let’s enjoy life in the meantime :))

@SouthSpringMoon 😂 took me way too long to realise what tdw stood for!

With sharing when ovulating with the OH my DH keeps asking me and when I said I had a flashing smiley for the first time he moved quicker than I've ever seen him move before 😂😂😂 literally jumped off the sofa like Usain Bolt

Thats so cute 😂☺️

Silverpixieflorence · 06/06/2023 15:20

@PineappleK ah thank you that helps a lot 😊 I was testing twice a day on the cheap opk's and Premom but I only started them after a couple of days of flashing smileys on the cb digitals (as that's when they were delivered) so I'm hoping it's a case of maybe ovulating early or missing the LH surge before I started on premom 😬 still really low readings I'm on CD17 now, really hoping it's not an anovulatory cycle as only had a very very small amount of CM this month compared to usual!

riverlodge90 · 06/06/2023 14:39

@SouthSpringMoon

I'm CD 4 at the moment, period should end today. Will start clue blue ovulation tests around CD 12. Usually ovulate CD16 :)

Where abouts are you?

emmatcc1 · 06/06/2023 14:36

@glasspaw My ovulation day varies between 11-14. Last month it was cd14. I also do opks and bbt but I hate to see the bbt drop two days before af so this time I’ll only track bbt until ovulation is confirmed.
