First tww after loss

Hi All,

I sadly had a MMC mid-April (had a scan for some spotting at 11+4 as my 12 wk scan wasn't due until almost 14wks... and unfortunately baby had stopped developing at 7+5)... am now back hoping to conceive my rainbow baby. Currently 1dpo so right at the beginning of the tww.

Wondered if anyone else is in a similar position and would fancy whiling away some time together?!

Mixed feelings... Obviously longing for another BFP but also slightly scared of getting one and knowing there will be weeks of anxiety ahead. Also trying to not overthink where I'd have been up to with my lost pregnancy if it was still going... So many mixed feelings!

@J2023xx @RoseH36 ah yes, hello from the other threads! Ah not long for you both to wait until AF then... You never know! Quite a while still for me to wait. But I think @J2023xx I'm a bit like you, was mostly curious to see howy body regulates/gets back into rhythm after the loss. So if it happens this month, great, but if not, I'll just be happy to see AF at the expected time etc!

@SnookyPook I hadn't even clocked it was you, I'd chatted to you in the 35+ thread recently. Hopefully your cycle has gotten back to normal for you and you get your rainbow baby soon. 🌈

@J2023xx think you're AF is due similar time to mine. I caved in and ended up working it out, but it depends on my cycle length. Up until this last one they were 28 days, which would be next Friday, but this one was 25 days which would be Tuesday. So sometime next week.

Hi @SnookyPook I’m on some other threads with you. Also in my TWW, although have a short cycle so AF will be due next Friday. We haven’t tried properly this month but didn’t prevent so will see what happens. Just wanted to ease back in after having my first period since miscarriage. And as you both said above, I’m not sure if my cycles will be all over the place for a bit!

@RoseH36 thanks and sorry for your loss too. I completely get what you said about AF... Almost like there's a bit of relief you don't have to deal with the worry yet!

Yeah I'm curious how my cycles will be. I got my peak a couple of days earlier than I usually would but apart from that things have seemed fairly similar. However I gave heard of people having one or two 'normal' cycles and then things going a bit crazy for a while so who knows! Best of luck to you! 🌈🤞🏻

So sorry to hear of your mmc. I had one in January and totally understand the mixed feelings. It's so hard not to think where you'd be up to and to try and stay positive. I'm terrified of what may happen next time so each AF has brought disappointment but also a touch of relief at delaying the anxiety.

It may take a while for your hormones to settle properly. We've had 3 attempts since Jan (currently in our TWW) but this last period was the first one feeling normal with my usual cramping and PMT. Up until then I didn't have those at all which is unusual for me so don't think they'd settled properly.
