Have I ovulated?

Hi - I hope someone can help! I got a positive OPK CD35 and this lasted for 3 days (see images below) and not sure if I've ovulated or not.

My cycles are irregular and this is my first time tracking BBT. Looking at the graphs do you think I've ovulated? I'm so lost with it all and just looking for reassurance!

@Lalalucy123 someone has mentioned a low GI diet to me before and when I briefly looked it's pretty much my diet now - but I need to look more into it so thank you. I've never heard of myo-intositol is this a supplement?

My GP has advised I go for some more bloods and tests so going to go next week has hopefully find out some more information. I was kind of hoping this month would be the month with me having acupuncture, a better diet and vitamins etc but I guess we'll find out!

@ABLOSSOM That is really frustrating. I’ve heard of a lot of people having these kinds of issues after coming off hormonal birth control. For me a mixture of daily Myo-inositol and a low GI diet regulated my cycles however I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Have you asked your GP about ovulation induction using Letrozole or Clomid? It’s a good option for people who aren’t ovulating regularly due to hormonal issues.

@dabs9 thank you for that reassurance - I will keep you updated. I am praying it will increase but not feeling hopeful.

@Lalalucy123 they have been so irregular since coming off my contraception last august (ranging 45 - 96 day cycles). I have been taking conceive plus vitamins and had 2 acupuncture sessions to try and help regulate. I had bloods and an internal scan and been told it's unlikely I have PCOS. But as it's been nearly a year I am really concerned something is wrong. I feel like I am doing all the right things and something just isn't working ☹️

This is the first month of BBT tracking and I feel this is making me feel worse. From examples I've been my temp should be higher during that ovulation stage.... I'm an overthinker if you haven't gathered!

@ABLOSSOM are your cycles usually this long? Have you been diagnosed with PCOS? I know from personal experience the difficulty of trying to conceive with irregular cycles. Your best bet is to try regulate your cycle so your at least getting your chance every month.

dabs9 · 23/05/2023 11:05

@ABLOSSOM yes, after ovulation temp is higher than before ov. And should stay higher until just before your period/ period starts.

Hopefully I can reassure you that I also have long and irregular cycles and have successfully ovulated as late as day 54! 😂 (confirmed with bbt and blood test) so it's definitely possible and hopefully you'll see your temp going up now. X

emmatcc1 · 23/05/2023 10:58

@ABLOSSOM post ovulation temps are higher than pre ovulation.

ABLOSSOM · 23/05/2023 10:56

@dabs9 thank you for getting back to me! Should BBT rise higher than usual? I feel like my temp has been all over the place so starting to think the worst! Especially with me having longer cycles.

Will keep testing and hopefully see an increase!

Hey, I would say your strips look very convincing of ovulation but you need to keep testing bbt to see if it rises over the next few days.
You can only really confirm ovulation with temps if consistently raised for 3 or more days after suspected ov. It does look like it's probably starting to increase today but you just need a few more days to be sure 🙂
