Travelling with kids must be so different to just as a couple, in my mind now being childless, I plan for my maternity leave to be full of lovely abroad holidays! 🤪 I'm sure that's incredibly naive but I'll fool myself a little longer lol.

@dabs9 Oh incredible! We did Peru, Bolivia, Chile... and passed through Argentina and Brazil (spent some time in Rio 💃🏻). Definitely recommended the Inca Trail and climbing Villarrica Volcano! Peru was my favourite 😍 Although Iguazu Falls is incredible! Would love to go back one day.

We met people travelling with little kids. Would love to be like that haha. I think we'll probably venture to New Zealand with kids one day but not more exotic that than.

@LeopardLover ah amazing, where did you visit in South America? We really want to spend as long there as we can and just travel around.
Definitely Peru and Brazil (we've set ourselves the goal of visiting all new 7 wonders of the world lol) but I'd love to go to Chile too. X

@GeoSmed would the fertility check up do anything different than what we've had already?
I've had STI screening, fertility bloods (couple of times) including AMH levels, hycosy/internal ultrasound, husband sperm check and ultrasound of balls lol. Do you think it's worth having it all again to see if any changes?

We've been told they wouldn't offer us IUI due to the sperm and if treatment is required they'd go straight to ICSI. I wonder if private would be different though but if they wouldn't offer on NHS I'm not sure we'd want to risk wasting the money. It's all so difficult knowing what to do for the best isn't it. It's just a stab in the dark lol.

So do you just have 1 more scan before trigger?

Yeah I'm a midwife. I love it but I'm finding it difficult just now with my own fertility struggles, but have to remind myself not to be a self centred bitch and leave my own feelings at home haha. X

@Amy95 the pressure men feel is so sad. But then I think we put just as much pressure and more on ourselves as women to be able to get pregnant. It's all just pretty difficult from both sides when it's not working quickly!

So sorry @dabs9 I totally missed this! yeah they love to call people out on it and just palm you off with that being the answer for everything. I know that stress does have a huge bearing on your cycle. Have you considered just paying for a fertility health check up for you guys? Not to make you worry theirs something wrong, but more the opposite to give you some reassurance. For my Hubs and I, it was £500 which included all my fertility bloods and hormones, an internal ultrasound to check my ovaries, a count of my ovarian reserve, a sperm test for him, and an infection an STI screening. It was really helpful for us but it depends what you feel is going on. I think theirs an at home testing brand too called Hertility that you can do. Might be worth a google!

yeah not sure anyone does to be honest. I'm sorry to hear about your husband :-( IVF might not have to be the answer tho - IUI is really good for male factor. Might be worth looking at that, and it's wayyyyyyyyy cheaper like £1,200 p/round.

Usually trigger around the day 13, today is day 8, but it totally depends on size and your lining etc. And injecting - my husband does it, I can't cope with the thought of doing it myself! Has anyone ever done postal progesterone blood test? (Via Superdrug or similar).
I'm considering doing one this month just to know for definite I didn't ovulate but don't wanna waste my time and money if they're crap.

@Amy95 bless him being nervous! I suppose it feels awkward for them having to produce a sample and then anxious about the result.
With my husband's low morphology he made me promise I wouldn't tell our friends or family about it 😔 bless him, I think it makes them feel so embarrassed which is awful, and like they're the problem if it's not 100% normal results.

I've not booked a holiday yet but booked the time off work. I think we might try Italy in sept, I've never been and really want to!
Then November we have longer off work so want to try maybe South America (I've been avoiding for 2 years due to Zika virus but am at the point I don't see any reason not to go now 🤷‍♀️) xx

Can you imagine if they trigger 3? My husband said if we have triplets he's leaving with Mouse. twins is okay, triplets is making me hyperventilate! 100% back what@Amy95 said. It's enough stress and strain on the body to go through pregnancy, try not to add more load to it by thinking about it and trying to align everything to it. It's hard I know, but it is something that my partner and I are having to work on with the treatment, that it doesn't define our relationship, it just happens in the background. It will happen, it's just a case of now isn't right. Are their any lifestyle changes that you could perhaps make that could help your mental health, physical health and help with making a happy home for a baby? xx

I had both these symptoms the cramps were like a tugging sensation when I coughed/sneezed/deep breath.

I ended up getting a positive at 9DPO with my daughter. Fingers crossed for you x
