@GeoSmed Yes I have PCOS was diagnosed around 16. I don’t have the ‘average’ symptoms with it though but can see the cysts when I’ve had follicle tracking each time.

Ive heard about over responding and expected it when they upped my dosage but literally nothing exceeded 12mm which is nothing and not even classed as dominant. It was really disappointing coupled with the loss of my FIL it was too much and I felt my body really was telling me ‘no not yet’.

So apparently when you give birth most people have more regular cycles and I can say I’ve had more after having my daughter than I did in the 3 years previous but still very long sometimes 100 day + cycles and I don’t think I ovulated on any of them. Turns out you can start a period without ovulating apparently according to the clinic nurses 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I’m CD30 today.

Letrozole side effects aren’t that bad in comparison to Clomid that literally is the devils drug. I get bad night sweats/day sweats and headaches but that’s it

Rubbish news @GeoSmed . I think anyone would have cried!! Hope you have a productive call from the Dr this afternoon.
I have a really heavy feeling that I'm literally about to come on any second. I've been and checked about 4 times this morning! Not due til Saturday but have had a couple of suprise shorter cycles on 25ish days in last few months so just not sure what's happening! Xx

Hoping there's more to be done! I guess they've seen it all before and the Dr will know the best course of action. Hopefully you get that call soon. 🙏🏻

Yeah maybe it showed up because your body was hot from night sweats / bit run down. I woke up in sweat on Friday night, so I bet mine would have been up then too. I'd go with the day you thought and if you can feel it, that's often a better sign. You know your body best after all! What CD is it today then?

Thank you sweet, it's really nice how supportive you all are. It's just so confusing! They said to me all the other months that if anything, I over respond to the drugs (hence the month with 19 ready to release!) but it's just weird that I've regressed. I mentioned that on Monday I bled a LOT, and she said it's unlikely but is going to speak to the consultant.

Not sure yet on next steps - they ring you in the afternoon of a scan to update you on what's next etc. x

They do scans in the AM then discuss the results with the Drs and Consultants in the lunch time meeting, then send you a message on the portal to update you, but she said she'll get my Dr there to ring me instead. Theirs a few things I reckon they could say - Abandon and just reset, up my dose and hope nothing else kicks off, give me oestrogen injections as well to help with my lining, or just abandon and tell me it's IVF time. 😞😕I'm speculating - i'm not the expert, but i'm preparing for any of the above!

Yeah she gave me the details of the councelling service that we get as part of being there, and urged me to contact them, so I might take a look later once I've spoke to my husband.

@UKMummy2one that's amazing that you have had a natural cycle this time! Hopefully that continues and you won't need to use the letrozole at all from now. Do you find the side effects awful? I've heard varying things tbh.

My issue is that I'm ovulating but there can just be so long between! I'd say my cycles on average range 40-48 days.

@GeoSmed if I hadn't decided to do a random bbt on ?3dpo I would be pretty convinced I had ovulated. I got eggwhite mucus and ovulation pain and positive OPK on strips and digital. But had low bbt on 3&4dpo. This morning it was high but I had woken up early hours drenched in sweat (ew) and tossed and turned after that so I'm putting it down to that. I don't believe it's genuinely high. Also have tender boobs which happens in my TWW.

You absolutely responded in a completely normal way, I think any of us would've been upset and frustrated. I hope the nurse didn't make you feel bad.
What are the next steps now? Is there anything they can do to help grow the follicles more? Xx

Yeah it's weird isn't it? The first 2 months of the injections I over responded, but this month I responded initially and I've just stopped. So i'm so confused and I just don't understand what's going on. one had even regressed! It makes no sense, and no sense that it worked before, but not this time for you. Do you think it is because you gave birth since then?

Really sorry you lost you FIL. It's o hard when something like that throws you but it also makes you reassess how you feel about all of this - suddenly feels so insignificant right? Have you thought about acupuncture at all?

It is super hard when you're not regular and each month can be totally different as you don't know when to predict your due day. How long has it been in this cycle so far?

Unfortunately not good all round. My body just hasn't responded to the injections since Monday and one has ruptured, 1 is the same size, and the other has shrunk, and my lining is none existent. Broke down in the appointment like a mug and the nurse bless her was really sweet, but she was also a bit like ermmmmmm ....👀

no symptoms are defo not a bad thing though! Oh I thought you did a PT not an OPK. x

@GeoSmed No I haven’t been on Letrozole since January and that was 5mg, monitored cycles yes. Previous cycle 2.5mg.

When I conceived with my first i literally had nothing until CD18 & produced just one follicle, ovulated CD21 when it was around 23mm which ended up being my daughter. Miracle baby!

This time I didn’t respond at all, which to me suggested my body wasn’t ready as I know it can respond and has done previously. I decided to take some time out as lost my father in law (lots of stress / grief) and go back to reflexology/meditation etc as that is what I did with my daughter.

I’m so pleased to just have a ‘normal’ cycle as I never have them so pleased about that but makes it difficult as I don’t expect another immediately after, which means I don’t know ‘when I’m late’ 🥴

Great that you naturally had a cycle without the support of the meds. Definitely progress! Maybe hold off testing until maybe Saturday (if you can!) it's a horrible anxious time those 2 weeks!

@dabs9 I also decided to do this, I conceived on 2.5mg of Letrozole with my daughter in 2019 but this year 2 cycles on Letrozole 2.5mg / 5 mg and nothing.

I have the prescription for 7.5mg but decided to take a few months out to work on myself and I came on naturally this cycle which is very very unusual 😱 So decided to try as my body must be ready.

Disappointed to see BFN this morning but then again only 11/12 dpo and that’s going off two days I was cramping on and off with egg white/watery discharge.

Exactly a week after for two days (last Friday/Saturday) had bloating, cramps, frisky 😅 and quite tired with creamy CM 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I assumed this may be implantation with the cramps but had nothing since.

I had tugging sensations early pregnancy with my first, also nipples were very sensitive/itchy and I’ve got none of that.

I think I’ll wait a few days until I test again or until I get some symptoms.

Awww well you've just gone against all your advice to @Amy95 😂When are you due on, or does it vary? Well unfortunately the twin manifesting didn't work I'm afraid 😞But I can pray for you having them instead!

Ah okay, good that you have a benchmark in your head that you are going to draw a line and then seek some help. It's good you have that in the background. Letrozole they wanted to put me on but I said no as the side effects are grim, and also it's likely my body wouldn't respond to them so they ruled them out.

How long are your cycles normally or do you really vary month to month? Is there no consistancy? Do you feel like you've ovulated already or not? x

I really hope so! Today is day 34 and my longest cycle was 35 days so if it doesn't come tomorrow then I would officially be late🤞🏼 it doesn't turn up🤞🏼🤍

I really hope so! A few people have said they can see a line and others have said they can't so I'm just going to have to try and wait Atleast until Friday and see if the bfp or period comes first! 😩🤞🏼x

Not because of any other reason than doing it for the lolz, I tested at 10DPO and obviously got a BFN 😅 I know 30% of women who test this early still get positives but it's unlikely. Feel totally fine though, still on track to get that April baby 😅🙏🏻
