Hi ladies,

Recently got my BFP (will be 5 weeks tomorrow) 🥰and wondered if anyone has also recently got their BFP and would like to join this thread?

I'm 33, been actively TTC for around 6 months, This is my second pregnancy as I had a MMC at 8 weeks at the end of 2021. But if successful will be my first baby 🙏🏼✨ took a break in between as I was getting married.

Really hoping for a positive healthy pregnancy this time✨🤞🏻

@Ella31 I’m the same, just constantly feel ill and tired. I’ve been sick again this morning but I know what you mean about feeling guilty…I feel like all I’ve done is complain and be pessimistic so far even though it’s all I’ve wanted for so long, but it’s so hard to feel excited until I know everything’s going to be fine.

My family keep telling me to enjoy the pregnancy but it’s hard when you’ve had loss because you just know being pregnant (and all that goes with it) doesn’t always equate to having a bouncing baby at the end - otherwise I’m sure we wouldn’t mind feeling terrible for now!

How far along were your previous losses if you don’t mind me asking? Mine was nearly 9 weeks (8+5) but didn’t find out until the 12 week scan, so I feel apprehensive coming into 8 weeks this time because of this.

I was 7 and 2 the first one and a chemical on the second. Aw yeah I'm thinking of asking the doctor for relief at the next appointment, I ate nothing today. I'm sorry about your losses too. You never forget it.

Oh wow @Ella31 exciting! Hope it goes well for you 😊

@CaribbeanCupcake I’ve been sickly feeling every day but only actually been sick once (two days ago, after a bumpy car journey) and haven’t been sick since. My boobs have been sore though off and on!

Tbh I was super anxious for a while and crying a lot due to having a missed miscarriage my previous pregnancy, but I’ve calmed down a bit now and I’m just going to see what happens at the 12 week scan as nothing I do before then will change the outcome. But it is definitely such a stressful time the first trimester!!

How have you (and anyone else here 👋) been finding it?

Very sick at the moment too. I feel guilty because I complained so much after my two losses about not being pregnant and to be honest I'm miserable at the mo. So tired and nauseated every day.

CaribbeanCupcake · 02/06/2023 16:46

@Coinicon aww bless you, mmc must have been awful. I get you on the anxious front tho every day I'm terrified something will go wrong 😭
Ive had one evening of cramps, and nothing else! I had a nap this afternoon which is unlike me but I didn't have the longest sleep last night so think just tired in general. It's scary having no symptoms coz I literally feel the same as normal 🙈

@Coinicon I downloaded that app too 🤣 Wow and how are you feeling? I'm 5 weeks tomorrow so still super early days! X

Ella31 · 01/06/2023 15:26

8 weeks Monday too. First scan Tuesday

Coinicon · 01/06/2023 12:23

@clearlyy @CaribbeanCupcake I’m glad it’s not just me, I feel like my phone is monitoring everything I do 😅 I have downloaded the Pregnancy+ app so I wondered if that was it but I guess I do search a LOT of pregnancy questions now 🤣

  • I’ll be 8 weeks on Monday @CaribbeanCupcake! What about you?
CaribbeanCupcake · 31/05/2023 14:47

@Coinicon omg yes!! I'm so worried someone is going to see something over my shoulder and guess 🙈
How far along are you?

clearlyy · 31/05/2023 14:03

@Coinicon mine was completely F1 related, now it's completely baby related! Mad!

Coinicon · 31/05/2023 14:02

Also has anyone else’s social media algorithm completely changed to be totally pregnancy focused? 🤰

Coinicon · 31/05/2023 14:01

Sorry to see so many people here have also had losses and experience in infertility, I really hope we all have our precious babies this time 🤍

@Tempelizyou’re so right, there definitely isn’t a lot of support for the first trimester and yet it is such a scary time! I’ve been so anxious this pregnancy, I haven’t been anywhere near as sick this time which made me start to doubt if I even was pregnant…until the past two days, now I’ve been feeling really ill and (TMI) gagging/wretching/my body’s beginning to try throw up 😶 Totally put off cooking food but don’t want to live off takeaway 😂

CaribbeanCupcake · 31/05/2023 10:04

@Infertilitylife no symptoms at all! My boobs are sore but have been since day before transfer due to the meds so I'm not taking that as a sign. And Im sleepy but been waking up at 5am every morning and not been able to get back to sleep so think it's that! X

@Tempeliz I get what you mean about the anxiety. So sorry for your chemical- no experience but this is my first pregnancy ever and so scared something is going to do wrong especially coz it took so long to get here. At least we can support each other on here x

Tempeliz · 31/05/2023 08:45

Hi again everyone!

I’m 5+4 weeks today. Had really bad fatigue first couple of weeks after conceiving but that has settled down now. Boobs still sore and have grown loads 😬 and have been having some cramping / pulling type pains in my lower stomach. Some nausea late in the evening sometimes, weirdly! How is everyone getting on?

I’m struggling a bit with anxiety tbh! I feel like there’s not much support out there in this early stage of pregnancy so I’m looking forward to my first scan for some reassurance. Feel so paranoid something will go wrong.

Infertilitylife · 31/05/2023 08:36

@CaribbeanCupcake That's ok :) Thank you - it still doesn't feel real does it. I'm feeling really nauseous on and off and i'm so tired all the time. Do you have any symptoms? x

Janeykat · 31/05/2023 08:35

Can I join? Congratulations everyone!!
Im only 12dpo and just got a proper positive test today so very early days, trying not to get too excited, had a chemical in February so hoping that doesnt happen again🤞

CaribbeanCupcake · 31/05/2023 08:29

@Infertilitylife aww sorry I read your comment earlier and thought it was fresh for some reason! 🤦🏻‍♀️ thank you and congratulations to you too! Such a strange feeling after waiting so long isn't it! Do you have any symptoms?

Infertilitylife · 30/05/2023 22:22

@CaribbeanCupcake mine was a frozen transfer too 🙂congratulations on your BFP!!

@twobcomthree i had an early scan last Saturday when I was 6 weeks exactly. I had some very light brown blood and cramps. However, baby was found with a strong heartbeat. Cramps and bleeding gone too!

CaribbeanCupcake · 30/05/2023 22:22

@twobcomthree thanks so much, yes I'm 14dpt today so very early days!
Congratulations to you too and everyone else on this group! Wishing us all happy and healthy pregnancies ❤️❤️❤️

twobcomthree · 30/05/2023 22:17

Congrats @CaribbeanCupcake 🫶🏻 so amazing to hear that, sounds like quite a journey! wishing you all the best 🥰

Sounds like your pretty early so wouldn't worry about any lack of symptoms yet 😀

Can I join please? Got my first ever BFP yesterday- similar to @Infertilitylife mine was a frozen transfer tho. After 3 1/2 years of TTC I'm still in shock and it doesn't feel real! Also having no symptoms isn't helping that either 🙈

twobcomthree · 30/05/2023 22:02

Ah lovely to hear @Coinicon congrats and wishing you a healthy pregnancy ✨

Hows everyone feeling this week? Has anyone had any early scans? X

Hi!

I’m just over 7 weeks and also had a MMC (New Years Eve 2020) so taken a while to get here! I have no children currently and this is a much wanted pregnancy, I hope everyone on this thread has a beautiful outcome 🤍

In regards to not drinking, if I’m doing anything on a Saturday night I just say I drank too much the night before and that I’m currently living off water. It’s worked well so far!

BTW@Ziska93 that is so cute, I’d love to share the experience with a friend!

Ziska93 · 30/05/2023 15:22

I just found out that a friend of mine is also expecting! She’s about 2-3 weeks ahead of me, so I’m jealous she gets to go to her scan first :( (I’m tired of waiting for even just the first appointment which will be at 10 weeks!!!!!!) … but mostly just excited that we get to share this experience with each other!

Oh wow theres a few of us in the same position- great to hear - congrats all and thanks for sharing💕✨

@Ella31sorry for your losses and sending positive vibes to you!

Symtom wise, so far i've only really had sore boobs and occasional light cramps.. oh and ocassional headaches too!

I've off to a wedding next weekend and a number of friends/ close family will be I have no idea how i'm going to hide the not drinking as will be very unusual for me not to be swigging the wine 😂 anyone have any tips for me?!

Same. I've had on and off cramps , they alarmed me at first but I've gotten used to them. I'm really tired in the evenings though. Got a 3 plus weeks on a digital yesterday so happy with that. I'm 6 weeks today. I've my dating scan tomorrow two weeks so can't wait. So lovely to see you all on the same journey. It can be quite lonely when you can't tell anyone.
