1DPO and starting the TWW - who's with me?

Third cycle ttc #1, 2nd cycle using opks.

Ovulated yesterday (peak on Wednesday) and dtd Wednesday night.

I've got 23-25 day cycles and seem to have a 11 day luteal phase, so due on the 30th.

Anyone else around the same dpo wanting to ride the tww out together?

Hoping to hold off on testing until I'm 10dpo at the earliest, but we'll see.

Gearing up for the symptom spotting to begin in a week or so, even though I know I shouldn't.

@LeopardLover aww I feel that I had insomnia on the Sunday which is very normal for me on o day, so I blamed the first big sleep on that and now I'm blaming the hot weather lol

With my eldest I was just exhausted didn't even think pregnancy until af was late as wasn't trying.

But with my youngest (both boys) I literally had sickness very early on I was so sure he was a girl because of it lmao 🤣 but I didn't get a bfp until 9dpo with him c:

ddaisynner · 26/05/2023 07:52

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess I did :) got my peak last Saturday (20th). And I'm bbt charting. Tbh I know the bloating, etc is due to the rise in progesterone which is common after o and before af :) I got a dip at 2dpo which is fallback rise so now awaiting implantation dip eagerly lmao 🤣

my youngest I literally without joking started being sick the day after contraception. (Was ovulation day at the same time) But I'm pretty sure it was a sickness bug that then turned into morning sickness as it kept going 🤣

@ddaisynner I'm 5DPO too 😊 have also been sleeping loads but I think I'm still catching up from Monday's early flight and returning to work after a holiday 😴 Or just life with a crazy toddler. I'm looking forward to potentially getting symptoms next week, although I didn't really get any (other than a headache / cramping) with my son! And that was all really far into My TWW and beyond 😅

You never know @Amy95 it could absolutely be your month.

Hoping to make this a lucky thread with lots of bfp

Praying for a miracle, do you ever get the same views I do half way through 2ww I always think I'm out 😂 maybe it's cause it's been so long xx

Hellsbells89 · 26/05/2023 07:41

@Pastaf0rbreakfast and @XenaTheWarriorPrincess thanks both. It's obviously exciting but I just don't get that buzz of excitement I used to get which is so sad now, although if it was negative I know I would have been so disheartened and upset, crazy emotions. When I was pregnant with my son I was so chilled, hardly tested, even though I'd MC before his pregnancy, now after having a further two this year I think I'll end up testing until 12 weeks 🥴.

@XenaTheWarriorPrincess hope you get the BFP today but honestly you're in a good mindset that you know it could still be too early, how many DPO are you? I find 12 DPO seems to be the earliest you get that first faint line.

Are you tracking ovulation @ddaisynner?

At 5dpo you wouldn't be able to have any pg symptoms yet, but fingers crossed for that bfp for this month!

I look forward to looking for squinters on your tests in a couple of days then 😅

I used the easy at home cheapies last cycle and like an absolute maniac managed to blow through them all because i thought i saw a faint line on the one i did at 8dpo. Used 20 tests in 5 days before AF showed up. Some were dipped in wee, some in water, and some even in Tango to try and determine if it was an indent 😅

So I'm just picking up a couple of £1 clear and simple midstream tests from Savers (10mui) and banning myself from buying more unless AF is late. We'll see how that plan goes.

Fingers crossed for you I do agree the ttw is so long and boring. I had a sharp pain last month around CD 7 and I was so sure it was implantation but bfp never arrived i think we obsess so much to our bodies we notice little things its defo hard. But I always say your not out until af arrives. I'm a poas addict 🤣 like from 7dpo haha! 100% terrible I told myself I need to stop because wasting so much money on tests. So this month I just got the cheapies to waste and then one digital that I'll use if I miss af.

5dpo today. I've literally been sleeping so much every night and yesterday I even had a 2 hour nap but I blamed the hot weather and the cheeky maccies haha! But I've been having vivid dreams the last 2 days and woke up with a 'not a daughter' dream so I'm like well guess I'm having another boy 🤣🤣 but then they say you dream the opposite so who knows. And it's uncomfortable to lie on my stomach just feels weird and tender. And gosh the gas so bad 🤣 boobs are tender but that's normal for after 0. I just want it to be next week already

I get cramps for days after ovulation. Nothing major but I can feel it. Usually on the side I ovulated from. I think its pretty common

I also get ovulation pain that feels a bit different. Again, it's pretty common.

Not everyone gets it though.

Maybe That's the cramps I've got , I did feel really positive this month but now not so much 😂 I don't know why but I don't think it's my month xx

Haha, thanks @Amy95 I know it'll be too early and it'll be negative, but unless I actually do it and see the negative I'll obsess over it all damn day 😅

Hopefully tomorrow's gives me at least a sniff of something though, will have to wait and see!

How are you feeling today?

I get so excited around the time you can finally poas , I got my fingers crossed , maybe you will be surprised 🤞 yeah I'm absolutely fine still cramps ,just weird I've heard some women get cramps around ovulation? But surly now that should of stopped , it's like stretching cramp but not hurting where I'd have to take pain killers it's just there xx

Morning ladies,

So, despite saying I'd wait til Sunday to test, I've made an executive decision to pick up a test today to do with tomorrow's fmu.

That tiny spot of pink a couple of days ago COULD have been implantation. The UTI I thought was coming never really developed, I did drink a lot of water though to try and flush it before it fully formed. If it was implantation, there's a good chance I'd get a faint positive tomorrow morning on a sensitive test.

If it's negative, it likely wasn't IB and I'll just test again Monday then Wednesday if no AF Tuesday. Just can't stop thinking about that spot of blood, so testing a little earlier should give me some answers!

Who am I kidding, I'll buy two tests and do one straight away then one tomorrow morning 😅 expecting a bfn today, but I won't be able to stop thinking about it if I don't do it.

The last bit sounds more like me 😂 saying your going hold off and just cave 😂 Ive for my fingers crossed for you 🤞❤️ xx

Oh I totally agree @XenaTheWarriorPrincess I don’t think I am any more than 3dpo and I definitely need to relax. Every ‘symptom’ I have can be explained by something else. I think my brain has gone into overanalysing tonight as DH is out and I’m doing some (very boring) work so my mind is wandering!

Last time I fell pregnant was on a cycle I wasn’t tracking so didn’t really note any symptoms and the time definitely went quicker. I think my first symptom was fatigue at around 12dpo.

Got lots of things planned between now and when AF due so hopefully the time passes quick.

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 25/05/2023 22:26

Hard as it is, just try to relax a bit @Pastaf0rbreakfast.

The more relaxed you are, the faster time will go!

Did you say you're 3dpo? If so, unless you're actually more dpo than that, you wouldn't be able to have any pg related symptoms unfortunately. Its not biologically possible yet.

Sorry, not trying to be a Debbie downer or anything 😅 just know it helps me to know that 100% anything before 6/7dpo at the absolute earliest is impossible to be pg related. Helps me relax a bit for the first week at least.

Implantation can only happen from 6dpo onwards (although 7dpo+ is more common) and hcg isn't released until Implantation.

Definitely sucks that we have to wait so damn long to find out if we're successful, but even if we knew when an egg had been fertilised, it's something like a 50% chance it'll actually successfully implant, which sucks.

I’m sure our minds play tricks on us and make us analyse things as well @Amy95. I was just sat in bed feeling ravenous so have eaten some oatcakes and hummus even though I had a perfectly filling dinner this evening. Also feeling super thirsty. Both most likely due to breastfeeding a toddler but I can’t shake the feeling it could be something else - I keep telling myself it’s too early but just can’t stop the symptom spotting!!!

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 25/05/2023 22:12

Oh congrats @Hellsbells89, keep us updated when you test again!

I'm now being thoroughly kicked in the arse by my hayfever and praying I don't get another nasty sinus infection like last month from it.

Expected cramps to start today but nothing substantial yet, just the leg aches this morning. Can happen anytime between 3-5 days before period though, so next couple of days most likely. Absence of the strong pre-AF cramps would be a very positive sign as it happens every single cycle 3-5 days before AF.

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 25/05/2023 21:43

So exciting @Hellsbells89 I hope you continue to get positive tests!

I’m okay thanks, I’ve been having some joint pain and aching pains in my thighs which is not usual for me. I do get it sometimes 1/2 days before my period but never this early, however at 3dpo it’s unlikely to mean anything!

I never really get cramps unless I'm actually on af so it's so weird just weird feeling , it's crazy how everyone is different , tww is so slow and boring 😂 xx

Pastaf0rbreakfast · 25/05/2023 21:43

@Amy95 I'll try and hold off and test in a couple of days. Although I have lots of the cheap ones so I might do one of those in the morning and save the CB ones for a few days down the line.

You have so much will power I'd be poas first thing in the morning 😂xx

Eeeek! Congratulations! Such wonderful news 😍
