Do ovulation tests even work?

I've been ovulation testing for the last ten days, and so far haven't seen hide nor hare of a second line. I must have ovulated by now, but still nothing showing up. What are people's experiences of these tests? Should I just give up?

well, as my last two pregnancies (both MC) were a bit of a shock I decided that I must ovulate early so have been testing since 4 days after my period finished. Even if I was a late ovulater, it should have happened by now. Very confused.

I found them really good and used them v.effectivly to get pregnant. From day what - to day what did you test ???
