Hi ladies,

Month 10 of TTC #2. I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle.

I have a one year old daughter who took almost a year and a half to conceive. I previously had a chemical pregnancy not long before she was conceived.

Really hoping this cycle will bring good news ❤️

Please feel free to join if your ovulation is around 26th/27th April and/or AF due around 7th/8th/9th May.

Wishing luck to us all xx

Ooh can I join? We're kind of not actively trying but have stopped contraception and are just going to see what happens. I obviously took it as a sign to have a go on opks, lol. I think I had my peak on the 26th and I'm guessing I ovulated yesterday (27th) so today must be 1dpo.

This is the first cycle we've actually DTD around the fertile time as we did it 1 and 2 days before ovulation, so there is a chance! Look forward to symptom spotting with y'all. I'm so bad for it so will probably report nausea tomorrow. 😂

WhiteHorse92 · 28/04/2023 14:01

Also TTC #2. Technically on cycle 4 I think. Had a chemical in January in cycle 1 and conceived cycle 3 but unfortunately had a miscarriage just shy of 6 weeks pregnant. I don't use OPKs but reckon I've ovulated at some point this week or about to due to ovulation signs. Miscarriage only started 2 weeks ago though so not sure if that will have messed with my ovulation and cycles. I had strong positive tests 28 days after last period so will probably test on 13th May if I don't get my period. Good luck!

TTCing · 28/04/2023 13:50

It’s really interesting to hear how everyone has such different experiences of TTC.

I know my husband has a fertility issue. This was diagnosed through the GP doing some tests. However, I have been pregnant three times (albeit, two of those were chemical pregnancies). So I know I can get pregnant. It just takes, I think, longer than I’d like!

I am hoping I’m more fertile after my chemical last month, but I don’t know if it’s a myth.

@suz2285 do you have any recommendations for a good thermometer? I've been doing mine too for a while now but I'm not sure mine is very accurate. I think I'm 2dpo today and my temp jumped up yday but today was close to pre ovulation.

suz2285 · 28/04/2023 12:47

@TTCbabyR yea I monitor bbt as well, mainly to confirm ovulation!

Know what you mean about fertile week! Husband would tell you he's always ready to dtd but in reality not the case! Some days are a real struggle... which is not much fun!

Jb2189 · 28/04/2023 12:38

Hope it's OK to join.

Our first cycle ttc after a mmc last month. Had my peak opk yesterday so likely ovulate today. I forgot how long the 2 week wait feels and I'm not even 1dpo yet 😂🙈

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2023 12:28

@TTCbabyR my cycles have always been really regular, but that last two years have Definitely been mixed up. Anyway, things seem to be back on track the last 6/7months. I also need to remember I’m 36 and OH is 45 so fertility isn’t on our side

missmoosh · 28/04/2023 12:24

@TTCbabyR oh I really do hope so! How did you find your hycosy, I know a lot of people say it can hurt?
The things we do for a baby!

Hahhaa I feel the comment about not expecting OH to not want to dtd 😂😂😂 especially this far into trying!

TTCbabyR · 28/04/2023 12:06

@Mummyme87 I agree that there must be some sort of link to delayed ovulation and covid vaccines. I know everything you read says it's a very short side effect, but my cycles were pretty regular before I had the vaccines and now they're anything between 26-48 days! (Also not anti vax but I don't think I'll have any more covid ones while TTC).

Amazing that your progesterone in Feb confirmed ovulation! It's so nice to have that reassurance 😊

TTCbabyR · 28/04/2023 12:01

@missmoosh I had a hycosy in November. I think similar to a lap & dye but inserted the dye through my cervix instead of abdominally.
I've heard so many positive stories about people getting pregnant after these types of tests because it flushes your tubes. I think they say it's around 6 months you're expected to be more fertile for afterwards so fingers crossed for you!

@happyclam Hi! I think the best thing in the TWW is to try and pretend it's not happening.. but it's almost impossible to do. Have also heard lots about pomegranate juice and keeping warm!

I find it so funny planning to DTD so much around my FW. I never thought my husband would refuse sex but the poor guy can't keep up 😂

Does anybody monitor BBT?

missmoosh · 28/04/2023 11:53

@Mummyme87 that is very interesting about the covid/vaccine, I do remember reading a lot about the vaccine delaying periods, so you could very well be right with that being the cause!
Glad to hear you are now successfully ovulating!

I went private, whilst I wait for my nhs referral in case I do need ivf or anything like that (46 week wait currently for first nhsappointment). they did the lap&dye, my tubes are all clear but I did have some adhesions, they could even see the left hand side because of them!(not endo though interestingly). I'm really hoping that them sorting those out and just flushing through my tubes will help...i have a host of health issues that I can't do anything else about, so each month I'm slowly losing faith it's ever going to happen! Sorry for the info dump there! Can tell this ttc is turning me a tad crazy

happyclam · 28/04/2023 11:26

@Mummyme87 that was meant for you^ still getting used to how the site works!!

happyclam · 28/04/2023 11:25

Thank you! Yes DTD is on the agenda for the day / weekend 😁 it feels very weird to talk about it like that having spent the last 14 years actively trying not to get pregnant!
pomegranite juice and fluffy socks it is.

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2023 11:15

@missmoosh ive got two children already that I had no issues conceiving, so this journey has been a struggle. I did have bloods done last year and a scan, scan all fine, thyroid fine, prolactin/FSH normal, however found my progesterone was low in TWW indicating I hadn’t ovulated. I genuinely believe after some searching around that my lack of ovulation has been related to having covid multiple times and the vaccines (I’m not anti vax however), so I haven’t had any since September 2021 and not had covid since July 2022 that I’ve been aware of anyway and my ovulation symptoms started again in September/October 2022. Did progesterone bloods in February cycle which confirmed ovulation and had a chemical pregnancy last cycle which confirms ovulation so feeling positive. Had I not had the CP last cycle I would have been booking private fertility appts, not for IVF but further investigations (I was worried I had a blocked tube, or maybe needed clomid).

anyway, that was long. So yes I’ve had some fertility tests but no experience of lap and dye

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2023 11:10

@happyclam I would suggest DTD today aswell as you will likely ovulate today or tomorrow. Don’t act like you’re pregnant, just go about as normal. Lots of recommendations for pomegranate juice daily in the TWW, keeping your feet toasty warm as apparently toasty feet toasty uterus ☺️ but I mean go ahead like normal, ignore all symptoms and try and hold out for a missed period before testing (which we will all tel you here that it’s virtually impossible!!!)

happyclam · 28/04/2023 10:56

Hi everyone! I’d love to join please 😊

I’m 30 and this is my first ever month TTC, had positive LH test yesterday and DTD…

I feel a bit lost with what to do now 🙈 do I act like I’m pregnant until AF does or doesn’t come? Can I use the jacuzzi at the swimming pool?? Any tips or guidance very welcome…

missmoosh · 28/04/2023 10:36

Here*

missmoosh · 28/04/2023 10:36

@Mummyme87 sorry to hear about your ectopic.
Seems as though a few of us on this thread have been trying for quite some time, I really hope our time comes soon!
Has anybody hear had any experiences with a lap & dye, or any other fertility investigations?

Daniki · 28/04/2023 09:53

Oh @Mummyme87 sorry to hear about your eptopic 😩

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2023 09:49

Yup agreed on the ‘it to not takes one’, my ectopic pregnancy, we had sex once after coming off the pill and I swear I wasn’t in FW…. Yet here I am 19months in to ttc 😣

Daniki · 28/04/2023 09:26

@TTCing it only takes 1! Last July we weren't really trying and we only dtd like three times that month, I was just fully recovered from surgery I had in April and I was really surprised to find I was pregnant! I lost it unfortunately but shows dtd only a few times works 😁 xx

TTCing · 28/04/2023 09:19

@Freya8 welcome ❤️ I hope this month is more positive for you xxx

@suz2285 sorry about your miscarriage. I hope your cycle returns to normal this month 🤞

@TTCbabyR your journey to baby number 1 thus far sounds very similar to my journey conceiving baby number 1. Except I had a chemical pregnancy after the 12 month mark. Sending you lots of love and luck. You’re definitely not alone in this journey. We’re all in solidarity with you. Xxx

i didn’t manage to dtd last night or the night before 😔 the night before last my husband worked really late and didn’t come to bed until midnight. Last night, I fell asleep about 9pm so it didn’t happen - aaaghhh! So I think we dtd 1 and 3 days before ovulation or maybe 2 and 4 days before ovulation (not sure if I ovulated on 26th or 27th April). Hoping for the best but don’t feel my chances are great!

love to you all xxx

My tagging is working sorry

oh gosh, that is frustrating not even knowing how long it is normally as well. I do think the most common day to implant is 9dpo, so hopefully if you are successful your body will do its thing still even with it being on the short side.

Welcome its a really lovely place for support, and you can drop in and out whenever you need. It can be a really isolating time, especially as the woman we are the ones constantly symptom spotting tracking etc.

Although we say we have been TTC for 10 months, we were trying for over a year before but health issues meant we wouldn't be successful, so I understand how hard the time passing and nothing happening can be. I'm yet to see even a hint of a line.

suz2285 · 28/04/2023 07:39

@missmoosh last 2 luteal have been 8-9 days... very quick, however my cycle is a mess after coming off the pill, pregnant, MC and now this... so I've no idea what my 'real' length is now! I feel like I'm still trying to balance hormones from last year still

@TTCbabyR good luck, I've heard morphology is the least concerning, as long as there is enough of them and they can move! Fingers crossed for you! Totally hear you on the stressful and feeling alone part though, but once you've had a quick look on here you'll realise you're far from alone

TTCbabyR · 27/04/2023 19:10

Hi everyone,

I hope it’s ok to join.
Currently 1dpo on month 16 TTC #1.
I’ve never posted on here before but starting to feel so alone in this journey and it’s so nice to see so much support from everybody!

I’ve never been pregnant before but get my hopes up every month! My husband has low sperm morphology, which our fertility clinic assures us shouldn’t impact conceiving naturally.. but all other tests have come back normal. Hoping for a miracle between now and September before IVF referral 🤞

Wishing lots of luck and baby dust to us all! 💖
