@BertLiv a sorry, now I see you are 6d now... a bit early to test, but I wouldn't be able to hold with those symptoms 🙈😅

Morning Ladies
Has anyone ever had stomach cramps after a transfer? Not period-type cramps, but hunger/trapped wind cramps. I had them last Friday, badly overnight, and they keep reappearing. Peppermint tea helps, but I don't know if they are to do with the transfer, implantation, the drugs or nothing at all to do with the IVF...
I didn't have this when we did our last round...

I have hunger/traped wind cramps when I have positive tests..(yeah ended all chemical later).... How many days after transfer? Are you planning to test early? I am very bad early tester 🫣 always need to know even if chemical

Fingers crossed that tiredness and sleepless nights are not only because of nerves! For me it is actually a positive symptom always 🙏
I am on stimulation week of my last EC, this time I got as side effect for downregg pills- tongue blisters, numbness and one side inside was swollen.. really cannot wait to finish it 😖

I really hope that it is - but I don't dare hold out too much hope! I'm not a great sleeper anyway and I've completely dropped caffeine, so thinking it might be to do with that as well. But, I definitely don't normally take naps or lie down, and I really needed to on Saturday, so who knows!
Those side effects sound awful! Poor you!! The things we do for our little miracles...

Hello ladies!
Hope everyone is well! I'm 5dp5dt and trying desperately hard not to overthink each cramp etc. I feel shattered as I keep waking up multiple times per night, but trying to counter the lost sleep by trying to have naps during the day, if I need to, so really hoping that won't affect implantation.
Why does the tww have to feel so long?!
Xx

@Noodles4Me i found the biopsy a bit painful tbh, but I think I’m pretty flaky when it comes to cervical stuff 🫣 I didn’t have any painkillers, if I were to do another id be taking some painkillers before just to ease it a little bit. But so many other women don’t find it anything more than uncomfortable 👌🏼👌🏼

BertLiv · 15/02/2024 14:45

Hello ladies,
Hope everyone is well!
We had our scan today and all looked good and our next ET has been booked in for next Wednesday! Praying all goes well and this round works!

TT82 · 14/02/2024 15:53

@Noodles4Me no no, biopsy is not awful, it is a bit unpleasant but very fast. HyCoSy to check tubes is awful and long 😳 But biopsy is ok, don't stress yourself 🙏

@Kelb79 waiting for the pictures!!! All the best with the delivery ❤️

Noodles4Me · 14/02/2024 15:43

@Kelb79 congrats. So happy for you and glad you found IVF Life Alicante a positive experience. Please tell me honestly - is the endometrial biopsy awful?😢

@TT82 There is a lot involved for me. There might not be for you, but as I’ve never done any IVF at all before, everything is new. And a bit overwhelming.

October1979 · 14/02/2024 14:48

It is @Kelb79. But they are all very good babies. They love a routine! And I wouldn't have it any other way! They are just about on their feet and will be 1 next month. Time has flown in. I can't believe you're 39 weeks. Nearly there! You must be so excited. How have you been? xxx

Kelb79 · 14/02/2024 11:08

@Noodles4Me and @TT82 im with IVF Life in Alicante and couldn’t recommend them more 🙏🏼 currently 39 weeks with my first DE transfer. I did 3 OE ECs previously to only get 3 aneuploid embryos. In the middle of those I did a mock transfer cycle with endometrial biopsy (this was my own choice to make sure everything would be ok).
any questions I’m totally happy to help 👌🏼

@October1979 lovely to see you pop up! How are the gang? ❤️🙏🏼 life with triplets must be insane 🤣😁😍

TT82 · 14/02/2024 09:37

@October1979 yeah only after reading lots of MN chats I realised that DE doesn't mean fast success at all.. It still might rake a few attempts and there might be other complications, not just related to my poor egg quality. That's why I want to make a list of 2-3 clinics max and talk to them and decide fast, once my last OE cycle is over. Doesn't mean I have given up on those 37 follicles apparently I have 😅 but just if again no luck, I need to be able to move fast.
Well that's what I hope... as last time bad news really took me down..

Thank you all for your support here!! Xx

October1979 · 14/02/2024 09:26

@TT82 our first transfer failed but our second was successful xxx

Thank you @October1979 ! Gynem moved to number 1 position 😊

October1979 · 14/02/2024 08:59

@GingerFox2021 @TT82 I went to Gynem in Prague and used frozen donor eggs which resulted in our triplets. We found them really good. Good luck! Xxx

@Noodles4Me hi, wow such a complicated long process! I hoped it is just like you prepare with hormones the lining and transfer... 😳 Do they always do mock cycle? And so much biopsy... I had it twice recently as there was inflammation mild (though no infection) abd they put me on antibiotics, I really didn't like the procedure at all 🫣
Thank you for thr clinic recommendation, will research it too! Xx

Noodles4Me · 14/02/2024 08:00

@TT82 hi. I’m currently in my mock cycle. I’ll be going for an endometrial ultrasound towards end of the month then sending results to my clinic in Spain.

Then I start a cycle for an endometrial biopsy (receptiveness and NK cells) due in early March so have to fly back.

Then (!) if all okay will start the actual transfer cycle, so another intramuscular injection (very hard to mix and administer yourself) and drugs. Fingers crossed for a transfer in April.

It’s a lot to do and to process. I’m at IVF Life, Alicante. So far so good 😊

TT82 · 13/02/2024 18:39

@GingerFox2021 thank you! Putting Gynem on my research list. I looked at Cube in Prague, also talked to a smaller one in Olomouc, about OE cycle as nd second opinion, also touched DE topic. What he said straight that a baby will look very different to my own kids... so not sure how much effort they put into matching
Good luck and hoping for good news from you next month 🍀

GingerFox2021 · 13/02/2024 18:31

@TT82 i’m going ahead with Gynem in Prague.
i am doing my cycle to start my period as they disappeared since end of November. I have some simple plain cysts which kind of prevent me from having periods. We’ll try to get rid of them with one injection of Ovitrelle plus some pills first.
I’ll go ahead with frozen eggs. Next month i
might have more updates what’s happening next.

TT82 · 13/02/2024 18:09

@Noodles4Me how is your mock cycle? Did they tell you when is the real cycle? Can I ask which clinic in Spain you are with?

@praying4babba how are you doing? Hope all is good 🙏

@GingerFox2021 how's the preparation going? Also could you share your feedback on the clinic?

I will start my last cycle with OE next week, but dont have high hopes, though very high number of follicles (37!), looks like pcos diagnosis they mentioned when I was younger might get true.
So researching clinics for DE.. Was considering Portugal as non-anonymous, but cannot find a lot of reviews and some are really mixed... So looks mire likely Spain or Czech Republic.. For me quite important that they match my features well... dont ask me why 🙈
Trying to understand which will do the matching process vigorously and better

Noodles4Me · 31/01/2024 17:17

@GingerFox2021 @Kelb79 I’m starting my mock cycle for DE (Spain). The pill and then injection of Decapeptyl. But the injection is meant to be intramuscular and a doctor or nurse should do it. No doctor or nurse will do it so going to have to do it myself.

The belly is not intramuscular but all IVF vids is people injecting into fat in the belly so somehow I have to get my very expensive injections into my butt muscle by myself. And pray I’ve done it right.

Why is everything so hard?

GingerFox2021 · 30/01/2024 23:04

Thank you @Kelb79 @BertLiv .
let’s see. I’m fine with needles when nurses do them and I don’t care, but doing it myself omg. I’m shaking like a leaf and injections have not been even prescribed yet. Haven’t had my dr appt yet 🤷‍♀️. Off to Prague though next week.

BertLiv · 30/01/2024 22:39

@praying4babba Yes, it’s progesterone - I will be on 3 of the 400mg - not great but not bad enough to make me not do it!

@GingerFox2021 I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to worry! I hated the idea of injections but they’re really not as bad as you think. The first is the worst, as you don’t know what to expect, and then you realise it’s fine. My husband hates needles and so didn’t want to do the injections, so he puts the buserelin into the syringe for me, which is perfect!

Kelb79 · 30/01/2024 17:42

@GingerFox2021 it’ll depend on the specific protocol of your clinic. For DE with my Spanish clinic I had to down reg with nasal spray then moved onto progesterone pessaries and oestrogen tablets. After transfer I had to add in various other things up until 10-12 weeks which included Clexane injections. The UK don’t often follow such full on protocols but your clinic might want some of it.
I was terrified of needles pre-IVF and thought there was no way I would cope with the injections…. My OH did them for me for 2 days and then I just needed to do it myself so that I was in full control. I have zero issues with injections now (after 3 ECs and 1 transfer) - you’ll get on so much better than you can ever imagine 🙏🏼🙏🏼
