@Iusedtobedontcall Glad you got a good result and you’re feeling better about it all. I can’t comment on the polycystic ovaries risk, but can say that in October 2022 my AMH was 12 or 13 I think (need to dig notes out and check] and I was 42. Consultant said it was “fine” for my age which made me feel a lot better. During IVF they collected 11 eggs of which 8 fertilised. Consultant said it showed decent egg reserve for my age. So, point of my waffle is that as your AMH is higher, I’d guess you can be assured the odds are good for you as you try for a baby. Wishing you lots of luck x

@Noodles4Me Great news! Typical timing on toothache, always seems like any kind of illness or bugs land during the fertile window! 🙄 Hope you get it sorted soon, toothache is the worst!

@TraceyTarotReader Wishing you luck! The 2ww is horrible.. pesky progesterone gives so many symptoms that are similar to pregnancy and it’s so cruel. Keep strong, not long til you can test x

@TraceyTarotReader 11dpo and have been feeling nauseous today....
AF is only 3 days away s it's probably related to that....
🤷🏻‍♀️

TraceyTarotReader · 29/04/2023 07:11

Morning everyone hope everyone is doing okay 6 dpo today I know this Carnt be pregnancy related but I woke up cramping feeling sick and hot and cold fushes boobs are so tender I always seem to feel ill in the TWW I have allergies that’s not helping . Do anyone else feel like this in the TWW I’m trying so hard not to symptom spot cause I know it’s way to early .

but saying that I have got a positive pregnancy test on 6 dpo last year it’s rare I know but I’m rare 🤣 I’m quite confident it’s not that I took a break from ttc last month as I was ill and my folic acid and vitamin d were quite low and I just kept getting ill all the time so we didn’t do anything but chilled that month

I didn’t get any of these symptoms I’ve mentioned now I have bd all through my fertilie window I’m getting all sorts of symptoms it’s like my body knows when to mess with me .

anyway hope everyone has a good weekend I have my grandchildren for a sleep over today so that’s going to be fun and very tiring lol but I wouldn’t have it any other way .

Noodles4Me · 28/04/2023 19:22

Hi all. Got my AMH results which are perfectly normal for my age. Think my cycle is back to normal. Period finished as predicted, BBT okay.

Fertile window predicted now but only slight LH climb so surge could be anytime in next 3 days so just going to have sex every day if husband can cope! I’ve got awful toothache too but will try ignore it and channel “sexy” 🫣

Iusedtobedontcall · 28/04/2023 18:40

Hi all - got my fertility results today from a blood test. All in normal range except AMH which is on the high side for my age at 16.41 pmol/L which could suggest Polycystic ovaries but is unlikely to negatively affect my fertility and I have good egg reserves for my age/not nearing menopause. So feel better.

TraceyTarotReader · 27/04/2023 06:42

Hello everyone 4 dpo today temps are rising nicely which there supposed to ovulated cd 13 I hope I got good coverage as we bd 3 days before and the day after and in between officially in the TTW which is already dragging I’m not going to test early this month sick and tired of getting positives and then not progressing so I’m just going to wait at least 12 dpo to test . I have to keep myself busy I hate the tww on the other hand I didn’t use opks I was getting stressed using them and going to the loo 2/3 a day to keep testing so I never used them this month and me and dh were less stressed I am temping to confirm so let’s see what this month brings .

hope everyone is doing good x

Whataretheodds · 27/04/2023 06:14

Hope others have better cycles!

Whataretheodds · 27/04/2023 06:13

Got a negative. Think Im 9dpo, so I'm going to leave it for now. Told myself I wouldn't go crazy about testing before my petiod is due! So hard.

Whataretheodds · 27/04/2023 06:04

Thanks @seashoreone@seashoreone

seashoreone · 27/04/2023 06:00

@Whataretheodds after the longest sleep considered first morning wee

Whataretheodds · 27/04/2023 05:54

Any thoughts on what counts as first morning urine?if I'veneeded a wee since 5am shall i use that one? Or does that count as the middle of the night?

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/04/2023 23:48

@catinthesunshine you can take it under your armpit or under your tongue, I do the tongue as it's more accurate.

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 23:45

Possibly a stupid question but where on your body do you take your temperature from?

Thanks so much for all the info!

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/04/2023 23:18

Wow so many new people! Hi all 👋🏻

Temping is actually very easy once you get started, just get yourself a basal body thermometer and take your temp at the same time every morning before you move or get out of bed. So literally set your alarm for a time before you'd usually get up, reach one are out the cover to get your thermometer and take your temp then put it into an app like Premom or fertility friend or Femometer and it'll do it all for you! It'll tell you when you've ovulated then it will be able to give you a rough indication of when you do each month. If you combine this with opk - I use the cheap Femometer strips, others use easy at home, found them better than clearblue. Just start testing with those from the day af stops the first month so you can find your peak then your temp will confirm it by a rise in temp when you ovulate which will be just after your peak. Once you know when roughly when you usually ovulate you can just start testing about 5 days before that until you get your peak.
Hope that all makes sense and helps

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 13:11

D’oh! Thank you so much

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 13:08

@catinthesunshine no they predict your 4 most fertile days..so you can have more chance TTC ..

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 12:43

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:32

@catinthesunshine I would try a pack of the Clearblue - 4 day ones.
They are usually accurate.
Use them with an ovulation tracking app like Flo.
Note all the readings and how you feel and you will get a gist of your most fertile week....
What are your cycle lengths?
Mine since having DD1 are much shorter at 24/25 but still pretty regular. I used to be 28 day cycle length:

Thank you! Do you mean you just use them on 4 days?

My cycle is about 25 days usually. It was 25 like clockwork before I went on the pill years ago - now it’s still settling down.

Wish I’d spent all these years swotting up more on it all. Thanks for the advice! Wishing baby dust to all

To be honest for a long time I was resigned to just not having kids and then suddenly this crazy new world has opened up where we can, but only very late on age-wise.

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 12:27

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:19

@catinthesunshine welcome 🙏
Are you using OPkS or temping?
I'm 44, TTC number 2. I had my first at 40.

Sorry, I kept that rather brief! I’ve tried the cheapie OPKs but haven’t got on that well with them. I was considering forking out for Clearblue but got really flummoxed about what to buy.

We’re in our 40s but have only recently started trying as I used to be on medication that was very harmful in pregnancy. GP advised us not to go down the tracking/temping route and just DTD regularly but I feel like we don’t have time to mess around.

Would be interested to know if people recommend Clearblue.

I really don’t understand temping at all if I’m honest!

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:20

@Rainbows121 I know exactly what you mean...I've jumped between trying to relax about it and feeling frantic on the two week wait!!!

Hi everyone, I’m 42 and TTC #1!

Rainbows121 · 26/04/2023 11:07

Hi all,

I'm 43 and have been ttc #2 on & off for over 2 years. I've tried to just leave it to fate and not stress but it's all I can think about.

TraceyTarotReader · 26/04/2023 06:31

@Trigger2018 i see it congratulations how many dpo are you ?

so took my temp this morning and ff has moved my ovulation day to cd 13 instead of cd 12 only by one day but I’m sure I covered everything 3 dpo today TTW begins 😊
